Earphone Jack

YMIR WAS FED TF UP! SHE SAID “F*CK ALL Y’ALL! I’M GOING WITH EREN’S PLAN!” AND I DON’T BLAME HER! Y’ALL DID HER DIRTY FOR 2,000 YEARS! I’M ON YMIR’S SIDE!

Earphone Jack

Listen…Eren’s plan is f*cked up but after seeing Ymir’s back story…F*CK EVERYBODY ELSE! I’m fully on board with the rumbling.

Michael Ren

Go back and watch Willy's play from in episode 5 of the first part. That explains the vow renouncing war.

Frantix

If the curse is true, then Ymir must’ve had the power of the Titans for at least 13 years. Since she died, that’s when the curse was set for future inheritors I’m assuming. Plus the king said give the power to their grandchildren after her kids die so say those three kids had nine kids in total or something similar, it was therefore set to be the Nine Titans.

Rafiq Alim

The funny thing is that every form of who Ymir was in history true, ymir destroyed Marley so they could easily see her as a devil, her doings made eldia grow so edlian can easily see her as a god with her powers, and in a way she did touch the source of of life, it’s like Kruger said anyone can be a god or devil, it’s all about perspective.

Eren and Ymir with the Black air force energy

Rafiq Alim

A few things I’m going to put so people won’t forget 1. As zeke said eren didn’t see everything in his future, he only glimpses of what his father saw, which is only memories that eren sent him. 2. It was state that the founder could change subjects of Ymir biology, so a lot of changes could have happened within 2000 years, heck eldians turning into Titans by spinal fluid could be one of them. 3. Remember when it said Ymir died after 13 years from getting her powers, it was never said her powers killed her. (Side note, their was a chance she took the spear as a way to commit suicide, which can you blame her for

Roku

Tasha if you're still confused on that, you can go back to episode 5 of this season where Willy Tybur explained who renounced war. His speech puts a lot in perspective now with Ymir's backstory

Love the reaction and discusion. I was sickened by Zeke's whining about royal blood to his brother he put in chains and Ymir who looks like a child being enslaved for 2000+ years. Fritz misused Ymir's powers and lead and conqured with fear. Her rage and Eren's combined could flatten the world and most of the outtside world know of titans because of Marley's warrior program and internment. We saw they all looked down on Eldians except fir Mikasa's people. They were coming for the resources in Paradis as well. "Slave mentality" is awful and ymir appeared tohave that combined with Stockholm Syndrome. Ugh Fritz was disgusting. And as a young woman of color I agree there are deeper layers here that hit different and is triggering. Love you Guys have a Blessed week💜💜💜💜

Earphone Jack

I love how during the end credits both Tre and Tasha had their hands on their mouths with the same shocked expression lol.

Brown

I was thinking (and this is mid discussion btw) thaw might allude to annie...since she might how that thaw out of her crystal.

Kade Wilson

which episode did they said ymir died after 13 years from getting her powers would like to re watch

Brown

That is not what I meant to type but thanks😂

Frantix

Yeah I was wondering because she could’ve healed from that injury but I guess she chose to leave it all. Also I think it was Season 3 Episode 20 when Grisha’s parents (Eren’s Grandparents) told Grisha the Ymir’s story in the history books

Jeremy Knox

Couple things I think you're wrong about Tasha: 1. Maria, Rose and Sina didn't have titan abilities. They strictly just carried on the bloodline. The ability to turn into one is just carried on to a subject of Ymir which is why if you die with a titan ability it just resurfaces into a newborn baby. 2. With the bloodline being continued and more babies being born I believe that's the reason why the founder split into the 8 other abilities. 3. I believe the only reason Ymir was able to shift is because she was the original and had that "parasite" attached to her. I believe you actually need to be a pure titan and eat someone in order to directly take their ability and turn into a shifter. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is through breeding everyone involved would be Eldian, a subject of Ymir AND technically of royal descent. Eldians is just what the original king called his people but subjects of ymir weren't a thing until Maria, Rose and Sina reproduced. By this logic every "eldian" with the ability to turn into a titan would technically also be a royal descendant and that's the biggest plothole I'm seeing. I also haven't read the manga so idk if this is ever addressed or not this is all just speculation from what I've watched and learned in this episode and the hints dropped over the years in the episodes.

Kade Wilson

lol i hadda decipher alittle but but i get what you’re tryna say

Kade Wilson

damn if it was suicide that’s way more sad do we know if in human form a shifter can heal from a stab to the heart? @frantix

Frantix

Well over the course of 2,000 years, Ymir’s (and her kids’) descendants eventually became the majority of Eldia im assuming before Marley took over. Like their bloodline eventually mixed with the others and eventually all of the Eldians became a literal true race classified the Subjects of Ymir. That’s why all Eldians are considered SoY in my opinion

Kraddaku

After this they need to check out season 2 ending

Frantix

I mean Eren in S1 before he fought Annie at the end wasn’t stabbed in the heart but he was punctured by debris. He was still alive. Reiner got stabbed in the chest by Levi in S3, yet he survived. Idk. To me, I feel anything besides major injury to head Shifters can survive and heal if they will it to be done so. Or maybe Ymir just died from that injury

s4ean

If the bloodlines were truly mixed among them all, they would all have royal blood. That doesn't seem to be the case. It also stands to reason that 2,000 years isn't long enough for that bloodline to mix among a million+ people.

All ‘Subjects of Ymir’ are Eldian, but not all Eldians were ‘Subjects of Ymir’. Being an Eldian, just means you were born/have ancestry in Eldia (the continent). Being a SoY means you were one of Ymir’s descendants by blood. I had the same question about all SoY being royal, & I remember reading somewhere, that maybe the “royal” bloodline only followed one of Ymir’s daughter – the one who actually inherited the Founding titan. If Ymir’s power divided evenly between each daughter, then All ‘Subjects of Ymir’ are Eldian, but not all Eldians were ‘Subjects of Ymir’. If Ymir’s power divided evenly between each daughter, then each daughter inherited 3 separate titans. The daughter who directly inherited the Founding titan was the only one considered to be “royal” blood. And if the splitting of those 9 individual titans kept happening each generation, then that would mean there were 3 “royal” bloodlines, and 6 “non-royal” bloodlines…all capable of becoming titans, but only 3 bloodlines who could actually have full control of the Founding titan. It would explain why a royal bloodline, like Zeke’s, could still be found in Eldia, but another royal bloodline, like Historia’s, was found on Paradis, and we know that neither of them are siblings. They’re probably distant cousins of each other. So, while technically all Subjects’ of Ymir are royal, the Founding Titan (a.k.a. Ymir herself, or the “Source”) could consider only one daughters’ bloodline “pure” and label it as “royal”. Remember the Founding titan can alter physiology of all subjects, so it could have also just been a simple thing to make one or more bloodlines “royal”, and all others not. I mean, Ymir’s word is law.
