ofc you guys post this when i’m not at home💀

Jada

I been waiting on this moment since they begin episode 1 season 1

1999

THIS IS NOT A DRILL I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL

Jessica

also fun thing to know is that this episode actually began the popularization/spark of reactions. Book readers would record family/friends reaction to the red wedding and then post on YouTube, and after the episode aired it got on the news and was a huge topic for weeks!! The most jaw dropping moment in tv history.

Neil Patel

Long have we waited for this day, and now our watch is ended.

Jacob Goldsmith

Ye i remember when this happened and the news covered it for like a couple days it was allll over social media

Brady

People really had comments ready to copy and paste here 😭

Frank Miller

bro GoT is cool and all, but it got like 4-5 uploads this week, but its also time for some Geass, we waited to long for a new upload

Harper

The most impactful episode of the entire saga... I want to see what your reaction was

AlucardIV

I’m not watching the reaction until later but I just wanted to congratulate you on finally graduating from sweet summer children to battle hardened men of winter. And this is also for McKay and Jack and all the times they gleefully gave each other the side eye when a character was singing “Rains of Castamere” or it was playing in the back while trying and failing to hide their anticipation. You, sirs, are true representatives of all of us GoT fans; masochistic enough to watch this show and sadistic enough to make our friends watch it too.

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Seeing this on my very first watch was probably the most shocked I've ever been watching a piece of media in my life

nymeria

does mckay practice his sideyes to the camera in front of a mirror why is he so good at it

Rachel See

I’m loving the fact that everyone here is on the same vibe…WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT. This is gonna be diabolical for y’all and we are here for it lol

Jacob Goldsmith

They said they cant record new code cause carters gone for his wedding and honeymoon so most what we getting this week was prerecorded last week and they sais they had to cut one of the 4 shows to make the time and unfortunately since thats the start its gotta be that one. After hes back they gonna drop ham jebrony they said. So for now enjoy to GOT and the boys tbh

Chad-gon Targaryen

I wonder if this scene would hit the same without Talisa there

Neemz

Oh hell yeah finally *grabs popcorn*

Jacob Goldsmith

The comment spam rn is crazy yall i cant keep up

alexis ♡︎

im gonna be in the middle of the ocean in an hour i cannot believe this timing

chaosisaladdahh

Oh fuck its here fuck fuckkkkfucjk

Jessica

It’s always fun watching others react, I remember I was so shocked the silent outro is perfect

Ezra

Jessica

This is the moment everyone is waiting for when people start got

This is bringing back so many memories 😭😭

Jacob Goldsmith

Jessica

I haven’t even started I’m just reading comments

nora

the TENSION during the wedding is insane!!! arguably the most shocking episode in tv history and yall reaction about to make it even better!🔥

Ray

The episode that started the reaction genre on YouTube and the highest rated GoT episode. Summer children no more Winter men now!

brog.

“The lannisters send their regards”

Shadow

No longer sweet summer children. This episode shell shocked me the first time I saw it

Tamara Manley

I've been waiting for this... I can't wait to watch this reaction as soon as I get home from work!!

Darryl John Dodo Tait

Glad to know that you guys see that it was Robb's Fault

Hector

We all agree this episode was traumatizing

Kreis

Now this is where the fun begins

Brig Andrus

The get back will be legendary

Cannon Andrus

This was the most tense episode of my life

a

bro always has a smirk on his face when terrible things happen im dead

Seth Aasland

i hereby proclaim the Geks no longer as sweet summer children, but now as scarred autumn adults

Kreis

You good if you have a puke bag with you at the end💀👍

saida

i’m still watching season 2’s reactions but i am SO TEMPTED to skip ahead to this one because MY SWEET SUMMER CHILDREN ARE NO MORE!!

Chris Sanford

In the books, what Bran did, warging into to Hodor or just any human in general is VERY frowned upon.

k

I mean the abrupt stabbing of talisa while pregnant did a lot to establish the cruelty and brutality of the scene imo. obviously robb and catelyn’s deaths would hit the same but the scene wouldnt be as brutal as it was with talisa’s death

brog.

Cannon had the thousand yard stare 💀brother didn’t say a word for 15min

KwesTFC

mckay could not control his his face 😭

brog.

Masterful episode the unease building up the whole episode climaxing with one of the most shocking scenes ever

Lexi Mae

Carter disassociating during the debrief was me after watching this for the first time 😭💀💀

Shadow

Love recommending this show just to get people’s reactions to this episode💀

Tyler Sick

The way they just sit in silence after the episode has me dying

jay

and now my watch begins.

jay

i need to sleep bc of work 🚶‍♀️‍➡️

Jacob Goldsmith

mckays maniacal smile thru the whole cashmere scene is to much

Ryan Ry

Mccay “Something is big is happening in episode 9”! Everyone else: “I guess something big is happening. Can’t wait for the surprise”. Something big happens. Everyone: “I can’t believe something big happened!” Wish they didn’t allude that something happens in episode 9.

nymeria

TheSauceGuy

Warg's souls can live on something they have warged into. So that Orell's soul is still in his eagle. I think Jojen or someone else mentioned that over very prolonged periods within your animal, you lose more and more of yourself until almost nothing is left. There are a lot of interesting theories about wargs, but I won't get into them lol.

Shadow

Speaking on the Robb’s warg power Cannon was asking for in the books they hint that Robb wargs into his wolf before dying and then gets killed again as wolf. Books got some crazy stuff lol

Anthony Rodriguez

Red Wedding was inspired by a true story in Scotland as the Black Dinner and Glencoe Massacre

Meave

😊😊😊

leah

yippee

Sean

got such a throner rn

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Normally I feel excited seeing your reactions to certain legendary moments, but seeing the complete shock and devastation on your three faces was pretty heartbreaking damn :( Still great to see the reaction, the raw emotions are the best part

LeFlaneur

This episode almost made me want to stop watching the show

Chris Sanford

1. I want to know who the hell spoiled you guys, Robb's death should not have even been on your minds lol. 2. I know McKay has already seen it, but what a cold-hearted bastard sitting their smiling at it. 😭😭😭 joking ofc

Ashley H.N

As emotional as the episode is, I'm glad they got to experience the same trauma as we, the viewers, who have watched it in the past have witnessed it as well.

Dk

We all had our mouths open like yall during that scene

Anna

In the books Robb wargs into Grey Wind as he dies and dies a second time in his body 😭 but Grey Wind wasn’t in the cage in the books, he was taking people out left and right before and after Robb warged into him!!

chaosisaladdahh

Glad all the big plot twists are out of the way should be absolutely smooth from here on out 😂

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Robb broke his oath and died for it but Ned never ever broke his oaths or honor and he also died, so I don't think it would have mattered in Robb's case, he would have been had either way in my opinion.

TheSauceGuy

"The Rains of Castamere is a song which immortalizes the destruction of House Reyne of Castamere by Tywin Lannister during the Reyne-Tarbeck revolt."

Lexi Browning

I feel like this single episode is what started the concept of react channels on youtube. Conan Obrien even showed all the reactions on his show after this first aired

VERTICILE

how does sparking an immediate connection and falling in love with a beautiful woman who literally saves lives not make sense to you? he fell in love with her after she was very vulnerable with him about her life and her past, not "love at first sight". In fact they fell in love over several episodes. I would say that's a better story than say, oh we decided to have sex and after that we just got married out of obligation. the show also made me empathize with Robb and Talisa much more, because anyone could be them. "shallow" is a terrible word to describe that

Chris Daniel

Love that McKay is talking about lady stoneheart. Haha Also, talking about wargs between the books and show shouldn't be done. They are completely different things so you can't really compare them. The the books all the kids have a deeper connection to their own wolves, bordering on being able to skin walk basically.

Caraxes🐐DT

The old king Jaehaerys was viserys grandad…his dad was baelon but he died before he sat the throne.

ElissaFae

I read this first time in the book and threw the book across the room and didn´t return to it for a month. ´:D In the show there was additional hurt because I liked Talisa :´(.

