Here's our reaction to J-Hope's More Music Video ! :D

Let us just tell you, we did not see this kind of music comin from J-hope (granted we don't know jack sh!t about his style so we didn't have anything in advance) - but as we say in the video, we always saw J-hope as a nice, positive, energetic person and we think we unconsciously thought he'd come up with a bright sound!

Well, but either way, we most certainly loved what we got and in fact, preferred this type of sound :D Fits him so well, and now we are INTRIGUED.

Musicians react & review ♡ J-Hope - More (MV)

Following our first time reaction to Agust D & Jungkook is this FIRST TIME reaction to J-Hope's MORE! To us, J-Hope was always the vibrant, happy, positive, and enthusiastic one out of the BTS members we've seen - he has that dance moves, that positivity, that captivating energy and the best smile. So although we know about his Chicken Noodle Soup, and really, had no specific expectations, we still did NOT expect this type of sound. WOW. Pleasantly surprised!!! Cannot wait for more, and to get to other members' single tracks! :D And of course, if you wish to suggest us songs, get access to extra contents, and wish to follow our journey real time, consider supporting us at http://patreon.com/handsomesausages !! Absolutely love J Hope and all the member’s solos. Jack In The Box is fantastic as well as his mixtape Hope World. This was the first music to come out from them after they announced “Act 2” last year, that they were all going to focus on solo stuff, take a step back, and of course now all finish their military service before coming back together in 2025. I highly recommend “Arson” from JITB as well- in it he talks about exactly what you said in the video- how he has that bright, bubbly personality. So much so that he felt the pressures of always being everyone’s hope, it’s really powerful. Truly you can’t go wrong with any of the members solos, I can’t wait for you to get to RM and his mixtape “mono” and album “Indigo”- you should check out his Tiny Desk he did last December! Anyway stopping now- but thank you so much for checking out J Hope!! 💜

NO WAY!!!!! stahp!!!! omg I love that you are... Thank you for reacting to this!!! This was the first song I ever heard by any BTS member, then Arson hooked me then I discovered Suga and watched i-land and went "wait they are in a group together? THAT'S AWESOME!" After that I decided to watch/ listen to all of their solos (RM Indigo my gosh) and I have only been listening to BTS for like a couple months now. This is me HUMBLY BEGGING you to react to J-Hope Lollapalooza, I watch it like 3x a week lol.

Yep, I'm Liberty

BRUH! WHAT?!?! (〇o〇;) I had no idea this was coming and I'm loving it! "More" blew me away the first time I heard it because, like you, I wasn't really expecting this kind of sound from him. I was expecting more of a Hope World/Chicken Noodle Soup smiley vibe, but this darkness fits him so well. His next one, "Arson", I feel is even better - you really need to check that one out too when you get a chance.

yes, i also recommend Arson! it's amazing

I love this song! The whole Jack in the Box album is great - I especially also love Arson, which others here have mentioned, and = (equal sign), because I'm always going to stan for gay rights music. But re: being surprised at j-hope having a darker sound given his bright vibe, I think a lot of people misunderstand where j-hope's happiness comes from. People see someone being bright and hopeful and frequently dismiss it as airheaded or naive or simplistic (not saying you're doing this, only that some do!) because they think there's no depth to being happy; that depth only comes through darker emotions. But there is a tremendous bravery to hope, and all the more so when it comes from someone who has experienced despair. I think it was Suga who said that, when he first met j-hope, he thought he was the most depressed kid he'd ever seen - and coming from Suga, that's no small statement. j-hope chose his name, not because hope is easy, but because it's *necessary* - because he understands despair and has chosen the alternative. The kind of strength it takes to prioritize joy the way he does... so many people just don't see it, and it makes me insane. There is incredible depth to j-hope, both personally and musically, and as such, I don't think there's a contradiction between the darker music on Jack in the Box and the brighter stuff he put out with Hope World, because the unifying theme is hope, where hope as a concept is equal parts euphoric dreaming and dirt-knuckled spitting blood as you get back up again. The album title is a reference to Pandora's box (I love a mythology shoutout!) where the only thing left in the box is hope; and More is, I would argue, a song about hope in the guise of ambition, desire: the drive for more and better. ANYWAY yes hello [vibrating at totally normal frequencies] I Have A Lot Of Feelings About BTS's Rapline

Yassss! My sunshine Hobi!! More by JHope is one of my absolute favorites and the whole Jack in Box is great and deserves a listen to. Arson would be a good follow up. I’m not surprised that you didn’t see this coming from him. I think a lot of people look at J-hope and think sunshine and rainbows but the reality is he is a perfect contradiction. Yes, he may be my sunshine member but I also know that he knows how the opposite feels and that he chooses the hope and sunshine. There is so much more depth to him than you see just by looking. Anyways, I would say you should take a look at all of the members solo stuff. Even if you don’t want to deep dive into the group as a whole, their solo projects are more than worth it to listen to. 🖤

You perfectly summed up everything jumping around my brain and said it better than anyone else could. Thank you! 🖤

I love this so much I cried..... from the moment I met hobi i knew that there was depth to his joy. Simply because I am so familiar with the "It's going to be ok because IT HAS TO BE ok" mindset. I can't even begin to describe how much I adore him. ♡
