Vote for a New Reward! (Patreon)

Hello everyone!  First of all - wow, the first half of this year has been pretty crazy!  I never expected such great support from all of you.  It's super encouraging, and I've been inspired to write more because of it.

For the past couple of months, I've mulled over the thought of adding an additional reward for all tiers.  This way, not only do you get the new chapters a week early, but an ongoing reward to go along with that.  This is where I'd like your input, because I'm not sure what you'd like best!

Please vote for which of the following 4 options you'd most like to see in the (hopefully) near future.  I'm going to describe them in concept here, but they could change as I work through the logistics.

1. Weekly/Bi-weekly Drabbles - this one is pretty self explanatory!  I could write short drabbles, which I'd send weekly or every other week via email (so as not to clog up this website).  They'll just be cute/sweet/fluffy - like a little slice of happy RWBY delivered to your inbox.  I have an example of one here:

Ruby wasn’t known as the ‘beautiful’ sister, but Weiss could never figure out why not.  Why did the rest of Beacon overlook Ruby’s inherent beauty?  How did they miss the kindness and love radiating from her?  Sure, Yang was also beautiful, but her beauty was so blatant it was almost overwhelming - like looking directly into the sun.

But Ruby...Ruby was like a sunrise.  The first hint of her true beauty was an array of colors - reds, oranges, yellows - that barely peeked over the horizon.  Most might ignore it, but those willing to sit and watch were treated to a spectacle.  More than that, those who watched closely knew that there was much more beauty to come.

Weiss was watching closely.

While everyone else had their eyes on Yang, she had her eyes on Ruby - watching Ruby’s beauty grow and waiting for the day when everyone else saw it too.  There’d come a time when people wondered which of the two was more beautiful.  Of course, she already knew that answer.

2. Community Input for Stories - fairly often, I come across questions I could use your input on!  This could include anything from a name for an outside character, what Ruby eats for breakfast, or titles for oneshots.  That's where you would come in!  I could create polls to answer those questions for me.  Pick the option you like best, then potentially see it added to the story!

I think this option could evolve in the future to incorporate some fun ideas, such as voting for oneshot prompts or other adventures.

3. Discord - Patreon has the ability to transfer your Tier Levels to a server on Discord.  If you're not familiar with Discord, it's essentially a chat software where you can join specific servers set up for different groups of people.  I spend a fair amount of time on there, so this would be a way to ask questions or chat with me/other patrons.

One thing I might be able to include with this option is a daily writing log, where we could all track what story I'm working on each day and how many words I've written.  I think that'd be pretty cool!  (Or maybe depressing for me...)

4. 'Making Of' Videos/Recordings - this one might take the most time to set up because I don't currently have the technological know-how to do it.  But I could do a video or voice recording from start to finish writing some of the oneshots I've been posting.

This is definitely the most involved option so wouldn't be as frequent.  But I could ramble through the idea generation process, show my doc screen (I think) as I type everything, then walk through how I edit/proofread.

These are the four options I came up with that I thought you'd be interested in!  If you have other ideas, please feel free to message me or leave a comment below.