Chris Sanford

Catelyn is ressurrected by Thoros of Myr in the book I want to say, with the Lord of Light and then she becomes the leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners. But because her throat was cut and she was thrown into the river, she can't speak. She's almost like a zombie.

Keiji

Red wedding red wedding Lots of stabbing and a bit of beheading

Roy Koopa

Funny thing is Book Tulisa is a rat.

Dodo

Im so sad and feel sorry for you guys 😭

Achillis

In the books Catelyn get resurrected by Berric Dondarion. But because her throat was slit to the bone she is unable to speak. The resurrection also took place several days after the wedding. So her body was already decomposing and went by the name Lady Stoneheart. A quote about her from the book: "She does not speak, but she remembers".

ElissaFae

And yeah, Starks have this weakness of being naively honorable and expecting the same level of honor from others. Well...

Dillon Palmer

The lads have passed their initiation.

Jessica

I just wanna cry watching the scene where talisa and Robb talk about their baby

Chad-gon Targaryen

Robb learning the #1 rule in ASOIAF History: Don’t be a whore

Chad-gon Targaryen

Her family is a rat - book Talisa (Jeyne) is basically just a young Sansa who actually gets to marry a king

Achillis

Also I would suggest you guys watching an extra video about Talissa (Robb's wife). It is called "Roose Change: The Lannister Honeypot". The video provides some hidden hints that Talissa was originally meant to be a spy for the Lannisters (her character was not in the books), but the screenwriter probably scratched that with season 3. It is just a theory but the video has some convincing arguments for this.

TheSauceGuy

The Red Wedding was inspired by the Black Dinner of 1440 and the Massacre of Glencoe from 1692. GRRM said, "No matter how much I make up, there's stuff in history that's just as bad, or worse."

Robert I Baratheon

When you think 1x9 is bad and then u get this lmao

Anna

Can we also weep at the fact that when Catelyn died she thought all her kids but Sansa were dead 😭

Seth Aasland

i wish nothing but the absolute worst for house frey. this episode will haunt me for the rest of my life bro

Dani

this episode started the whole youtube reaction channels genre.

krystin-02

No longer summer children

jblakk

Fun Fact: When Cercei is talkingto Tywin a few episodes ago its heavily implied that he was writing the plans for the Red Wedding to the freys at that very moment.

Josh Ashford

They were dreading robbs death ever since Stannis threw the leech into the fire and said Robbs name, they thought it was gonna be another demon smoke baby that killed him

Cam

Robb made many mistakes, and this is a world where actions have major consequences. He’s young and ignored advice he got from everyone around him, especially Cat. You guys are officially no longer boys of summer, you are now men of winter. Welcome!

Jessica

I’m sorry I should not be laughing but the silence after

Jessica

Her scream haunts me to this day man it’s still such a hard scene to watch 💔💔

leah

honestly surprised no one cried LOL i was sobbing when i watched this episode for the first time bro MY KINGGG 😭😭😭

Jada

I thought I was the only one I was cracking up then mckays grin was the cherry on top

Anna

In the books this all happens from Cat’s perspective, the chapter ends with them grabbing her hair and her last thought is hoping they don’t cut it because Ned always loved her hair 😭😭😭

I Am Gojo

whats sad too is arya's worse fear ended up coming true

Enma

To me, the most tragic death is Catelyn. - Her husband was beheaded and branded a traitor. - She watched her eldest son get betrayed and slain alongside his wife, unborn child, and the rest of their soldiers. - She never got to reconcile with Jon. - Her daughters were turned into hostages in King's Landing, and thinks Arya is most likely dead. - Finally, she believed her two youngest sons died at home, waiting for her return.

Anna

I am salty about this btw because Grey Wind deserved to go out like a goat

Hannah

This episode gives me ptsd got me sobbing again😢

Shadow

Starks and Boltons have a long history in the north. Boltons are like super dark(Lannisters and worse of the north). There has been rebellions from them before.

Anna

The stare into space and then Jack patting him on the back is such a mood

Jada

The books was and will always be way worst than the show when it comes to the death scene. I was bawling reading cat's death, her going insane was crazy to me. Clawing at your own face; blood dripping down your hands. George is a strange lad, but a bloody great writer.

Kaibur

i legit watched this episode for the first time two weeks ago and it just crushed my soul bro i was so bummed for the next few days and paused watching for a whole week. absolutely speechless episode, the music, build up and the plot points connecting are just ridiculous and it was so unpredictable. just started at the wall for 30 minutes while the end credits rains of castamere music played..

Jessica

Same my heart was pounding through the scene and then after when it’s all silent I just started laughing

Kim555

2nd watch and I feel like puking

Jada

I knew so many people who stopped after this episode but picked it back up in season five when the show grew massive worldwide

Melizé

Talisa getting stabbed in the belly will haunt me forever. I had never seen something so cruel. This episode left me speechless. I know its been days since you guys watched this but sending you all big hugs ❤️

Blackeyedlily

Whoever in the group reads the comments, I hope you share that Martin based the Red Wedding on two historical events that happened in Scotland where massacres took place at a feast or a celebration. One was called the Black Dinner and the other was the Massacre of Glencoe. But as with most aspects of history, there are a certain amount of questions about what actually happened and if it was truly as horrific as reported. Also, since you guys were discussing the differences between what happens to Catelyn in the books, the girl Robb marries in the books is quite different from Talisa. For one thing she is not from another land. She is the daughter of a minor Lord of a House that Robb’s army captured and where he was wounded. She nurses him while he is recovering. The entire thing is much more involved in the political intrigue of the story. And she doesn’t attend the wedding with Robb. So she’s still alive in the books and there are lots of theories about what her role in the story is going to mean going forward.

Brady

Damn for most of this season I thought the ‘Red Wedding’ I’ve heard about over the years was going to be referring to Joffrey and Margaery’s wedding, but nope…

Anna

Seriously so traumatic. GRRM said he wrote basically the whole book and then came back to write that chapter last bc he was dreading it so bad if I remember correctly

kivu_king

W WALDER FREY

Anna

Seriously!!! It’s a doozy and never gets easier to watch imo

Slussh

The Red Wedding has become such an iconic scene in all of the movie/tv history that I wouldn't even be surprised if some of them pretended they didn't know what was coming

Achillis

However, the video originally was packed with the function, called "annotations" which Youtube apparently got rid of in 2019 or so. So these annotations got deleted. So maybe it is not worth a watch

AlecSinWonderland

“You lost the war the day you married her” fact!

Kaibur

the emotions were just flipped so fucking hard. tbh i didnt really think too much about the wedding going wrong, to me the scene was super wholesome and when they name the kid eddard it just made me so sad in a happy way knowing that the goat got some more respect on his name and the fact that robs wife would do that for him. all that just to see her get butchered 5 seconds later is crazy. biggest whiplash in cinema history

JJ

Rare walder Frey W

jason 𒉭

robb lost the war when he married talisa, but he signed his death warrant when he beheaded karstark. i’m convinced george rr martin hates the starks atp.

Darrell Henry

On the bright side you’re no longer sweet summer children.

Afra

The King who lost the north 🐺😔

Amy_D

I’m not sure if you remember but in episode 7 after saving Brienne Jamie says to Roose “Tell Robb stark I’m sorry I couldn’t make his uncles wedding…the lannisters send their regards”

Manro

brown green blue

Hannah

Not sure if anyone has said it yet but the Rains of Castemere song that played during the slaughter was written after Tywin destroyed House Reyne, the story Cersei told Margaery last episode

Anthony Rodriguez

the guy who was playing drums is the actual drummer from Coldplay Will Champion

Darrell Henry

The biggest mistakes Robb made were sending Theon back to his dad. Balon probably attacks anyway but only Theon would have thought of the plan to take Winterfell. Marrying Talisa was a big fumble and he should have traded Jamie for Sansa and then married Sansa off to someone with big army. Robb’s story proves that being a general and winning battles isn’t enough you have to know how to play the game politically.

