Here's our early access link to our reaction to TXT's Farewell, Neverland (Live Band Ver.)!

It's been a great long journey, and although we do not understand the full story, we felt melancholic, nostalgic, and moved. So thank you TXT and we cannot wait for a new journey to begin!

Enjoy!

Musicians react & review ♡ TXT - Farewell, Neverland

Final song on the list, and it was very moving to say the least. The fact that this was a live performance video probably added to the overall effect, but it felt like our journey with TXT on this album has ended and left us feeling slightly melancholic about everything (reminded us of our own reactions to Tinnitus, Devil by the Window, Sugar Rush Ride, etc. etc.). In the best way possible though! This was a wonderful album, and we can't wait for another journey :) As we say in the video, recently reacted to TXT's lollapalooza concert clip over at our patreon page! Really loved this album- it was the first TXT I checked out! Great reactions as always ❤️

My personal favourite from the album, and one of the few songs to ever consistently give me chills haha - it sounds so coherently put together to me, so I can't wait to see what you thought about the composition and production! The live band version is super close to the studio version too because they left the vocals extremely raw for the most part, but there is some amazingly well placed nuances in the latter with reverb rounding of phrases that makes it feel enormous or empty too, if you haven't listened to that version yet - I think they translated the feeling of 'falling' really well somehow. My own opinion is that melancholy and bittersweetness has always quietly been TXT's forte in both themes and performance. It's definitely less overt sometimes but they always manage to nail it! Without having to refer to any of the bigger 'storyline lore', I think the most basic narrative of the album reads as someone falling in and then out of a temptation. It's left ambiguous, so anything could be related, even chronic procrastination which Happy Fools most reminds me of. But in combination with the subtle Peter Pan theme and the progression of their themes through their albums, the most direct temptation they're facing is the nature of their childhood and adolescence - which many people find much more free - and wanting to hold on to that as they're faced with inevitably growing up out of it. I think it's possible to keep that spirit in adulthood in a balanced way, but too much escapism from maturity can definitely hold you down in the past and slow life down as well, so I can understand it in that way. I'm very excited to see where they go next musically and conceptually, since it was mentioned that Farewell Neverland and that first crazy concept trailer were the closest things leading in to the next album - I have hopes it will be either very ethereal or darkly dramatic haha.

A slightly shorter comment if the one I left before is tldr for you - thanks again for another great reaction! ^^ It was very cool to have the 9ths pointed out. I hadn't noticed that it didn't really have a vocal break either, but I think that makes sense. Since it gives it so much momentum along with all the space that's created (esp. in studio ver!) it really ties in to the 'free-falling'. Like word-painting through the whole production.

A love show of this song is what first got me interested in txt. Their music is more hit or miss for me than say skz or ateez, but this song makes me feel things!

Oh this is awesome. Thanks for the thorough look into this song. We see it now too - that they have this inexplicable sense of nostalgia and melancholy to all their songs - like it's from another universe altogether. And wow, the lore part woke me up for sure. It makes so much sense!! We love it even more now so thank you again :D

IKR?! this. this is one of my very favorite songs by anyone. i’m so glad you watched this live version- i love this one more than the studio version because… i don’t even know? something about the combination of intimate emotion of the song, the rawness of the vocals, and especially being able to hear the clean, raw instruments. that part when the instruments first come in with drums and everything… i have to make fists and a stank face every. time. 🫠❤️❤️❤️ i’m so glad you loved it too.
