We're diving into this time jump and finding out just what the heck happened after Suho left. So many emotions, as usual, but besides laughing at Grapefruit and drunk Jugyeong, we're also pretty ticked at Suho. We ship it, but he's got a lot to make up for in our opinions!

Suho was her first love so it was hard to get over. Especially since she had zero say in the decision of it ending. He decided for them because she was always waiting for him at all hours of the night and getting sick. Schools in Korea are on a semester system. First semester is March to mid-July, Second semester is September to February. The change of grade is over the winter break, but the grade change break (February to Mach) is only a few weeks. The break between 1st and 2nd semester is longer (about 6 weeks). In the US we do 10-12 weeks between grade changes, that contributes to the 'summer slide' we experience. Strawberry guy is another one from Extra-ordinary You. He is the main in the show Sh**ting Stars on Viki is a a fabulous one to watch imho. The OST is available on Spotify.

Have you noticed that they all look more mature, to emphasize the passing of time? Jukyung’s voice is lower. Suho’s bangs are swept to the side and he looks so dashing in his clothes. He already looked good as a high school boy. He’s fatal as an adult. Anyways, I digress. Guess what else usually happens when you’re an adult? 😜 a couple words of warning: Suho drunk is the most adorable thing, and Suho after he sobers up is dangerous. 🥰

This was the biggest disagreement me and my bff had. I understand why Suho broke with her, and my friend did not. We had to agree to disagree. The main difference between us - I have been in long distance relationships and she has not. A lot of people will assume that Suho broke up with Jugyeong for her sake only, and don't stop to think about him. Everything he has already gone through with his past (his mother dying, his best friend dying, thinking he's the reason for his best friend's death, and a rocky relationship with his father and other best friend), what he's going through now (the fear of possibly losing yet another important person in his life RIGHT as he was finally going to make amends), on top of a long distance relationship (odd sleep schedule, needing them as emotional support but not getting it because words can only comfort so much and it's frustrating, and when something happens to them you are completely useless) - no matter how much he loves her. You have to remember that just because you find someone you love, all the trauma and mental issues you deal with do not magically disappear. Suho has SO many things piled on his shoulders right now that he needs to remove something in order to cope with everything going on, and since he can't abandon his father or his past, the only other option is to break up with his long distance girlfriend. Jugyeong still has every right to be upset with him from her point of view, but she didn't see everything he's going through like us viewers have. Be upset with Suho if you want, but I personally never was.

Yeah, it doesn't come to mind as easily if you haven't been in a similar situation. Like when I was dating long distance there were times where I'd be in such a bad head space that I just wanted to be left alone, and texting and calling seemed like a chore. It's not that I didn't love or care for the other person, I just needed time alone, but when you're in that kind of relationship you have a tendency to call at least once day and text a lot. If that stops then the other person is wondering if you're upset at them and in the end everything piled on is honestly just stressful. But on her end, she has no issues going on except studying for school. Everything else was resolved with her friends, family, and school life. I'm sure she still also has the trauma from her past, but she's in recovery mode while he's still on a constant downward spiral.

Remember, I told you I disliked episode 15 - this is one of the reasons. They rushed it and didn't show Suho's side. I told you, its not a love triangle. It is a love between a couple and unrequited love of one person. Also, if you are wondering why Suho was running after LJK after coming back was coz he said he will go to namsan tower during 1st now to wish she remembers him and when saw LJK he knew she still has feelings for her and that's why he went after. And yes, they had long distance relationship for 1year but when she became sick, he thought being with him is giving her stress and he can't take care for her nor he knows when his father would wake up from coma so he broke up with her. I hated that he didn't take her wish into consideration though and I wanted LJK to keep him waiting a bit more. If they wanted to add some pain, they could have continued to show struggle that people with long distance go through but they wanted something dramatic and showed the whole breakup thing & that too when the didn't have time to handle it properly. PS - Which will be the next drama you will be reacting to? I hope its rookie historian goo hae-ryung. One thing I love about eunwoo's dramas are about uplifting women. In rookie historian, the female wears the pant and Cha Eunwoo is dramatic, romantic like grapefruit ahahah. BTW, Cha Eunwoo new drama will come soon. Island in nov or dec 2022 hopefully and a good day to be a dog in 1st half of 2023.

They haven't picked the next drama yet! They're going to put up a poll soon for us to vote on the next drama to watch. :) I also love how all his dramas have a theme of empowering women. He's so smart and picks his dramas well. I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I SAW ISLAND WAS STILL SET TO BE RELEASED THIS YEAR!!! The actor Cha drought will be cured with back to back dramas (and hopefully a movie..) and I'm so happy!

Oh wow, so many emotions!!! I'm looking forward to episode 16 next week. This has been so much fun watching True Beauty with everyone: sharing comments and watching Mer and Free's reactions. I have enjoyed this even more than the first time I watched TB. I hope the next Drama that is selected will give us the same opportunity to get as emotionally invested as this one.

Free kudos on noticing that uncomfortable “ cringing away” from Seojun everytime he rubs her head. When i decided to watch TB with you both it’s bcz i know u both have the sensitivity and emphatic observation and reaction to subtle things . The difference b/n her reaction to Suho rubbing her head and Seojun’s glaring as to what her feeling towards both. She never wavered . I wanted to really have you both focus on the writing of the wall cz that was like a love promise to each other . “ The first snow” and being in Namsan tower the highest part of Seoul and be the first one to be touched by the first snow fall for their wishes to come true . Only to both of them did the first snow fall has deep meaning. That’s why IJG cried while eating lunch with Seojun cz it was snowing. Every scene she’s in Namsan tower it’s snowing. Suho going straight to Namsan tower as soon as he arrived in Seoul bcz it was the first snow and seeing IJG there he knows nothing have changed with IJG’s feeling for him. He knew she read his response he wrote on the wall about his wish for her to remember him as the crybaby boy. It was a month of long distance relationship and he was about to go home when SH’s Dad had another , this time much serious stroke & heart attack where he came out unresponsive . I think it was going on towards a year that SH finally had to be harsh for both to break up cz after IJG got sick and he could not even be there to support her and not knowing his Dad would ever wake up and what condition he would be if he ever wakes up he thought it was for IJG health sake he has to do it. His intention was unselfish and out of love for IJG. & at that time they both are 18/19 yrs old. IJG knows SH did what he did not bcz he stopped loving her but bcz he was thinking of her albeit her opinion against it . So look kindly on Suho knowing IJG was his happiness yet he has to let go. Love can make us all stupid sometimes.