Hannah

Also in the books it was implied that all the Stark children could Warg Robs last words in the books were “Mother…Grey Wind” it was implied that Robb warged into grey wind when he was killed and then he died again not to mention Grey Wind howling before the slaughter started

Raven Sub

This episode started the trend of reacting to shows and catapulted the show into mainstream popularity. Here's the book author promoting it with reactions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azr99OfKLxk

Chuck Norris

wasnt it 1x9 that did that? either way this is the episode that made it become what it is

C2-H5-OH

THE SILENCE AT THE END OF THE EPISODE!!!!!

ShadowCat

I couldn't help but laugh at the stunned silence after the episode ended. Not of any amusement of what happened, but just the fact it's been years but you all had the same exact reaction I think all of us had watching this live. I must have sat in stunned silence for 20 minutes after, just trying to process what happened. Such a heartbreaking episode. 💔

Kat

LMAOOOO

danidelight

I've rewatched the series like 4-5 times but I've always skipped this scene, so this is my 2nd time watching every minute of the whole thing and it hurts to watch. The way Cat was screaming for Robb to get up and leave, desperately trying to save her son. Really great acting. To what McKay said, yes in the books Cat was revived by Beric Dondarrion as Lady Stoneheart, but she is not really alive nor dead. She has one driving force as Lady Stoneheart and that is to kill every Freys and Boltons. The book has a lot more magic involved whereas they toned it down in the TV show. It's speculated in the books that Robb died twice, once he was killed his spirit went into his wolf, which then was killed again.

Heyangel

The utter silence 😂

Afra

Rains of castamere is so traumatizing it’s still haunting me

Tyler Sick

Yep people were recording their friends and families with iPhones and sending the videos to late night shows. And now we have whole channels dedicated to reacting to tv series.

Jack S

Vladimyr Blue

This episode is the one that made me commit to the show.

Jack S

Jayne loved Robb and her brother died trying to free his wolf. It was her mother and father who were working for Tywin. Jamie owns Sibel Spicer's bitch ass in Feast.

CareMoore33

Maybe don't read until you've watched Ep. 10...I didn't see another comment about it but when you guys asked why Robb didn't have a bunch of guards with him was because the hall was too small but also because the Frey's offered them all guest right which is super important in the world of GoT. At the beginning of the episode Walder shared bread and salt with the Starks which offered them all guest protection so that, along with the fact that they were supposed to be creating an alliance through marriage, is why the Starks thought everything would be fine. It will be explored more in Ep. 10 but lots of people overlook the bread/salt scene on their first watch.

Zechree

During that scene McKay did the funniest side eye to the camera

Zechree

Attack attack😭💔Rip Talisa Robb and Catelyn. I’ve been so hyped for this reaction but I’m not ready to watch this again

Jack S

Its Catelyns fault for making such a retarded match. The Freys as vassels of the Tullys owed their Allegience to her father but she convinces her 15 year old son she is the best one to negotiate with Walder even though the blackfish is their. Then she goes and promises 2 stark children to the Freys when all she had to do was say "open your gates or we will besiege you from the north and my father from the south."

JAY

Also if you like the band The National they recorded a version of the Rains of Castamere for the show. I think it is the credit song for battle of blackwater episode.

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

There's a conversation in season 1 episode 9 where they advise Robb that trying to besiege or take the Twins would take too long

Luna lanes

You can’t be serious. Robb is THE KING. The important decisions should come from him and he chose to send Theon to the greyjoy and to marry a random girl over an important political alliance mariage. How a king who need allies in a war chose to refuse a wedding with a big house for a random girl ? It’s basic strategy. He didn’t know how to play the game of thrones at all

Jake

Man Jack and mckays 👀 this episode 😂 The fucking silence at the end… same honestly

Jack S

That's the weakest excuse ever it doesn't even make sense. They are owed allegiance, there is no negotiation to be had. It would be treason for Frey not to obey. That's like saying the Tyrells would have had to marry Margery off to Randel Tarleys son to pass the Reach to meet Renly. Its insane. The Freys are vassals of the Tullys like the Tarleys are vassels of the Tyrells. The little fish do not dictate to the big fish like the Lords do not dictate to the Liege Lord, especially in wartime.

raye

it’s litch THEE episode before the craziness continues

Luna lanes

Exactly 👍 He was good on battlefield but the real game is the political game of thrones

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Well yes, just based on what you said before, whether weak or not, that is the show's reason for the promise of betrothal rather than fighting.

Ezra

In case anyone hasn't already mentioned it, this scene is actually what gave birth to the entire "reaction" genre of Youtube content.

Cagnazzo

I remember watching this episode when it aired. I literally felt cold and empty afterwards. Imagine waiting for a week after this happened? So many people online were talking about quitting the show.

Cagnazzo

Yep, specifically because book readers knew it was coming and videoed their friends' reactions.

Chuck Norris

Carter at the end looks like he's questioning everything in his life that led him to watching this episode

JAY

Plus the fact that the showrunners chose not to have a credit song for this episode to really enhance that silence 💀

Thicc Thanos

I was wondering why Brihg was so quiet but didn’t realize he has the flu!

Mei Nano

I stop watching GOT after this episode, because it was too much I completely shut down, now I am going to watch every episode with you guys....

lily

gotta love mckays reactions him and jack are stronger than the marines for not spoiling it 😭

Mitch

This is why got is so great and what separates it from just about any other show, CONSEQUENCES. Every action a character takes has consequences whether good or bad and every action a character takes serves a purpose in the story. One simple mistake from Ned got his head removed. A couple mistakes from Robb got his head entire family slaughtered. Truly brilliant writing

Shpitz

I would never forget reading that scene in the book, there was no build up, just George R. R. Martin going on about food like he always does.. Then suddenly Cat notices Roose has his armor on and immediately all hell breaks loose. Such a surreal experience.

Jack S

Grey wind losing his shit on the bridge and savaging some freys was pretty cool build up. But your right, it chilled out after they eat the bread and salt and you think things are going to be cool.

Madison

It gets me every time... so many tears

Jack S

Fair enough. My point is its more Cats fault for making the marriage pact then it is Robbs for breaking it.

Manny

the way I acc threw up after i watched this for the first time LMAO

AlucardIV

It was almost cute how worried they were about Robb getting killed only for almost everyone to die. My advice is first think of the worst scenario and then multiply it by 100. And not to pile on Robb, but his biggest mistake wasn't even marrying Talisa/ not marrying the Frey girl. It was sending Theon to negotiate with his father despite Catelyn's warning. Not only did he lose the North, he lost his heirs. The minute Bran and Rickon 'died' , Sansa became the single most important pawn in this war. She was the key to the North and Tywin Lannister was in possession of that key. So Robb needed to not only be defeated but also killed. And Robb being the nice guy that he is also provided Tywin with opportunities to make new allies by breaking his promise to someone as deceiving as Lord Frey and giving power to someone as opportunistic as Lord Bolton. (Plus in the books Robb marries Jayne Westerling because he deflowered her when she was nursing him after he had fallen ill and he felt it was the honourable thing to do. The Westerlings are bannermen to the Lannisters mind you so yeah, Robb's an idiot.)

Madjoe

I really like the analogy of Ned dying because he was too honorable and Robb dying because he broke his oath and therefore wasnt honorable.

