今回は、新潟温泉旅 後編です😊♨️

温泉旅3日目。

新潟県阿賀野町に道の駅がオープンするということで、行ってみることに。

This is the second part of our Niigata hot spring trip 😊♨️

Day 3 of my hot spring trip.

A roadside station is opening in Agano Town, Niigata Prefecture, so we decided to go there.

道の駅あがの。

可愛いキャラクラーが描かれています。

道の駅にはいつも旅でお世話になっているので、

全国各地に道の駅が増えることはとてもありがたいです。

I've always been a big fan of roadside stations on my travels.

I am very grateful that there are more roadside stations all over the country.

新潟県には美味しい食材がたくさんあるので、

地元の農家さんたちが作った野菜やフルーツなどを見ながら、いろいろ選べるのがいいです。

There are so many delicious foods in Niigata Prefecture.

You can choose from a variety of vegetables and fruits produced by local farmers.

新潟県といえば枝豆。

冷凍枝豆との味の違いに驚きでした。

今まで冷凍の味しか知らなかった。。

こんなに美味しいとは。

Niigata Prefecture is known for its edamame.

I was surprised at the difference in taste from frozen edamame.

I had only known the taste of frozen edamame.

I had no idea they tasted so good.

お買い物後は、五頭温泉郷 村杉温泉へ。

先月も村杉温泉に行き、ラジウム泉の魅力に取り憑かれ、

今月もまた足を運んでしまいました。

訪れたのは、村杉温泉 川上屋旅館。

あらせい旅館のすぐ隣にある旅館さんです。

After shopping, we went to Murasugi Onsen in Goto Onsenkyo.

I visited Murasugi Onsen last month, and was so fascinated by its radium spring water that I went back again this month.

I visited Kawakamiya Ryokan, which is right next to Arasei Ryokan.

入り口には阿賀野市イメージキャラクターの「ごずっちょ」が出迎えてくれました。

Gozucho, the image character of Agano City, greeted us at the entrance.

ステンドガラスが印象的なお風呂。

The stained glass bath is impressive.

鬼の湯口と一緒に記念撮影しました。

ラジウム泉は、ラジウムやラドンを含む放射能泉。

放射能と聞くと、体に悪い影響がありそうなイメージですが、

「生物に対して通常有害な作用を示すものが、微量であれば逆に良い作用を示す生理的刺激作用」をもたらすそうです。

ラジウム温泉は、泉質の中でも非常に奥深い泉質だなと思いました。

Radium spring is a radioactive spring containing radium and radon.

The word "radioactivity" may sound like it has a bad effect on the body, but it is not.

However, radium springs are said to have "physiologically stimulating effects that are usually harmful to living organisms, but in minute quantities can have a beneficial effect on them.

Radium hot springs are one of the most profound types of spring water.

村杉温泉には共同浴場もあります。

村杉温泉で働く方に聞くと、8割はガン治療の方だそうです。

湯治という言葉は本物なのだと実感しました。

しばらく新潟県に滞在した後、福島方面へ戻りました。

温泉旅最後に訪れたのは、

栃木県 那須塩原市の山奥にある三斗小屋温泉 煙草屋旅館に訪れました。

Murasugi Onsen also has a public bathhouse.

When I asked a worker at Murasugi Onsen, he told me that 80% of the people working there are people undergoing treatment for cancer.

I realized that the term "hot spring cure" is a real thing.

After staying in Niigata Prefecture for a while, I returned to the Fukushima area.

The last stop on my hot spring trip was a visit to the Santogoya Onsen Smokehouse Ryokan, 

located deep in the mountains of Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture.

ずっと前から行きたかった徒歩でしか辿り着かない山小屋の温泉。

辿り着くまでに往復4時間以上はかかると聞いていたので、

中々行く勇気が持てませんでした。

ようやく先月行こうと思っていたのですが、悪天候のため延期。。。

そして今回リベンジしに来ました！

I had always wanted to go to a hot spring in a mountain lodge that could only be reached on foot.

I had heard that it would take more than four hours to get there and back.

I had never had the courage to go.

Finally, last month, I was going to go, but postponed it due to bad weather.

