If you are going to read the manga i suggest starting from the end of season 1. If you aren't going to read the manga then I recommend finishing the series just because you have already started it.

I think the worst season (comprehension speaking) was by far s2. s3 is confused even for manga readers, so don't worry if you do not understand anything at first.

I honestly think you should move onto a new anime after this season. Season 3 and on is like watching a whole new anime, trying to find out what is happening the whole time and not finding that out till way later on. The only saving grace to the seasons is the action which we all knew was good anyways, so that isn’t really a plus. A lot of people keep comparing it to the manga for why it is bad, but I didn’t read the manga and just think it is bad overall. Even though I consider this my favorite anime just based on S1 and S2 only because of the character development of kaneki and the theme of getting stronger no matter what it costs to help yourself and those you love. Well, this is just my opinion on it. It was tough watching the rest of the seasons personally, but I’ll still watch it with you guys if you decide to continue because I’ll be laughing while seeing your confused faces. Haha

I did not enjoy Tokyo Ghoul RE. Most of the season is all over the place and confusing. It was kind of boring. Missing so much vital info. This would be a good place to stop after this season.

your too deep already😂😂 lucky for you guys, i dont think its an issue where you need to make a decision, its not like your commiting to a 400 ep anime, and it is still good, you just might get confused a couple of ep in s3, luckily this are 12 anime ep, so dont tense up 😂😂😂i would recommend watching s3 though for anyone who is this deep since there are some plot developments for characters you like and would be missing. then make a decision if you still want to.

S2, 3, and 4 are a mess for all completely different reasons. 2 completely deviates from the Manga, but the action in the last eps is pretty decent. S3 goes back to Canon, and that's why people say you will be confused. The animation isn't great and they cut out a decent amount of stuff but the story is still good imo. S4 is just a shit pile, where they completely change some of the best parts of the manga and the animation still sucks. Tough call tbh

Since season 2 is very hard to understand the First time watching it, it makes Sense, that ur experience is different from Others. The hints are very hard to See so the "woow" Feeling from underatanding Plot Twists doesnt Happen, since a Lot of them have been missed (Not to blame anyone, since, as i Said before, its very hard to Tell Connections and Other Things only by f.e. Hair color or Body language) when watching it for the second time after already knowing a Lot of Things, those Hints are a Lot easier to Spot. Similar to AOT seaons 1 f.e.

I'm going to be brutally honest when I say this, and this is from someone who liked, not loved, the rest of the anime. You two clearly had the vision of this anime tainted in a really bad light before even watching the first episode. Feels unfair that you two couldn't just react to the anime by yourselves and come with your own conclusion. Knowing the behind the scenes of what will be carried over from the manga to anime is a bad move, when you haven't even watched the anime yet.

You guys should definetly watch S3🙏 It starts a bit confusing but thats not even the Anime‘s fault the Manga also starts that way. It gets explained fairly quickly and just by the events that happen in s3 its the best season by far imo. (Even Anime)

Yeah, the people complaining about it make it bigger of a thing than it actually is. It's sad seeing Ron & Michelle already getting influenced by those stupid comments and considering dropping on S3. They seem to be enjoying the season so far, despite all the comments saying it's bad. So idk. why would they still listen to the negative comments. S3 is totally understandable, even after watching anime-original S2. As someone else said even in the manga, the story kinda cuts and starts in a kinda confusing point. But both manga and S3, eventually explain things in flashbacks etc.

From my Point of View, it's the best season. S1's glory literally rides on the last episode. S2 has just much better soundtrack, character development, directing. S3 gets a little confusing, but so does it in the manga.

If you watch season 3 and actually finish the show, pretty much all of your questions will get answered. Yes it gets hard to follow especially since you guys watch like 1 episode at a time with breaks in between, but seriously you should just stick it out and finish it especially since you will likely never read the manga, at LEAST finish the anime and get the ending of the story

It is very sad to see you guys being influenced by the negative comments when there are just about if not even more positive reviews for you guys to continue the season and make your own decisions and conclusions without the negative comments influencing you. It was hard to watch this episode because you kept on mentioning that you might not watch the next season when you are already this deep and many of us are deeply invested with you to finish the anime. We all admit that S3 starts confusing but that is because they go back to following the manga, plus it answer all of your remaining questions about the characters and the anime itself and trust me it gets better. I know I and many others who will be disappointed if you just stop right in the middle of anime without finishing. Please please please stop letting the negativity have any say in your decision please make up your minds from watching the anime yourself and not from what others say.