Nope

I remember when I watched this episode I did not move an inch for a good 5m after that and I went to sleep completely shocked

Jessica

And also Robb is just a kid in the books 😭 14 and then dead at 16 But yes releasing Theon was that one thing that started everything, domino effect after that

Jada

Yup that's exactly what happen I remember he said that in an interview years ago

Ana

I just had my sister watch the show she's finished. But why we both said the starks have problems because they are pretty . And people just be hating for no reason. Jon for example they literally hate on him cuz he was pretty😂

Ana

Robb's biggest mistake was never listening to Catelynn. Everything she told him he did the opposite. Which led to the death of him and so many others. RIP my second fav stark this is the death that hurts the most for me. Rip Catelynn you was a real one. RIP Talisa and Baby stark. RIP Greywind

Bhen

Everyone suffering and McKay out here thriving lmao

bateman bookworm

cat is such an underrated character i love her! her death in the book is devastating and lady stoneheart was one of my fav parts but i understand why they decided to take it out. The books overall have more magic in them

A_Daddy Daichi

The silence… I couldn’t help but laugh cause I’m all cried out lol Catelyn seeing her first child die… ugh I can’t. On top of not seeing your other children lost in the world. It’s too much. Rob really should have adhered to his mom’s warnings. She was basically his mini hand of the king and he didn’t listen 😭

mk

"Fool's blood, king's blood, blood on the maiden's thigh, but chains for the guests and chains for the bridegroom, aye aye aye" The books are great because of the detail and foreshadowing. During the Arya chapter, she sees bowmen waxing the strings of their bows, the Trident "roars like a lion" (in reference to the Lannisters) and Walder Frey says "the red will flow". The music is loud and bad (to drown out the screams and because half the musicians are bowmen etc.) And yeah, all the Starks are wargs in the books. Robb's last words in the books are "Grey Wind (name of his direwolf), mother...", which makes people theorize that he dies twice - once as himself and once as Grey Wind

briboeee

For me it was the beginning of the next episode. Seeing them do Robb like made me physically nauseous.

I❤️movies&tvshows

In the books only, Robb’s will legitimatizes Jon and makes him heir to Winterfell. Robb thought Bran and Rickon were dead. So wish the show would have gone that route. Other reactors take 2-4 weeks off after this episode. So glad you guys are just going to get lunch instead and then get back to watch 10. This is the first gruesome scene Carter didn’t cover his eyes. Truly not a summer child anymore. “Winter is coming” are the Stark words. The North Remembers. There are still 5 Stark children living. Jon’s last name may be Snow but as Ned told him “you may not have my name but you do have my blood.” What is so great about this show is that every season is completely different than the previous season. There is no getting bored or having predictable seasons. It keeps you guessing. And It only gets better from here. Season 4 and 6 are a lot of people’s favorites. We all know about season 8 but you have minimum of at least 30 more great episodes to look forward to. Really loved the genuine reaction. ❤️ It’s very entertaining to see McKay and Jack trying to contain themselves. That’s something other reaction channels don’t have. A mix of people who have already seen it and newbies.

Dakota

Just an absolutely insane episode. The shock and utter disbelief on the guys' faces is exactly how everyone feels when they watch that for the first time. Every time you guys mentioned Robb being one of your favorite characters, I had to feel for you for what was to come. I hate it cuz he was one of my favorites as well.

Ryan Ry

Wish you didn’t spoil the episode for the rest of the lads. I would expect it from the comments but not coming from you. Even Jack never mentioned anything coming up. Did you start hyping up Season 4 episode x then? Because if you hyped up ep 9, then 4-x should be hyped up as well right, it’s only a few episodes away.

Kite

Once again, Honor is dead

Kite

episode 9 season 3? you were already committed brother

mk

justice for wendel manderly

AlucardIV

I bet after this episode they're happy that Pedro hasn't shown up yet.

A_Daddy Daichi

McKay, you really had them watch this episode first to start the day??? 😭

Schnuffel

the first time i saw this episode it made me so sick to the stomach, like my god

Jack S

Oh my god dude Catelyn is the bad guy of the entire story. She directly disobeys Ned when she kidnaps Tyrion and starts the war after Ned tells her not to do anything rash because they were not prepared for war. She frees Jamie which is treason. She Promises the Freys 2 stark children when the Freys deserve nothing and owe the their allegiance to the Tully's of Riverrun. All she had to do was demand Walder open his gates, she is so dumb and legitimately evil. The Downfall of house Stark is all her fault.

PST3

Starks down 0-3 in the playoffs this season

Vladimyr Blue

I was always behind a week or two and would play catch up. But after the Red Wedding I was watching it weekly.

victoria t

WELCOME TO THE RED WEDDING I love how you can tell who has seen it before and who is newly horrified 😂

Jaqen H'ghar

I can't tell if they hate the episode or they're just going through the five stages of grief. LOL

Hailey “Beloved” Robeson

to quote someone else's comment "Speaking on the Robb’s warg power Cannon was asking for in the books they hint that Robb wargs into his wolf before dying and then gets killed again as wolf. Books got some crazy stuff lol"

Ana

Awwww I feel bad for y'all. I feel so bad for Cat she left the world thinking all her children were dead except Sansa. Her actress is amazing that scream of agony. Sends chills everytime

Ana

Nah I feel like him marrying for love and not because of saving some honor was a better reason to die.

Ana

Cannon is so right with the love part Love is the death of duty - Maestor Aemon

T.Yaseen

Yeah so i hate everything and everyone,im fking done...there is no way thats how Robb and Catelyn story ends,i feel sick..ill,all sort of things,speachless...wow,this ending finished me and my day is ruined..

Shay Kumar

Also mirrors Ned, who also chose love (his daughters) over duty (holding Stannis' claim to be true).

J J

Cat’s scream haunts me

Dani

ok but when’s 10?

Sam

I guess since McKay already told them, yes Catelyn comes back to life in the books. During one of Arya's "dreams" she is walking through the Riverlands through the eyes of her wolf Nymeria (who has been missing since the beginning), and happens to stumble upon her mother's corpse floating down the river. Nymeria/Arya drags her out, but then runs away as men were approaching. Those men were the Brotherhood without Banners. Their leader Beric Dondarrion (the guy who has come back 6 times) sees Cat's corpse and somehow resurrects her, but she is a vengeful shell of her former self. Her skin is still white and decayed, she is mute because of how deep her throat got slit, and her eyes have bloody scratch marks around them (in the books, Cat goes mad at the sight of Robb dying and claws her eyes before she too is killed). She now leads the Brotherhood under the name Lady Stoneheart, and terrorizes the Riverlands seeking revenge on every Frey, Lannister, and Bolton, or anyone that was remotely involved in the Red Wedding. She's pretty much a walking zombie who can't talk and is hellbent on revenge. She doesn't have too many chapters since her introduction, but she must have an extremely important role to play in the story since the Lord of Light brought Beric back 6 times essentially just to resurrect Cat. The lack of Lady Stoneheart in the series remains of the biggest omissions from the books.

Ana

Lmaooo he's me with my sister. I be crying laughing when this stuff come up and her reactions 😂😂 she cries and runs out the room 😂😂

Achillis

I think she will give someone special the "Kiss of Life"

jblakk

Not only is it one of the biggest ommisions its personally the only plot point in the books that I cant imagine how theyll resolve. Im one of the people who think the shows ending would/will be similar to the books sendings just with the book filling in the gaps pacing wise. However, Lady stoneheart I have no clue what she will end up doing lol. Theres a few characters who do things that I could see her doing in their place in the books, but idk. I never liked that decision to introduce her on GRRMs part.

Ana

I've read the books and I always think that was dumb af. Yeah marry and put your whole family's life in danger to protect honor ?? Nah that's some real stupid ish. At least in the show he actually more of a reason. I can be like it was still dumb but atleast he found love. In the books I'm just smh and how dumb he is. And can't care as much when he dies

T.Yaseen

I can't argue that Robb brought it on himself with the actions he took, still what a tragic way to go out, game of thrones is just brutal...

Sam

Poor Cat had her husband murdered and wrongfully branded a traitor to the realm, her father die from sickness, her home raided by Iron born and burned down possibly along with Bran and Rickon (as far as she was aware), AND not truly knowing if her daughters were safe in King's Landing. I know most people don't enjoy her character, but you have to admit that she's probably had one of the worst times in the show out of any character... aside from maybe Theon lol

Riley

Vanessa Sanchez

Omg!! Been waiting for this episode with you guys!!! 🫣🤯😅😫😫😫

Ashley H.N

As they should😂 so they would know and feel the trauma we viewers felt back then.

Ashley H.N

It really did. My 1st ever watching reaction videos on YouTube started with Game of Thrones.

k

u do way too much over this show bruh… have u ever tried consuming media normally?

nymeria

why i fast forward the debrief three times and carter was still in the same pose

Kare

Stop rn😭 I didn’t need to know this years later

Kare

My guy started his first stage of grief

Ana

Triiiiiiigggggggerrrred. Get over yourself bruh. It's my opinion. You always have the worst takes. Big L takes. You noticed how people never agree with and you always have to change your pic and name?? Because you're a loser. Go choke on George's' dick since you always sucking on it 😂😂

Jed

I mean they are only down a father, mother, and eldest son. It cant get any worse right? Stark getback?

jason 𒉭

💀💀💀 yeah calling someone a neanderthal over an opinion on a show is crazyyyy, it’s never that deep.

