I think Kakashi is a great example of level vs technique. He doesnt have an enormous amount of chakra but he has really good techniques and makes him strong enough to fight really strong enemies.

Just remembered, Grey's true form was actually shown in episode 11 but it gets missed because you dont know that's Grey's true form until now. (unless you're rewatching the series xD)

Ron, you’re right on the Magic Power thing, in my opinion. Someone can have more magic power than another person but it doesn’t always guarantee they are stronger in actual combat

Naw Ron , when the gap in magic level is too wide . It does mean “ omg , he can kill anyone easily” now when it’s closer then you can consider skill. And the show is inconsistent with asta. He doesn’t have magic then he has anti-magic and a grimoire. I always sorta thought his magic was anti-magic idk

I love this arc because it challenges Asta as a character. Vetto just explained his weaknesses despite having anti-magic, it challenges his view of never giving up and persevering, and it challenged the Black Bulls as a whole with their friendship and bonds thing. It really exhibited the true spirit or surpassing their limits.

Isn't that with any power??? but Magic capacity and levels are the INITIAL measure of strength in this anime so its how one detects that and perceives initial strength but then real total strength is a totality of skill/technique/wisdom/knowledge and power which in the end gauges ones real strength. It's never end all be all just because of the capacity/level of magic power/mana, its just a starting point for measurement.

If you go back and watch one of the earlier episodes when they went to town to shop. You can see Grey enter a store in Her True Form wearing her black clover sash. I was wondering if yall would catch a random in Black Clover uniform. I think one of you may of noticed for a second but thought you were seeing things. Because you never commented on the random person. 😂 But it was Grey.

You right people can be strong without a super crazy amount of magic power or chakra, cursed energy or whatever. But the people without a crazy amount usually have a lower peak and starting baseline than those with a with. For example rock Lee will never be as strong as Naruto and most sorcerers will never be as strong as Yuta or Gojo. So it makes sense for it to be so intimidating especially with someone seasoned in combat

I think it was mentioned to Killua by Morel not to count yourself out when determining your opponents nen and abilities. It’s all about experience and strategy that wins the battle. Something towards that verbiage. Netero mentioned Pitou was stronger than himself and we all know how that worked out for him. So yeah, I think mana levels don’t automatically win you the match.
