To think he gave one of the greatest monologues in an epic show in a language that isn't even his first is absolutely insane. Technically the Nights Watch vows say nothing about remaining celibate, only that they will take no wife, father no children. Some men of the Night's Watch go to Mole's Town and.. purchase the services of women there all the time - everyone looks the other way at that. The Expanse is a show that I think is on GoT level. In fact people call it GoT in outer space. It was originally cancelled because it was too expensive to adapt but Jeff Bezos bought the rights to it because it was his favourite show and it got finished on Amazon Prime. The authors of the books helped with the show. The basic premise is that humans have colonized the solar system and there are growing tensions between earth and mars. There are also “third world” people who live in the asteroid belt and are discriminated against by people on earth and mars. Great writing, best space battles I’ve seen in media, and lots of political scheming like in GoT.

Yeah I like the first 2 season a lot, definitely fell off from there unfortunately. I think they just really lost their way and got waaaay into the weeds of some philosophical and quantum stuff

As much as you guys wanted to see Jon Snow keep his vows, it was important that he showed the Wildings that he was willing to break them in order for them to trust him. This is such a good episode concerning the significance of vows. Besides Jon you have Jamie’s epic story contrasting with Barristan Selmy. Jamie is considered a traitor for an act that potentially saved thousands, while Barristan is one of the most admired knights of Westeros ever though he served two unworthy kings. Jorah was wanting to find out the details of whether Barristan served on the Small Council as the Lord Commander of the King’s Guard, because that would mean he would have likely known that Jorah was spying on Daenerys and her brother for Lord Varys and King Robert.

You may still want to delete it if you can, cannon said the geks usually just scroll through the comments on their phones so all it takes is just randomly stopping right on your comment. Maybe you can reword it next time and say something like "later in the show" instead of spoiling that jaime lasts until at very least the last season.

Lol I love the petty moments between Cersei and Tyrion. I hate Cersei but they are both so funny. Love how it always blows up in Cersei's face. Noticed how Tyrion is the only who says her name correctly. He's the only one who says Cer -Say and not Cer-see. Unpopular opinion but Tywin treats all his kids like crap. Tyrion need to get out his feelings. I'll never feel bad for Jaime he crippled Bran. Doesn't feel too good huh. Jaime is just a dishonorable guy in general. He's been breaking those vows. Because he was the richest and untouchable man in westoros. Others from less take them more seriously. I agree some of vows are dumb but it just shows how they are only human when they break them. I don't think less of them. If Ned was little less honorable we wouldn't be in this mess. Great reaction.

You know if Danerys dragons were born because of the sacrifice while she was in the fire than it could be crazy if 500K people would burn and it was like a sacrifice for the rebirth of dragons. Never thought of it before and it's a complete theory don't think G.R.R Martin has ever gone into that