Sanji

McKay with his shit-eating grin whenever something bad is about to happen to the MCs 😭

S Moonchild

You have to understand that Robb marrying Talisa is not the reason of Frey's betrayal, but more of a made up reason. Freys never liked Starks and Tullys. Walder Frey says that Catelyn's father always looked down on them and all the other bigger houses as well. With Robb (as they understand all Starks besides Sansa are dead, Sansa can be married off and will not inherit land) and Catelyn dying, Edmur being their prisoner, there is no more house Stark and no more house Tully (they didn't see Black Fish leaving). Freys automatically get to be the biggest house in the Riverlands and Boltons can take the North. Money Power was the main reason, Lord Bolton probably was looking for a way to betray them. And they wanted to fight for the winning side - Lannisters, who has the king, capital, Casterly Rock, Queen Regeant and Tywin. Robb was just an expandable for them, killing Talisa is making sure she never births a rightful Stark. Karstarks left because of Jaimee stuff, not Talisa. But they acknowledged that the King of the North marrying basically a nobody in Westeros is not beneficial for future allies and stuff. Also in the books Robb's love interest (her name I think is Jayne there) is alive, she never came to wedding. Also the reason why Starks were so carefree is because inviting someone to your house ensures no harm to them, you can't kill them. It is like the greatest sin. First time watching this episode I legit had a panic attack and was crying non-stop, I still get shivers re-watching it. Catelyn's actress deserves an Oscar.

Goat

It is mentioned in the books that by killing their guests, Freys have broken the Guest Right, something like a hospitality oath. Whoever breaks it is believed to be cursed forever. It would explain why Robb and Catelyn didn't expect anything bad to happen to them even though walder frey is the biggest cunt out there.

Rigny la Belle

Well well well . . . I'm so sorry you finally had to endure this. When I started Game of Thrones in 2020 the only thing I knew about the plot was that there was something called "The Red Wedding". BIG sus moment for me when Walder Frey said "and the wine will flow red" at the beginning of the episode. I loved Robb more than anyone after Ned, hell I think I was in love with him (Tyrion too). I watched GOT alone during COVID and I'll never forget my brother running over to me while I was screaming during the Red Wedding. I was most worried about Cannon and Carter because of how much they've vocalized their love for Rob, but Brig seemed like he was in a special silent pain. Thank you for suffering for our delight!!!

Ana

Yeah for work. At lease I got a pfp. Loser

Riley

I have seen Game of Thrones 13 times, and this is my 14th rewatch. This is the first time in a long time that my stomach has ached watching this episode. Watching it with you guys, I am actually devastated right now even though I knew it was coming. Starks don't belong south.

Eve Griffin

welp, No longer sweet summer children....it hurts even seeing it again. Dont worry - it doesnt feel like it now but the best is yet to come.

Mitch Krueger

just know The North Remembers...

Reeker

been waiting for this one

Vernus

When I showed this to my gf I have never seen her cry so hard. It destroyed her and I loved every minute of it

Marcusinmilw

I was in the middle of binging the first 5 seasons when I first watched this episode. I would come home from work and watch 3 or 4 episodes a night. I was so pissed at the end of this episode I threw my remote across the room and it smashed against the wall. Then I was REALLY pissed. lol. I legit almost stopped watching altogether, but after about 2 or 3 weeks I realized how heavily invested I was and needed to finish.

Mitch Krueger

The definition of ICONIC... Everyone felt exactly like this. God i cant wait till Season 6.

DerekSniper30

This is the quietest the couch has been in a long time.

Nanashi

Cat's acting in the red wedding is honestly goated

1999

Jaime tells Roose Bolton in a previous episode to make sure he gives the Lannister's regards to the starks at the wedding

Jack S

I dont enjoy her character because everything that happens is her fault. She started the war if you remember.

karma license

Now that you've seen this, you can finally watch Game of Thrones the Musical by Coldplay LOL it's on Youtube 😆

Ash

Robb was wrong for breaking his oath but the Freys were in the WRONG for murdering guests.

Nanashi

Spoken like a true targaryan, what's next? You'll say Robb should've married his mom or something?

Jack S

The mods who deleted my comments are actually disgusting. Its really funny how you cant engage in an argument that counters the evidence I presented so you just delete my argument that took me time to write. It wasn't for you, loser, it was for everyone else, specifically those who read the books. Catelyn sucks and is responsible for the fall of House Stark. The mod is an insecure little bitch. KYS you fucking loser.

Nanashi

Didn't know there were so many Robb haters out there damn

narrowdark

shut the hell up you weirdo. Catelyn haters are the weakest link and you're acting like a crybaby. no wonder they deleted your comments. you seem incredibly unlikable.

Griffin

Been waiting 29 episodes to say... welcome to Game of Thrones.

Anthony Castillo

Been dreading this episode 😢 In the books we get to know Rob’s other lords a bit better, as well as their sons and families. It’s a pretty epic scene in terms of how all of the lords jump to protect their king. One of them flips a table over him, and they immediately start throwing hands. They were outmatched to begin with, but you have that huge sense of hope that maybe? It’s also not his wife in the books, it is one of his mentally handicapped sons that they have named “Aegon” but everyone calls him “JingleBell.” Catelyn slices his throat and Waldar Frey says something like “I have plenty more sons, and he was never much use anyway”

leah

it’s game of thrones man it’s a tv show… it’s never that serious

Anthony Castillo

I could also inform ya’ll about Lady Stoneheart, but it is a pretty big deviation from the show and spoiler for the books. So if y’all plan on reading them one day I won’t say

Jack S

No its a book series you people have no idea what you're talking about. Thank God Winds is coming out at the end of the year so there will be places to talk about it without the brain-damaged tv crowd. Hey @darra Catelyn started the war of five kings and got the Starks wiped out but you go head and slay queen.

Arctic_stark

Okay so I want to add some context. At the start of the episode, they show the Starks eating salt and bread with Walder Frey. This is a very significant ritual in Westeros. They show this ritual but never explain its significance in the show, but in the books this is brought up again and again as a huge deal. Once you give someone salt and bread under your roof, you are offering them protection. That is how you know you can trust your host. This is why the Starks were feeling comfortable during the wedding and didnt suspect anything. In the books, Catelyn warns Rob beforehand to insist that Walder Frey give them salt and bread, otherwise she knew he was capable of something like this. I cannot emphasize enough what a big deal it is for the Freys to break this ritual in this world. It's the worst thing that they can do, worse than kinnslaying. It is an abomination in the eyes of all the gods and will mark the Freys forever.

k

do you ever think to yourself maybe its a little weird to get this psychotic over fiction? go outside for once

Arctic_stark

And since McKay has mentioned a couple of book spoilers, I'll add some details (this is irrelevant to the show as these plots are excluded): 1. In the books all the Stark kids, including Jon, are wargs. In fact when Jon first goes to the wildlings the wargs in that camp recognize him as a very powerful warg. Arya is also a very powerful warg. Sansa is the exception, the author has said that her losing her wolf so early was a metaphor for her losing her connection to her Stark heritage. 2. Catelyn is brought back as Lady Stoneheart with the Red God's magic. Except, her body was horribly mutilated by the Freys and then thrown into a river for 3 days to rot. So she looks like an actual zombie. Following this she is leading a band of men to get revenge on the Freys. 3. The show doesn't give these details, but at that wedding feast, all the major houses from the North had significant family members in attendance. So in one blow, not only are the Starks eliminated (along with their army) but also all the great houses of the North have suffered huge losses.

Griffin

If you think Winds is coming out this year **you** have no idea what you are talking about 😂

ssj4rit

Walder Frey bros stay winning

Michael H

Once you guys finish this season, you should check out the Coldplay Game of Thrones Musical mockumentary. It’s only like 12 minutes, and it’s hilarious.

