That's pretty common in Japan. People put them in a fireproof container to carry until they can dispose of them properly instead of throwing cigarette butts on the floor. I still smoked cigarettes when I first visited Japan... and when I was buying cigarettes in a store, the lady gave me a little fire proof pouch to put my cigarette butts into until I got to a bin to dispose of them properly (bins aren't as readily available out in the street in a lot of areas in Japan).

I honestly prefer Dandadan a lot more than JJK if I'm being honest. I've been a weekly reader of both manga the whole time, but Dandadan for me is way ahead in quality (that's all just personal preference though :) everyone has different tastes so I'm sure there's plenty of people who feel differently to me).

It's pretty much a portable ashtray. You carry it with you when you don't want to throw the cig on the street. Common in Japan but you can buy it anywhere. I usually carry one with me when I'm on a road trip or when I'm somewhere I know there won't be any trash cans.

You should do Orb: On the movement of the Earth after you finish Dandadan. It’s the hidden gem of the season. I finished the manga 2 years ago, and reread it several times. It’s peak fiction like Vinland Saga and AOT. The setting, the plot, characterization, the ending… everything is perfect! You’re definitely gonna love it !! Orb is a True Masterpiece.
