Cursed to Infinity Chapter 20 (Patreon)

Noritoshi Kamo and his crew that were assigned to hunting this dragon weren't messing around to say the least. The ride itself taking a half an hour out of Kyoto's walls and then into the abandoned countryside was filled with the sounds of battle at least once every five minutes or so.

But even still, my armored vehicle didn't have any issues for the ride in which I just talked with Ui Ui for a bit and otherwise just prepared myself for what was to come.

Because I had a sinking feeling, that I was going to end up absorbing the dragon's soul or something with how I was a dragonborn... But that also laid an extra issue. The dragons of this world, very much weren't Elder Scrolls dragons.

And I think Kamo would end up rather pissed if I slurped up the soul and all the meat on the dragon just by standing next to it.

The vehicle came to a crawl and a loud rumble rang out before likewise a roar rang out in the distance. "And that would be our target." I said flatly as I quickly pushed open the door to the armored care.

As I most certainly wasn't going to lock myself away within an armored car blind to the world around me.

And as I got out of the vehicle I saw the dragon already some three hundred meters awayu as it crawled out of a large hole it had seemingly smashed into an old abandoned office building it had taken over.

The dragon as Kamo had said previously was actually a Flood Dragon, which meant that for one it was much weaker than a true dragon. But it also was more serpentine in nature with it's long body being more than a hundred meters long and a good five or six meters thick while it had a draconic head and some little stubby arms near it's head.

"It doesn't have any wings?" I noted to myself but as though hearing my words. The flood dragon's slitted eyes snapped to my form and it roared it's roar making my ears pop with the volume and making me squint at the pain.

"Start shooting!" I then heard Kamo yell even as he sent the typical Kamo clan blood constructs in an augmented arrow that exploded like a rocket when it hit the dragon on it's face.

The dragon snarled as the blood fog faded as it lashed back and forth and I saw how the Kamo heirs blood arrow had at least broke the dragon's scales and ripped into it's muscles a bit.

"Jake lets just stay-" Ui Ui started and then she abruptly stopped my vision twisted as she teleported me and her atop one of the nearby abandoned buildings as a powerful laser of compressed water cut my armored car almost in half with how it crumpled it.

"Ui Ui, can you teleport in the middle of the air?" I asked curiously as I took a breath seeing I almost just died even as the flood dragon howled in fury and pain as several more cursed energy techniques, gun fire, and what looks like curses from devils began hitting it.

Ui Ui without letting go of my arm said quietly. "I can. But it can't be used offensively remeber?"

"If you teleport us both in front of the dragon in the air, to let me get close to attack, would that count?" I asked for confirmation.

Ui Ui didn't hesitate to say bluntly. "I can teleport you there, but then it would an offensive use and my Binding Vow would punish me very badly Jake."

I frowned and then asked. "If I attack and you just teleport me away from retaliation would that be fine?" 

Ui Ui said more easily. "That is fine so long as you understand I will be teleporting you well away from the dragon when it retaliates so you purposefully can't take advantage." 

Ui Ui's binding vow to not use her Cursed Technique of teleportation offensively was fucking annoying but it made it stupidly efficent for her and allowed her to rapid fire teleport or even teleport me and other people across the world if needed.

But even as I was about to speak in the dragon's tongue to do my own damage to the Flood Dragon, I felt Ui Ui let go of my arm and then with a flicker of motion she instantly landed back on the ground to pick up a sorcerer who had half their face sanded off due to the flood dragons power washer breath.

"Oh wow you got fucked up there... Dude?" I said as it was rather hard to tell their gender when half their face was bone and muscle and the other half was also rather fucked. Along with their form also being covered in mud so I just got to work using a two-word Thum to fix the man up.

Then I was forced to look up as a loud rumble rang out as the flood dragon smashed into my building with a furious roar. "Jake! Get out of there! The dragon is after you!" Kamo yelled at me and I frowned with some frustration entering me.

I was supposed to be the fucking healer, not the tank-pulling aggro on the damned dragon.

Ui Ui grabbed both me and the previously injured but still unconscious dude and teleported us back to the end of the convoy to drop off the unconscious man whose face had been put back together.

"Ui Ui. I am going to tell that dragon off." I said flatly as even when the dragon smashed into the roof of the building looking for us. I instantly noticed how the dragon looked down the street, past all the other cars building and the other sorcerer's attacking it.

All to focus on me!

"Just be careful." Ui Ui whispered as she held onto my hand as we began running towards the dragon that threw itself into the air and began flying straight for us.

"Teleport us in front of it's water bombs and beams. I need to get close." I called out as I saw a large blob of water filling the mouth of the flood dragon.

And my vision blurred as we shot forward and to the side in a teleport mid-step as a beam of compressed water made the old decrepit asphalt we were running on explode where we were at previously.

But we were close... So close that finally. Finally, I got to do exactly what I was reborn to do in this world!

I took a deep breath as the flood dragon's head was but five meters away from me. And I roared out every man's childhood dream that playing Skyrim. "Fus Ro Dah!"

I drew upon all the words and knowledge I had on the words of power. And I saw the true power of the classical Unrelenting Force shout as a wave of pure force crushed the ground and air as it shot forward and into the dragon's face.

The dragon's facial scales exploded, its flesh torn, and I saw in almost slow motion how its bones broke down as pure kinetic energy shattered it's draconic spine and separated it's head from its main body as the main body couldn't keep up with the 'Force' being applied to the head itself.