Jack S

@Griffin I would have said the same but GRRM met with his publishers at the beggining of this year and he just posted a blog saying hes got an announcement to make at World Con. Check youtube or twitter theres murmurs out there and with HOTD coming out in a few weeks I think its going to have an epic announcement drop.

Aedan

Aw, I'm sorry y'all had to go through this. This episode is really hard to watch... F in the chat for the Starks :(

Vanessa Sanchez

Omg! I feel your pain…. Watching it with you guys was like watching it again for the first time! If you notice this episode ends with no music…. Literally leaves you in your feels and thoughts… as hard as this is to watch you guys have brought back real emotions about this show… I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

Ana

My simple RIP comment went sooooo left 😩😂

Jack S

Listen lady, you will never be an American just like the Africans born in Germany will never be German. You come to white lands because your people are incapable of building a society as prosperous as ours and then when you get here you immediately start complaining and destroy the place with your reductive savage behavior. There's a war coming and you all going back to the 3rd world shitholes you crawled out of. The only question is if you will do so willingly or if we will have to have a rifle aimed at your back when you board the ships. Some of the foreigners can stay, the honorary Aryans who aid us, but definitely not you.

Shay Kumar

Don't worry honey, I support 2A as well and have been helping all my fellow minority friends and lgbtq+ friends learn how to shoot. I'll have something pointed right back at ya 🥰😘 it'll be glittery and pink though hehe

Ana

@Jack S Womp Womp keep on crying PoC ain't going nowhere. We here and taking over. 🤭😘😘

Shay Kumar

On the contrary it could be the very comment that leads to Whack Jack getting banned from here for good. Sometimes things get worse before they get better 😂😂 but it's always easier when the trash releases its own stink so you can kick it to the curb

Jack S

You have no rights. The situation is like if the Dothraki invaded westeros. You are the savage horselords and the knights of the realm will put every one of you to the sword. Its not even up for debate its basic intuition and common sense.

Shay Kumar

Lmao I would love to experience this level of delulu one day. I bet it's a trip

Jack S

Just look at yourself, then look at the Dothraki, then look at the knights of Westeros. Notice how Westeros has all those castles, crops, gemstones, gold, fine silk, ect. Notice how the Dothraki dont have stone structures and have to raid, rape, and pillage? Thats the civilized white world compared to the shithole third world. George is fully aware of all this. You people dont build you destroy. Look at pictures of Europe and America 100 years ago compared to today. Its so obvious multiculturalism is a disaster. You savages need to get out before it really goes bad for you and the normie white folk wake up. When the normie whites realize.... you are all really screwed.

Erika Bade

Also if you think back to Tywin writing letters when Cersei is talking to him and asking what he’s doing to get Jaime back, he says he will do whatever it takes, all while writing those letters and sealing them. Most likely those letters played a big part in the Red Wedding. Notice Bolton switches sides when he gets Jaime, because he lets him go home.

Carrie

The long silence after the episode ended... glad you guys gave it a minute to take in the weight of that final scene. It never gets any less brutal no matter how many times I’ve seen it

Shay Kumar

Dude... what are you talking about... I'm clearly white. You should get your eyes checked. Sheesh.

Erika Bade

I was binging trying to catch up before season 4 but didn’t have internet for a week and had to watch this episode in a cafe full of people

Abhinava Arasada

Facts. the first point especially is super important. Not sure why they left it out here, changes the vibe from "CAN'T BELIEVE WALDER FREY WOULD DO THAT" to "Robb was dumb for walking into an obvious trap"

McKay Carter

Sorry about the Jack S comments, he’s blocked now. No racism allowed in the chat!

Aapo

Telling someone to kill themselves because they deleted your comment?😂 What a whiny little manchild

Jessica

In the books it’s actually Jaimie who says to give his regards, so Bolton says to Robb “Jaimie Lannister sends his regards”

tp

Michelle Fairley's acting in this episode was so heartbreaking, "he is my son, my first son" she died thinking all her children were dead or in danger. The end of her POV is just as tragic too: [It hurts so much, she thought. Our children, Ned, all our sweet babes. Rickon, Bran, Arya, Sansa, Robb… Robb… please, Ned, please, make it stop, make it stop hurting… The white tears and the red ones ran together until her face was torn and tattered, the face that Ned had loved. Catelyn Stark raised her hands and watched the blood run down her long fingers, over her wrists, beneath the sleeves of her gown. Slow red worms crawled along her arms and under her clothes. It tickles. That made her laugh until she screamed. “Mad,” someone said, “she’s lost her wits,” and someone else said, “Make an end,” and a hand grabbed her scalp just as she’d done with Jinglebell, and she thought, No, don’t, don’t cut my hair, Ned loves my hair. Then the steel was at her throat, and its bite was red and cold.]

Sara

Oh yea and Rob was never married to Talisa after breaking his oath. In the books he broke his oath when he fell in love and married a noble lady named Jeyne Westerling and she actually wasn’t present during the Red Wedding so the whole Talisa mutilation scene in the show was written by the show’s writers. That’s crazy to think about.

Ana

@Jaqen. I would but if i delete my original. The thread still stays up. But sometimes things like this need to be seen. It shows how racism is still very much alive

Jaqen H'ghar

Tbf, Ned only had an affair and didn’t just straight up marry a whole other woman. Robb literally chose to marry someone else, not just sleep with someone else. I’d say it’s a little more severe on Robb’s part, lol.

Christian Hawkins

One of the toughest watch in TV series history… almost didn’t go on after this episode. Robb & Talisa were my favorite things about the show. It kinda ruined the season finale for me too because I was still grieving & struggling to recover lol can’t imagine being under the weather while watching this episode… absolutely sick.

Ana

I think one of them has to delete it. If i delete original comment it's not gonna go away

Ty Bean

I've never seen Carter and Cannon so speechless

Rhaenys Targaryen-The Queen Who Should Have Been

McKay and Jack's sadistic side eye is something. 😈 I'm reading all the comments and wonder what the merciless world of GRRM has made of us all. There's something particularly cruel about paying to see others suffer as we have.😭 Congratulations to Carter on his wedding. Now he knows what he has to do if he hears “The Rain of Castamere” at his wedding. Make sure the doors and windows are open. And run! 🤣

Andrew Lynch

I’m late but LETS GO

LuvStarburst

I can't believe how quiet carter was after that scene. One of the great scenes on TV.

Keiji

When’s the next wedding?

brog.

lol rewatching this. they start the episode instantly cannon "oh no not Robb" :skull:

Shay Kumar

I deleted the comments I made with potential spoilers but i think the gross hateful shit needs to stay. People need to see that people like Jack S exist and truly do think this way. Better to be aware than sweep it under the rug.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

This episode and The Walking Dead's 7x1 are the only episodes that had me so shook like that, and genuinely feeling sick from how hopeless the things are. Well, now you guys are no longer children of summer lmao

NoneOfYourBeeswax

So now it's official; the guys are no longer Sweet Summer Children.

Dani

bro started calling everyone who isn’t white a savage. That’s a disgusting thing to say. If you agree with him then you should go too.

Antuan

I think it was her weakness. Not her womanly weakness. To call it that is a) misogynistic, and b) means that it would have some sort of connective tissue between all women on the show which just isn’t true

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Robb breaking his vow to marry one of Frey's girls was indeed the reason Walder Frey turned against him and colluded with Tywin Lannister to arrange the Red Wedding (in an earlier episode Tywin alludes to this plan when talking to Tyrion; at the time he is writing the letter to Walder Frey to plan the Red Wedding. Robb's betrayal angered him because one of his daughter would have been a queen, giving the Freys a tremendous amount of influence. He knew that his family would never have been granted such exalted status through allying with the Lannisters. And with reference to Roose Bolton's remark "The Lannisters send their regards" as his plunges his dagger into Robb - he was using the exact words Jame Lannister told him in a previous episode, when Bolton tells Jame he's going to The Twins for the stark & Frey marriage as he sends Jame off to King's Landing. Jame however didn't know of the plan so was being sincere when he told Bolton to tell Robb the Lannisters send their regards. This message and it's supposed meaning takes on much greater significance in the books , as Catelyn Stark heard Bolton say it as he slayed her son, so when she returned as the vengeful Lady Stoneheart her hatred of all Lanisters was implacable.