This time, I came back for revenge!

出だしから登り道が続くハードな道のり。

途中から道が開け、綺麗な山の景色が見えました。

The road was hard from the start, with an uphill trail.

Halfway up, the path opened up to reveal a beautiful mountain view.

ゴツゴツな岩の上。すぐ隣が谷底の細道。今にも落石しそうな斜面。

何度も諦めかけましたが、

そんな中を老若男女、いろんな方達が登っている姿を見て、私も頑張れました。

On a craggy rock.

 Right next to it is a narrow path at the bottom of the valley. 

The slope looked as if it would fall any moment.

I almost gave up many times.

But seeing people of all ages and genders climbing up the slope, I was able to keep going.

道のりに慣れてくると、自然の中のふとした綺麗な瞬間が見えるようになってきました。

As I got used to the path, I began to see sudden beautiful moments in nature.

飲み物が尽きた頃、最終の道のりに「延命水」と書かれた看板が。

When I ran out of drinks, we saw a sign on the last leg of the road that read "Enmei Sui" (prolonged life water).

飲んでみると、とっても美味しい！

こんなに水が美味しいと感じたことがないくらい、本当に美味しいお水でした。

まさに「延命水」。

空のペットボトルに汲み、目的地へ。

I drank it and it tasted soooo good!

The water was really delicious, I have never felt water tastes so good.

It is truly "life-enhancing water.

I filled our empty plastic bottles and headed for our destination.

やっと着いた。煙草屋旅館。

立派な佇まいで、昔にタイムスリップしたような雰囲気があります。

I finally arrived. The Tobacco Shop Ryokan.

It has a magnificent appearance, and it is like stepping back in time.

温泉の小川の先に入り口がありました。

The entrance was located at the end of the hot spring creek.

なんともいえないノスタルジックな空間。

何もない場所が、すごく価値のある場所に感じました。

いざ目的の温泉へ♨️

The space is indescribably nostalgic.

I felt the empty place was a very valuable place.

Now it's time to go to the desired hot spring ♨️

は〜〜〜〜最高。

その一言です。

それ以上の言葉が見つからない。

（私いつもそれしか言っていない。）

こちらは源泉掛け流しの混浴露天風呂。

山の上は天候が崩れやすく、景色が見られないことも多々あるようですが、

運よく晴れて、遠くの山まで見渡すことができました。

I can't find any more words than that.

(I always say only that.)

This is a mixed bathing open-air bath with free-flowing spring water.

The weather on top of the mountain tends to break easily, and there are many times when you can't see the scenery.

Luckily, the weather cleared up and we could see as far as the mountains in the distance.

湯上がり後に大きなおにぎりをいただきました。

最近食べたおにぎりの中で一番美味しかった🤤

After the hot bath, I had a big rice ball.

It was the best rice ball I have had recently🤤.

天候が悪くなってきたので、はやめに下山。

山の天候は変わりやすい。

下山し始めて、20分後くらい。

ダッシュで走ってくる女の子がきました。

忘れ物を届けにきてくれたみたい。

なんて優しいの。というか、なんという脚力。

なんとなく気が合い、アブに囲まれながら山の中で30分ほど語り合い、

「また会おうね。」と最後に記念撮影をして再び下山。

The weather was getting worse, so we hurried down the mountain.

The weather in the mountains is changeable.

About 20 minutes after we started our descent.

A girl came dashing down the mountain.

She seemed to have come to deliver something she had forgotten.

How kind of her. Or rather, how strong her legs were.

I somehow hit it off and talked for about 30 minutes in the mountains, surrounded by horseflies.

Let's meet again. We took a commemorative photo and went back down the mountain.

少し雨がパラつきながら、なんとか無事下山。

到着してすぐに信じられないほどの豪雨が降ってきました。

よかった〜。

旅の帰り道。素敵な風景と出会ったので載せておきます。

I managed to get down the mountain safely, with a little bit of rain sprinkling.

As soon as we arrived, an unbelievably torrential rain started to fall.

Thank goodness.

On the way back from the trip. I met some nice scenery, so I'm posting it here.
