A recently completed commission. While visiting the lagoon Smolder and Ocellus have a run-in with the local marine life. The piece is done in my traditional mixed media of colored pencil, marker pen, technical pen, and white gouache. The image size is 14" x11" on Strathmore 400 Series Vellum Bristol.

2021-08-14 21:31:33 I know this probably looks even more amazing in person. I can’t recall seeing a recent color piece by you but this is stunning! I zoomed in on the water an it’s an amazing effect that you were able impart both motion & reflection with different color shades. The expressions are also a delight as is the lighting & shadows; again really sharp how the different shades gives it like an almost polorid feel. This is going to look beautiful when framed for sure. Very sharp Baron an someones gonna be very happy when they see this in person 👍

This is so gorgeous. It makes me realize how long it’s been since we last saw a colored piece from you, and how much I’ve missed seeing them. I’m sure they are a *ton* of work though, but hopefully we’ll get to see many more pieces like this in the future. :-)