Marcusinmilw

Oh damn. This episode is traumatic enough without not being able to freak out in private. 😂

NoneOfYourBeeswax

You think "Winds of Winter" is coming out EVER and you're calling other people "braindead"! :D

Caleb

i remember watching this and just thinking, wth am i supposed to do now, rob was up there with my favourite characters, he made a mistake but he was still a goat, but dw boys, season 4 is easily the best season of GOT, and arguably the best single season of any show ever, every single episode slaps, purely peak fiction

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Not "haters", just people spitting facts. In GoT actions have consequences, and the Red Wedding s the consequence of Robb Stark breaking his solemn vow to marry one of Frey's daughters. He brought it all upon himself.

Lydia

Watching this a second time after years, I’m still sick. It’s just so devastating. They finally had a tiny bit of hope for their house 😭😭 only thing making me feel better is we’re moving on to season 4

Derek

“It hurts so much, she thought. Our children, Ned, all our sweet babes. Rickon, Bran, Arya, Sansa, Robb . . . Robb . . . please, Ned, please, make it stop, make it stop hurting . . . Amna 🍉

Michelle Fairley is extremely underrated, her performance as Catelyn Stark was amazing!

Caraxes🐐DT

You are such a weirdo have you ever won a war? If not don’t speak on them I guess

Amna 🍉

The North actually somewhat fought back in the books

Bambina

I was going between crying and laughing because of McKay’s evil grin and the complete silence after the episode ended

krystin-02

I think Cannon is going to like the ending in a way

Lydia

Exactly, let’s move on and suppress this memory lol

Shay Kumar

He can have those opinions, he just can't express them here, in a group where the rules indicate to respect others and to refrain from racism, sexism, and hate speech. He also wrote "heil hitler". If you agree with any of that, enjoy your ban lol. Words have consequences.

Shay Kumar

This entire comment is a spoiler and mods should delete this and block this guy asap. Can't fix crazy sadly.

Shay Kumar

Dw Jack S is gone. The guy with Aegon the Elder in his pfp should be next lol

Mira

Jesus, I thought Patreon would be safe from misogynists and racists yet here we are. The whole “broad truths about the sexes” (aka stereotypes which are actually just prejudice and coded discrimination) and “womanly weakness” is the EXACT argument misogynists use to argue that women shouldn’t be presidents/doctors/etc.

Shay Kumar

Misogynists see a group of 5 young white mormon guys making videos and automatically assume they'll be as open to sexism and racism as they are lol

Amna 🍉

The red wedding would've happened regarless of Robb marrying the Frey girl or not. The main goal was to take Robb out of the game. He was literally a 15 years old winning all his battles, Tywin knew that was a problem. Lucky for Tywin, he had willing collaorators: Walder Frey, who has a long history of hating house Tully and house Stark and Roose Bolton, A RAT. and if Tywin didn't have those two, he probably would've found someone eventually. Maybe, it wouldn't have happened exactly as the red wedding but Robb would definitely been taken out of the game. Robb is a menace on the battlefield, Tywin had to turn to treachery and betrayal to take him out.

Shay Kumar

Baby girl, like i said above, you can have the views you want, you just can't express them here because the rules demand respect for others, and no tolerance for sexism. You've openly and gladly gone against both of those rules. And you're also the one with the fake name and pfp hiding behind anonymity because you can't own what you say in your real life. That's why you're here lol. I feel so sorry for you.

Mira

Please give me objective facts that prove women are weaker at making decisions. Also, knock it off with the false flagging.

Darrell Henry

I disagree. The Freys were loyal to Robb until he broke his word. There’s no way they would have betrayed him and given up the chance for a Frey as a Queen.

Josh Viz

I strongly disagree sure Tywin plays the long game but we also know other events happen shortly after this where if Robb had still been alive he'd come out on top. We also know Winter isn't as close as they think Robb would have been fine

Jacob Goldsmith

was gonna say dude was just disagreeing but then kept scrolling. sad he couldnt articulte his ideas without insults just cause people have disagreements

Jacob Goldsmith

damn why all the drama happen when im sleeping geks

༒ dianna ༒

I cant believe they did this to my family :((

yeah that one chick is annoying disagree with her over GOT and she calls you the KKK par for the course these days though

Nat Brojeni

kat notices the lanister song. That's why she finds it so odd they're playing that.

Anna

Idk who you mean but I was talking about Jack S lol

Linn

Add Sons of Anarchy 6x13 too that list and I’m with you. Couldn’t finish SoA or TWD after those episodes… Glad I stuck with it for GoT though.

Nat Brojeni

Caitlin comes back as one of the army of the dead. Not trying to spoil it but you'll know when she would've come alive I guess later on.

Amna 🍉

That's why I said if it wasn't the Freys, Tywin would've found someone else to do the deed.

Amna 🍉

Yup like I said Tywin couldn't face Robb in a battlefield so he turned to betrayal and treachery bc Robb would've won in a battlefield

yio

Man I'm sick to my stomach. I felt sick for the whole latter half of the episode even though I knew it was coming. Seeing Cannon and Carter speechless at the end with wet eyes lowkey got me on the verge of tears. I was never the biggest Rob fan but I really liked Catelyn and her love for her family. The way she goes out is so so tragic. Not just physically but mentally. Seeing her eldest die in front of her, and then murdered herself... all while believing the rest of her children are dead.

Aden

Watching this when it came out was other worldly pain

yio

Just wanna say I'm really loving your guys reactions, its been very enjoyable rewatching GoT with you Here's to the rest of the seasons o7

Socorro Viernes

The actress for Catelyn gives me chills everytime I rewatch, she delivered in this episode so hard

JD Galbraith

Did anyone mention that Jon Snow and the girl are married in real life?

Shay Kumar

Lol damn you're still here? Thought you agreed with the racist guy. Yeah bro if you want to spew unpopular opinions, say it with your whole chest and use your name and real face in your pfp. Hiding behind Aegon the Elder and now Ramsay just screams unwell lol.

Eywa

i never enjoy seeing people in pain...unless it's the red wedding. I like to think other people will carry the same ptsd as me lol

Eywa

kinda happy you guys didn't get spoiled and props for continuing filming after, i was so shocked I couldn't do anything on first watch it just kept spiraling and the scene repeating itself in my head the whole night

Eywa

you guys should check other people's reactions to this, you'll feel less lonely

Bellaa

loved this reaction so much! still makes me cry but i couldnt stop laughing at you guy’s experiencing this😅 this episode ignites a fire inside the fans that ive never seen any other show pull off

Paul Durbin

Yes we are all aware (and so are they) that Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie are married irl.

Alexa

Seriously Catelyn hit me the hardest. As a mother myself her pain is so raw and relatable

yio

I think of my mum every time Cat is having a hard time on screen, and the Red Wedding is no exception

Shay Kumar

Well, Ramsay formerly Aegon the Elder from his pfp, dropped a bunch of sexist comments and then said "sometimes truth requires anonymity" to which i said that is definitely something a KKK member would say. He also said he agreed with Jack S who was spewing shit saying anyone who isn't white is a savage, Jack S also was saying heil hitler and shit. So... yeah I'm happy to call him out and I will definitely use proper terminology when doing so. If you agree with any of what's been said, you'll get called out too lol idgaf. If he wants to be racist and sexist he can say it with his whole chest, face, and name. And he should. Lancing a boil is never pleasant.

Tieland

Congratulations!! You're no longer sweet dinner children! Welcome to winter. It sucks and you're gonna love/hate it!!! 😊🤷🏽‍♀️

Chad-gon Targaryen

Truth does many times require anonymity. The greatest country in the world relied on scholars to publish the federalist papers under a pseudonym. Read up on OUR history if you think the only instance of anonymous information dissemination came from the KKK. Without anonymous speech, people would be beholden to vicious cancel culture mobs such as yourself.

