Mentioning Grosjman reminded my that my Nana had Yvresse in the old style bottle with the metal rope round it. She was a tremendously powerful matriarch who loved a drink and was very vital, so it seems fitting. I loved it when I resmelled it last year after TPN introduced me to Aromatics Elixir and it trigged a memory of my Nana. I asked my auntie if her mum wore it and she produced Yvresse saying maybe it was this. Perhaps it was the chypre aspect that was the link, as they don't seem alike in other ways, I don't know.
