And the joke is complete.

It's starting to look like 5.7k is going to be the average for chapter sizes going forward, because damn, this thing got bigger than expected again. I was afraid we wouldn't even break 4k at some points, and then we were getting close to 6k and I was worried for nothing.

There were a few parts I was worried about in terms of impact as I was writing this, so I hope they hit you guys exactly how I meant for them to. They did for one of my editors, at least.

I think I've said at other times that Etna was about 2/3 of the way through Septem? Yeah. We're actually getting close to the end now. Maybe five chapters left? Thereabouts.

EDIT: Moving it down.

To be honest I was expecting more Scooby Do references with Jing Ke being there.

Thank you so much for the latest chapter!! What a note to end on, and the fight with Caligula was just amazing!!

Also, hypothetically speaking would Taylor be able to control the magical giant crabs that exist in FGO? I think they first show up in Okeanos if I recall correctly. And would that ever actually come up? It’s been on my mind a lot recently, and this was the first time I gathered up the nerve to ask about it.

Hmm. Thinking about it, maybe the Servant version of Taylor would be more likely to be able to control them. At that point, her ability to control anything with an exoskeleton would be tied to her legend and likely be a Noble Phantasm. Being magical in nature rather than just a product of an ability given by her Shard, it might be more compatible with controlling a Phantasmal Species?

It might not be out of the question. My focus has simply been more on the Servant to Servant combat and the plot of the story than thinking about the canonical magical beasts and how everything interacts around them. I'll have to think about it for Okeanos. Septem is too close to done to introduce them without it feeling hamfisted.
