So, 6.4 has been delayed (again), and may be for another week, depending on how quickly I can find another person or two to help out with Essence.

Some of you may have already heard, but after the big SNAFU on the SV thread, where basically everyone expressed how iffy the last few chapters have seemed to them, my current editor and I talked and decided it might be a good idea to bring in another person or two to give us a fresh look at everything.

That's, uh... Currently ongoing.

I was hoping to get it handled and squared away in a couple of days, mostly because it was back when I first asked in the short story version, where I received an offer of help within...I think it was actually hours of admitting I needed it. Unfortunately, I've received only one offer, and I was hoping for at least three, of which I would pick the two I thought would work best.

Since I don't want to get too deep into the Noelle fight before bringing someone else on, 6.4 remains in limbo, about a third of the way written. If another week goes by without another offer, I'll simply take what I can get and move on.

In the meantime, I'm not going to be totally idle. I'll probably get started on the aftermath of the fight in a tentatively numbered 6.8 and I might start on interlude 6.b, depending, since 6.b is not directly connected to the events of the rest of the arc and is therefore not dependent on the events of the fight itself. If the mood strikes me and my editor is available to smooth things out, I might also finish Pendulum 0.0, which will become very relevant in a chapter or two.

For normal Patrons, you might not see some of this stuff for a couple weeks, but $13+ Patrons, be on the lookout for CiP posts for these. 6.4 and Pendulum 0.0 are already available for that, but 6.? and 6.b might show up in the next few days, depending on my productivity.

Oh, I almost forgot. Would you guys like to get a sneak peek of Project Nietzsche, too? I was thinking of letting you Patrons have a look at what's going on, there, although it really isn't much, right now. Still needs tons of worldbuilding.

I think part of the reason why not so many people are stepping up to try to help with the editing is that you requested they be familiar with canon Worm, and that they have actually read the original serial. Personally, I was going to volunteer but the fact I haven't read the serial in years, and it wasn't even finished at the time, stopped me from putting up the offer. You likely have people who want to help edit but they haven't read worm in a long time (or really even past the brockton bay arcs at all) and fanon has started to replace and muddy canon in their minds. I mean it makes absolute sense you want people to be familiar with the main source material, just giving you context to why probably a good amount of people shied away.
