Bummer about listener stories, but I totally understand! You should consider an episode (or a partial) for the Hyundai + Kia TikTok Thefts that happened last year. Personally, my vehicle was stolen TWICE from the same lot within 4 months. Mere weeks before my wedding so that was a lot to deal with. Oh, and they never caught the people responsible. Even after my car was found the second time there was no justice served. Luckily the nationwide settlement process has started and looks like there will be more decisions made in May of this year.

Excellent. ACC, I feel for you and the malaise that can set in after great accomplishments. Your research is second to none, your truth telling is bold and unflappable, and continually topping your prior achievements is an impossible goal that will burn you out - we wouldn't want that! 2024-12-21 05:54:41 hey, acc! every podcast can be a sleep aid. many ppl fall asleep to pods, radio, tv, etc, ya know? doesn't mean they don't go back and listen to what they missed or have already heard the ep. im a big fan of radio, since i was a little kid. but if i missed a broadcast, it was likely lost to me forever. pods are the best not only bc the content is great but bc they're available to listen on demand. that's really special to me. btw, i could never snooze to swindled. in spite of ur soothing voice, your content is just too interesting/enlightened/enlightening/enraging 😁

I mean it an a compliment that your voice soothes me to sleep. I listen once to hear the whole story and then can listen at bedtime to go to sleep. No other podcast holds my attention so well ( except for the monkey one that made my hair stand on end)

Honestly this psychic was mostly just giving free advice without any psychic stuff at all until the end. She could have stopped at "join a union" and it would have been only about as shady as a shady Talkspace session 😂 ACC, i have been listening to you for years now and i have to say: I'm really grateful for your podcast. Idk what your personal situation is, obviously, but I've "lost" a bunch of podcasts lately because the podcast industry is so fickle, or because the hosts have succumbed to burnout, life changes, and/or weird trumplandia extremist redpill ideology stuff that's wrecked the hosting dynamic. (!!) Just the fact you have stayed so consistent and committed to your work for so long (and aren't secretly stanning David Icke or something) is a gift, and i appreciate it so much. It's so hard to stay reliable and motivated in this era we're in. You don't ever have to apologize for taking time off, or for cutting back, or for switching gears and trying something new, or for retiring the podcast altogether if that's what you need. The important thing is you're not alone, you have given us all so much (I've learned so much from this show it's unreal), and you have every reason to feel confident and proud of your work and all you've accomplished. Please take things easy if you need to, and know what a valued speaker you are to so many people. And yes please to book club!

You're doing great, ACC. 👍 Even if it's not feeling fresh, it's not sounding stale either. You've got a winning formula for getting these stories out to other concerned citizens. Maybe taking more frequent breaks would help. Or a longer hiatus to refesh and come back stronger. This is not easy subject matter to be carrying around for prolonged periods.

You are the best. You do all the research and you present the stories in an absolutely gripping way, and you don't indulge in uneducated speculation, which is the thing that is sure to make me unfollow a podcast. Your voice is soothing in the respect that you don't hype your stories with shrieks and giggles, yet you're the one who can make me laugh out loud by virtue of a well chosen word, or an intonation that is the verbal equivalent of cocking an eyebrow. I really wasn't expecting anti-capitalist, pro-union psychic but she gave much of the same advice my expensive therapist with multiple legit qualifications has given me in the past. I kind of love her. Like many other VLs, Swindled was my first Patreon subscription because I think you're bringing crucial information to the public and doing a great job at it. I hope you can keep producing the show and I'm happy to keep supporting your work, even if you have to slow your pace, change things up, or take a break to look after yourself.

ACC- I never was interested in podcasts before Swindled and you are still my favorite to this day. What you do compared to most others in the podcast game feels so original because you're not just entertaining people, you are making us aware of the things that influence/threaten our lives and health on a daily basis. While I know hearing from others does not always change the way our mind feels, you have only gotten better at what you do as time goes on. That being said, I can't imagine the toll this work must take on you, and I hope you prioritize yourself and your mental health even if it means you have to end the podcast. I wish you the best and hope you find what brings you clarity and peace, no matter what.

I also would love a book club!! But on a more serious note, I've been a listener since the beginning. Your podcast is one of the first I supported via Patreon, and I have gotten my $$ worth and then some from doing so. I appreciate all the effort you and Deformr put into each episode. Truly, you've created a body of work to be extremely proud of. I routinely listen to older episodes in between seasons, that's how much I enjoy this podcast! It never gets old! Honestly, you have to do whatever is right for yourself regarding the future of the pod. I sincerely hope you can find a way to keep going, but I can absolutely appreciate how it must be an enormous amount of work and dedication to put this fantastic show together. Either way, if you continue on or decide to retire, I'll continue to keep Swindled in my listening rotation! Sending you good vibes!

Book club sounds awesome. I find tremendous value in the podcast, but if you ever need to stop for your mental health or just because you're sick of it - you don't owe it to anyone to keep going.
