Jennifer, formerly known as Jeffrey, looked down at her new breasts with a mixture of disbelief and horror, still unable to believe what had just happened. She tried to think clearly, but the constant stream of thoughts about boys, sex, and shopping was making it impossible.

“So, like, can you tell me again why this happened?” she asked, her voice high-pitched and dripping with the dumb, bubbly tone she couldn’t seem to control. “I just, um, can’t, like, really follow what you’re saying.”

The girl across from her, a brunette with a sharp smile that practically screamed ‘trouble,’ leaned back and crossed her arms. “Wow, Jen—sorry, Jeffrey—you really don’t remember? You’ve gotten even dumber than I thought.”

Jennifer’s face flushed with embarrassment. “I’m not, like, dumb! I’m just… um, confused, okay? So, like, can you explain it, but, like, simpler?”

The brunette burst out laughing, a sound that made Jennifer shrink in her seat. “Oh, this is priceless! The big, bad lawyer who thought she was so much better than everyone else, now a bimbo who can't even follow a basic conversation. This is too good.

Jennifer bit her lip, unable to hold back her emotions any longer. “Please,” she whined, hating how pathetic she sounded. “Just, like, tell me what happened!”

The girl rolled her eyes, but the smile never left her face. “Okay, okay, I’ll dumb it down for you, babe. So, remember Margot? The client you totally screwed over? You took her money, ruined her business, and left her with nothing. And now, thanks to her little curse, you get to see how the other half lives—well, the half you used to think was beneath you.”

Jennifer blinked, trying to process the words, but it was like trying to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing. “Wait… so, like, she did this? She, um, made me into… this?”

“Bingo! You always were a fast learner, huh?” the girl teased, leaning forward with a smirk. “Margot cursed you to be exactly what you thought was so pathetic—a pretty, dumb blonde with nothing going on upstairs.”

The words made sense, sort of, but the meaning behind them kept slipping away, just out of reach. “But… but why?” she asked, her voice trembling. “I don’t, like, get it!”

The girl sighed dramatically before taking a long sip from her glass of wine, a small red drop staining the corner of her lip. "What are you thinking about right now? Or should I ask who?”

Jennifer tried to focus on the girl’s words, but her mind kept wandering. Her gaze involuntarily flicked to the window, where a group of guys walked by, their laughter ringing through the air. She caught herself before her smile could fully form, quickly turning back to the girl across from her.

“I’m… I’m thinking about, like, how to fix this!” Jennifer said, her voice trembling as she tried to sound convincing. “Not about… not about anything else.”

She quickly looked away, but it was too late. The girl across from her had caught the glance, and her smirk grew wider. "Oh really? Because it sure looked like you were checking them out."

Jennifer’s cheeks burned with embarrassment. "No! I wasn’t, like, checking them out! I was just… um, noticing them!" She tried to sound convincing, but her voice wavered, and even she didn’t believe herself.

"Uh-huh," the girl said, drawing out the syllables with a teasing lilt. "And I suppose you’re not playing with your hair because you want them to notice you, either?" She gestured to Jennifer’s hand, which had, without her even realizing it, started twirling a strand of blonde hair around her finger.

Jennifer yanked her hand away as if it had been burned. "I don’t want them to notice me!" she insisted, gritted her teeth, trying to push away the intrusive thoughts that were swirling in her mind—thoughts of guys, dates, and all the things she used to mock. "I'm not, like, interested in—”

But before she could finish, a tall, handsome guy approached their table, his eyes fixed on Jennifer with an appreciative smile. “Hey there,” he said smoothly, his gaze lingering on her chest for just a moment before meeting her eyes. “Mind if I join you ladies?”

Without thinking, Jennifer’s face lit up with a bright, inviting smile. “Oh, um, sure! I mean, like, if you want to…” Her voice was bubbly, almost giggly, and she inwardly cursed herself for sounding so eager.

The brunette raised an eyebrow, barely containing her amusement as she watched Jennifer’s automatic response. “Wow, Jen, you really don’t waste any time, do you?”

Jennifer’s smile faltered as she realized what she had just done, but it was too late. The guy was already pulling up a chair, his attention fully on her. She wanted to tell him to go away, to insist that she wasn’t interested, but the words wouldn’t come. Instead, she found herself biting her lip, her eyes lingering on his face and body in a way that made her cheeks flush.

The girl across from her just shook her head with a smirk. "Looks like it's time for me to go," she said, finishing her drink and standing up. "Have fun, Jen. And try not to think too much. You'll only hurt yourself."
