The Ballad of Captain Kidd

The original ship sailed by Captain William Kidd. The ship with which he began his career, provided to him by his patrons in England, intended for use in hunting pirates and acquiring their treasures. In truth, she was poorly built and made with substandard materials, and as a result, her performance suffered during his voyages.

However, despite her flaws, the Adventure Galley survived almost the entirety of Captain Kidd’s career as a pirate, and only had to be scuttled near the very end. As a result, although her defensive attributes are lowered, her offense remains at full power.

As a ship, she may be used as a constantly-active type Noble Phantasm, crewed by phantoms representing Kidd’s original subordinates. They can only maintain their existence by reinforcing their identity as his crew, and to that end, they often sing the song named after him that details his supposed deeds, no matter how much it angers their captain to listen to it.

The Adventure Galley’s main armament is thirty-four cannons. There is also, however, always at least one wooden bucket located on board, for the purposes of enabling Captain Kidd’s other Noble Phantasm.
