Davros and the daleks are cool with destroying everything that isn't dalek because that's literally their only motivation. They don't need or want slaves, or to rule over people. They can't appreciate anything in the universe that's not dalek, so destroying everything that isn't dalek in one blast is kind of just fast forwarding to their ultimate goal. Also Gwen is played by the same actress who played the psychic maid in S1 E3 the unquiet dead. The explanation is that Gwen is the granddaughter of that maid. There is a deleted scene that takes place at badwolf bay where the original doctor gives the second doctor a "tardis seed" and tells him he can actually grow another

Something I like to think about is how Rose feels about Martha's reaction to her being back with the Dr. One of the fears we saw from Rose is that she would become another unmentioned companion like Sarah-Jane, yet now she sees how much she must have meant to him.
