Honestly, no idea, I'm assuming he healed quicker cuz he finally ate "properly", even if it was another ghoul. And, even if it's artificial, the benefits of being a one eyed ghoul (like being stronger). again, Idk, never got to the next season w/o ya'll

The reason why Kaneki heals so much faster is explained later on in the manga. Not sure if this is the case for anime

I never watched anything past season 1 of Tokyo ghoul because I was a manga reader and I don't like the change in direction they made this episode. But maybe it will lead to something good instead. I'll watch with you guys regardless.

Yup, (Spoilers for manga) In the manga Kaneki breaks every bone in Ayato's body because he hurt Touka and then he sort of becomes a morally grey 3rd party anti-hero of sorts trying to figure out all this ghoul shit while also trying to keep Anteiku out of harm's way. I figure the anime studio thought it would be easier for people to understand Kaneki's motives (keeping his friends safe) as an undercover in Aogiri instead.

seems like I'm th eonly non english person that doesnt like english dub for Code Geass x) Since english is not my main language, it always sounds weird to hear english over "non american" productions. Like cyberpunk was great in english but for japanese anime idk I dont find it that good lol it sounds cheap or fake to me (sry no offense ofc)

Except for Cyberpunk, I've never seen an anime that I find better in dubbed version ( whatever the language). Not necessarily because the dub is bad, but because the Japanese VAs are just that good. And it fits better because the shows are made with Japanese voices in mind. Good/Very good ? Yes. Better ? Nah.

(Spoiler corrections to your manga spoilers) I'm pretty sure that's not what happens since it's the sickest moment I've read I have it in me. Kaneki says because he's Touka's only brother he won't kill him, but he beat up Touka so bad so he just half kills him - breaks HALF the bones in his body. Then the scene fades black as he's counting to 106.

This Opening isn't just a letdown compared to Unravel. That's literally a weak Opening compared to Openings in general, at least from the instrumental/vocal side. But on the other hand, the ED for this season is good. And we get other good OSTs, just like the one at the end when Kaneki announced he's joining Aogiri. Or there's another one you'll listen later "Glassy Sky" - a masterpiece.

Exactly my thoughts. Maybe because I'm from a european, non english country but though i basically do everything in english (work, games, music, movies, videos, internet, etc) if it's not an american/english production, I will always find the english dub """bad""" or not natural at all. When they watched Pain's speech in english I was like "bro went to incredibly badass to random american talking"

When jason got tortured he unclock an second personality to protect himself and kaneki did the same. We saw it when he got tortured by Rize in ep 12. His resolve to be the person he his now and what tried so hard not be was possible by his desire to protect the ones his love. He can't comeback to teh shop for this particular reason but the season will be about what Kaneki is ready to do to protect his friends.

Kaneki has always been that strong, he was holding back. The torture removed his self imposed barrier of wanting to stay a human pacifist. Then he finally accepted his strength with his quote "I am a ghoul". (He did get a bit stronger though, I won't say why.)

It is. The theory is based on two things: one is a bootleg scan of the manga that looks different than the original. The other is the misconception that Yamori was gay with Nico. Yamori was actually very homophobic. His relationship with Nico was nothing more than the relationship of a sadistic psychopath that loves to inflict pain and a complete masochist.

Kaneki’s healing abilities are just because he is special, it’s not necessarily rize’s abilities, the only thing Reze is at this point is basically a fragment of kaneki’s consious. But kaneki can now take insane amounts of pain because of the torture like when he breaks his leg on purpose etc.

bro ?????????? DBZ in english ? FMAB?? Lmao idk if it's because I come from a francophonic country but to me english dbz and english dub is close to the worst dub I've heard. Tho I like english as a language it's just not it for any anime that doesn't take after american culture (cyberpunk for exemple is great in english but would still 100% slaps in japanese). I've actually never seen anyone say they prefer dragon ball z in english... at least before today haha idk this was a general preference over there (america). To me, animes best voice actors are: 1- japanese 2- French but carried by their insane voice actors talent. France has to me the world's best voice actor in cinema so it doesnt "fit" anime format either but it's still quite good because they're that talented 3- English if only it's set in an english speaking country or take after their culture

DBZ is the worst dub you've heard? Dude Goku's japanese voice is literally an old woman. I can't even watch the Japanese version it's so horrible. Plus, with the dub, you get the Bruce Faulconer score, which shits all over the Japanese versions score.

well allow me to disagree lol. I dont like english goku AT ALL and yeah I love the iconic and great original Goku voice. I talk about dub not score so yeah english dbz is one of the worst dub TO ME. Overall any anime english dub to me is just not at the level of I've heard in other languages especially japanese. You are from an english country so maybe you're just used to it since english is you main language but when it's not, you here the difference instantly. I h ave NEVER see anyone that doesnt speak english as a main language say that they prefer to watch any anime in english over japanese lmao

I don't think it's because I speak English at all because I mostly prefer sub anime. Like Tokyo Ghoul for example, I think the English dub is horrible. I can't watch it. I have no natural inherent bias for either language.

The dialog in the manga is even MORE badass, he says since hes her brother he won't hill her, but promises to "half kill" him. Then theres and ENTIRE page of Kaneki debating with himself what that term means, he thinks about cutting him in half, removing half his organs, ect but all those options would kill Ayato. He then settles of BREAKING HALF OF EVERY BONE IN AYATO'S BODY, AND SUCCEEDS BEDORE AYATO IS RESCUED!!

oh my god i am so stoked for code geass after akame, i didnt even know this info and yall are 13 eps into akame already, u guys should like casually mention this in ur next naruto episode or something, or actually maybe right after u finish akame, just like mention code geass being next as a post announcement or something, i feel there'd be quite a few people who'd upgrade their tiers to see that.
