Ah, Dewey's theme. A little Hans Zimmer for the extra tug on the heartstrings. I'm with Denise--never gonna forgive them for killing him. On Stu...it's a very strong theory among franchise fans that he didn't really die in the first one. It not Canon yet--although you can see Mathew Lillard in the background of a party in the second movie. I personally want him to be alive and be an anti-hero in the next/last movie. To me, it felt like Sam is truly unraveling. Ritchie you could justify as self defense, but the knife to Bailey's eye? Sorry, cold blooded murder. I like her character, but I think that the logical conclusion to her story is madness. She's not really dealing--i think the proof in that is all she talks about with her therapists is Tara. They make it easy to dismiss as wanting to avoid her own bad rep and getting accused, but with how easily she falls back on Billy's guidance....If she wasn't Ghostface at the end it was a waste of a perfect setup. But yeah, sad we'll probably never know.

To continue with the horror theme, I would suggest Penny Dreadful (3 seasons) if you like legendary horror monsters, and for a movie, Dorian Gray (2009).

In the previous Scream I believe it's when Ritchie is watching something on YouTube you see a thumbnail on the side with Kirby. I believe it's a clip talking about her being a survivor 🎬

It bothered me how many people survived getting slashed up in this film. In my opinion, Chad should've stayed dead. It felt cheap to have him survive all of that especially when Scream 5 had the guts (pun intended) to kill Dewey. This time they played it a little too safe. WITH THAT SAID, there's so much I love about this one. The NYC setting, crazy set pieces, and the relationship between Sam and Tara. I love how Sam "letting Tara go" in the third act is meant both literally and metaphorically. So much fun, I had a blast re-watching these with you guys! It's a shame what happened with Melissa, I had the opportunity to meet her last year and she's absolutely delightful. It took me a while to warm up to the idea of Sam taking on the lead character mantle, but I think she's earned it. I was also looking forward to seeing what they could do in the future with the darkness she harnesses..

Seriously thought, like, in Dewey's case we would forgive the plot armor, he deserved so much better!! Also yesss, we need Stu back, because just imagining everyone's faces when he shows up in some way would be priceless! Granted, it has to be one helluva excuse as to how on earth he's alive, but we'd love to have him back!!
