I didn't know they were going to watch Dark! That's my all time favorite series. Imo a perfect 10/10 show through and through. Excited to see that! Yall are awesome!

The reason why the quality dropped in Season 2 is because the anime was handed over to J.C. Staff, another studio, who had a lot on their plate with other anime projects and didn't have a lot of staff. Another big reason is time, animators weren't given enough sufficient amount of time due to scheduling which made the studio rush and thus making it difficult to create good animations. Fortunately, they had animators like Kenichiro Aoki, who is very talented and literally carried the season. Some of the best animated scenes were done by him. He also made the season 3 trailer, which imo was very well done. Ultimately, The animators did what they could with the amount of resources they had, and season 2 isn't as bad as some people make it out to be, but it's inevitable since it will always be compared to Season 1.

hmm it seems wherever you're watching from doesn't have the blu-ray versions uploaded, they fixed a lot of the clear animation problems and blurring with the blu-ray release, I'd suggest looking for it somewhere if you can

season 2 isn't as bad as people say it is. In fact there are things i enjoyed in s2 than i did in s1. Just don't expect the same level of animation as s1, but s2 is still a good watch. I'm not head over heels for great animation so maybe that's why i still liked season 2

it did but it was no where near as bad as opm. opm is only good because of its fights. Its kinda funny sometimes but it has no story... so bad animation on top of it, what are you even watching for at this point? Just my opinion

Yeah i wish too, but they don't have to rush for season 3 or anything. I don't think a hard release date is even out which probably means Fall. They got plenty of good shows going on though so I'm not tunnel visioning, just enjoying whatever they got.

@Jack The 2nd DB Super movie (Broly) would be a cool as hell watch. It's my favorite DB series movie with the 3rd (Super Hero) in close second. It's also a fantastic starting point for new fans as the first half of the movie covers the DBZ origins very very well. And yes the DB Super movies are canon, so it's very much worth it!

It doesn't help that the manga is some of the best artwork and choreography ever, quite literally. It's the problem of amazing art trying to be adapted to film, Vagabond and Berserk being some of the most famous examples. Yusuke Murata is an absolutely insane artist and many of OPM's panels are some of the greatest in the business.

Dark is one of those shows where if you stop focusing for one second you might end up lost lmao. Definitely one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