Shay Kumar

I read up on American history daily, it's part of my job. Anonymous speech isn't protected under private organizations like Patreon, and you aren't permitted free speech because of the rules outlined by Patreon and StudioGek. We don't live in the 1700s babe. We live in 2024, and words have consequences. Seems like you just want to avoid accountability and play victim.

Shay Kumar

That's fine with me! I'm happy to speak out against hate and use appropriate name calling when it's warranted. I would rather correctly say "that sounds like something a KKK member would say" due to their overt statements (he deleted them but dw i took screenshots lol) than accommodate hateful beliefs. Tolerance doesn't include tolerating intolerance. The high road looks pretty but you'll have a hard time marching your army down it. Sorry you're so sensitive, jacob.

Chad-gon Targaryen

These are the kinds of statements a modern day gestapo would make. You are the only one trying to silence people for their beliefs. You are the only one smearing people as genocidal racists for stating there are inherent differences between the sexes. Congrats on your screenshots, go run and tell the teacher what the bad boy in class did. Based on your comments and attitudes I am just left to assume you are mentally frozen in elementary school. These kinds of foolish statements are why we need tests to determine who can vote. Thank god this kind of cultural plague is going to die out in 6 months or so.

Jacob Goldsmith

ye im sensitive for calling out your BS as you run up and down chat arguing with anyone who willl

Shay Kumar

Who exactly do you want to not vote? Liberals? Women? People of color? Can you clarify for me? How is this cultural plague going to die out? Say it with your chest so everyone can hear.

Shay Kumar

Call me out all you want babe. Doesn't quiet me one bit lol I'm happy to always dish back 😘🥰. Only reason I replied here is because Nameless Troll up there decided to keep my name in his mouth. If he didn't want shit he didn't need to start it 😘

Chad-gon Targaryen

By the start of 2025 cancel culture will be dead and forgotten and the cultural plague of cowing to the most triggered individuals will be a relic of a bygone era.

lola

Nah, that’s cap. Had Robb kept his word, the Freys would have had a queen. It would’ve been 10 times harder for Tywin to kill Robb had Robb kept his word so it’s a moot point saying Tywin would’ve found someone eventually bc you don’t know that he would have. Had it been easy to find someone to kill Robb, he would’ve done it from the very beginning. He needed the Freys and Bolton. Bolton was also loyal until he realized Robb was going to lose the war. He decided to play his cards to further his own house. He knew that Robb lost the war the day he married Talisa, as did everyone else especially the Karstarks.

JaJa

No more "attack, attack" from Talisa😔

Ana

@jacob he deleted all his comments and changed his name and pic. If he wasn't wrong he wouldn't have did that. He knows what he said was wrong that is why he tried to hide and delete. If you don't know what happened or have facts maybe you shouldn't speak on it. I'm not trying to argue with you either. Just stating what happened. And also defending Shay because she has came to my defense. And is right.

Chad-gon Targaryen

I deleted due to a direct request from the Gek’s. Who am I to question my liege? Pfp changes based on the vibe of the episode and who’s gonna trigger the most weaklings.

Starkfern

If robb married the frey's, and didn't kill Lord karstark AND if robb kept tywin busy while stannis sacked kings landing he would of won, especially that last won.

Sean Carroll

Talysa was too hot to die so early

safaricat

i became a member just to see this episode. i couldn't wait. Carter didn't look away once i'm proud of him.... but also it is a shocking scene. i cry every time i see this episode still.

Anthony Plunkett

Its a right of passage my brothers in watching... it was rough... imagine waiting a WHOLE WEEK after this, and then they let you sit in your feelings at the end too, no music... just silence

sushi

it’s 100% robb’s fault and i will always dislike robb for this. he started off strong, and then along the way his purpose fell apart and he forgot his goal. i lowkey blame talyssa too. love is the death of duty.

sushi

jorah is such a DILF every time he’s on screen i bark fr

sushi

bills were DUE for catelyn’s actor because she deliveredddd

Grim Reaper

I'm watching this for the first time with you guys and I had the exact same reaction, just pure silence. I'm sick to my stomach rn, I don't even want to watch the show anymore

Matt Haloostock

I watched this when it aired with my brother and one of my roommates. We had the same reaction as you guys where we sat in silence while the credits rolled. Rob was our favorite character. Nothing can prepare you for this episode.

Andrew Lynch

Yeah that’s the typical reaction and the one I felt too, just like anger at the people making it for doing that to me it’s like fine fixk this then

Uros Vesic

I remember my sister coming out of her room, crying, and making me watch the ep as soon as possible. It was quite the shock.

sushi

literally i would’ve been all over that thing already

Darkstar

The fact that Carter didn't even flinch or look away at what is likely the most gory scene/shots they've seen on any of the shows they've watched just shows how shocking the end of this episode actually was.

Steffen Krüger

the biggest trauma episode in the history of TV

Ash Hale

The actress who plays Catlyn deserved every award posible for her amazing acting. It felt so real, I forgot it was a fantasy show.

josephocenada

They missed discussing who really planned it, "The Lannisters send their regards". It's one of the greatest react moment for unsullied (unspoiled) first time watchers but Jackson keeps moving and smiling while it's happening. Come on.

sabigya adhikari

It's also Roose Bolton's sick sense of humor, since Jamie last words to Roose was "Tell Robb Stark, I can't make it to his uncle's wedding. The Lannister send their regards".

SlamboHamburg

The silence was palpable at the end

tp

"Ned loves my hair" 😢 it was somewhat of a comforting line to me because I thought at least now they'll be reunited in death, and then LSH happens 😭

Shikhar Srivastava

Guys, please please look into this. I am raising this issue for the 4th time now. Every episode nowadays remains locked on patreon for me while it drops on Youtube earlier that day. Today it is 3x10 GOT. Earlier it was the case with 3x08,3x09 and the boys 1x04, 1x05. I have subscribed to legacy uncut tier. This is very terribly frustrating. Please look into it and find a permanent solution.

Jenna

subscribed just for this. the total disappoint is so heartbreaking to watch 🥲 sorry guys!!

Mitchel Budoff

watching those reactions as a second watcher was so funny i love this group

notchrisramirez

Cringe af. At least you are giving the boys your money... but idk if your couple bucks is worth it to know you get to experience this with us. Go spend your 5/month somewhere else.

notchrisramirez

Just watched this for the first time with y’all and as I started episode 10 I look down at my mouse (its iBuyPower) and it has a wolf looking head as its symbol. I can never look at it the same now… LONG LIVE THE STARKS. LONG LIVE THE KING OF THE NORTH. F THAT RAT BOLTON AND F THAT RAT FREY

Sam

Wrong. The Lannisters started it by throwing Bran from the tower. And she imprisoned Tyrion because she was made to believe that he sent the assassin since it was his dagger. Plus she received letter from her sister warning her of the Lannisters. Literally any sane person would have done the same thing. Stop being such a hindsight warrior and read the context, it's not that hard

Sam

I just love the idea of a vengeful Cat murdering people, but I agree with you. Her coming back to life has to have a huge implications for the future plot and it has to be done in a way that makes sense, otherwise it will feel like a waste.

Leo

I hate catelyn stark for how she treated Jon and I actually felt happy when she died but really felt sad for robb

Nicole

This hurts even after seeing it many times. I cried watching it again. The actress that plays Cat is phenomenal, i feel her pain in that scream, then she gave up and didn’t even flinch when her throat is cut, she died already seeing him die. This episode leaves you literally speechless. Welcome officially to the Game of thrones.

yani

idk if anyone has mentioned (and im not abouta read all the comments) but this is the only episode where the end credits roll in silence. every other episode has some music.

Kaylee S

Ah yes. The episode that gave birth to reaction channels

DC

"And who are you?" The proud Lord said "That I must bow so low" Only a cat of a different coat That's all the truth I know In a coat of gold or a coat of red A lion still has claws Mine are long and sharp, my lord As long and sharp as yours And so he spoke, and so he spoke That Lord of Castamere But now the rains weep o'er his hall And not a soul to hear
