Jinx’s death was awful. There was no need for it. Vik and Jayce on the other hand. I love how they ended! Obviously this show is the best thing I’ve ever seen. I would give it a 9.7 personally and that’s still good. Season one is obviously a 10/10

In all honesty there were many probelms with this season, especially the ending. but im just thankful its not bad enough to cloud my judgement of the show as a whole. as a complete show i give it a 8.5/10. Definitely wouldve been a 9.5 or 9.8 had it got a better ending. This last act is also the weakest of the 3 for me, the second one being the best

I for one am happy to live in the universe with Arcane. Cant wait to see news on the spinoff/continuation. Hope they dont leave us in the dark too long in that regard. I expect Singed and Mel to be of those who will be in it. And maybe after a few spinoffs they converge all the plots and we get some of the OG piltover characters to come back. Lots of potential here.

I think they hinted at her surviving during end of the last ep where Cait was holding the head of a monkey (Jinx's signature), as Cait is looking at the hexgate schematics you see it specifically zooms in on the "air ducts and cooling system" tunnels. I assume she survived and escaped through these somehow

season 1 10/10, season 2 7.8/10. Show is still a 9/10 overall, ending felt very underwhelming, especially the whole piltover and zaun being united out of nowhere with sevika becoming a counselor, jinx "death" felt forced like they didint know what to do with her character anymore, caitlyn flip floping, vi being useless.

Go back and rewatch the moment she falls until the end of the episode, if you watch it knowing shes alive the cait scene makes way more sense, and you'l see the purple shimmer flash to the tunnels in the walls right before the explosion (That Cait is then looking at later when trying to find her)

I hope u guys noticed that at the end, Caitlyn was holding the part of jinx’s bomb which didn’t explode clearly cuz she is holding it, and then she looks at the map of the place jinx vi and warwick were, and she sees that their are air vents leading out of the place. Which is why Caitlyn smiles when she sees AND u can see a shimmer trail lead out of the expolosion and into the air vents. And on the blimp, episode 1 season 1 jinx said she would fly on one of those. Idk if they’re all coincidences but!!!

Definitely some extra scenes/episodes could have filled in the small holes where they seemed to skip ahead. But with the time given to them I thought they did an excellent job regardless. Just another Game Of Thrones type thing but done much better. They're ready to move onto the next story, and it doesn't mean we won't see some of these characters returning I feel. No way. There's too much characters teased to return at the end there.

Agreed. What ive learned is the worst thing a series could do is tell you its ending. Then people start hyper-fixating on deadlines and "conclusions" instead of just enjoying art. Pacing is very important dont get me wrong, but people are turning nitpicks to a whole new level with things. Art analyzed through meta-expectations isnt conducive to a positive experience imo.

Honestly idk if I want to see Jinx in another story. Having her sail away feels like a solid bittersweet conclusion to her character. Idk what her purpose/arc would be (except maybe to return to Piltover in the end(?)).

Oh jinx for sure is alive. I’ve seen people point out the quick pink blast off before the explosion which could be jinx escaping and her breaking the cycle and knowing when to walk away

the episodes were too short, considering this was the finale season. each episode should’ve been like 1hr 10/20 minutes. and it’s crazy how i felt more emotional for isha death than jinx, because they did the building up towards isha death really well, whereas jinx death felt like cop out. before the author of berserk died he stated that he wasn’t going to give a character that suffered a lot , a tragic ending. sometimes wholesome endings are better. despite how i feel about the shows ending , i still think it’s the best series netflix has ever done and i can’t wait to see what they do in the future.

this season really solidified jayce as a great character. last season I didnt even consider him as one of my favourites (Viktor, vi, and now also echo). I wish there was a bit more time with some of the other characters like sevika, ambessa, mel etc. it just felt rushed but still such a great show for me

The story does have a resolution, I just thought it was executed poorly and personally dont agree with the direction they went. Also just not a fan of the multiverse/free will concept done again it just feels overdone at this point.

This is my opinion on a better route for Jinx: She's still depressed and Ekko has to talk her down, seeing the monkey things inside his machine makes her think of something her and Isha did together (when he's talking about building a better future for people). Then when she shows up to help she's fully embraced the Jinx persona. Manic and sort of unhinged, but not necessarily as 'evil' as her league version. She could still die or she could just say goodbye to Vi, as they're on two different paths by that point. Also I do think Warwick should've died. Vi and Jinx could've had one final moment together mourning Vander and basically getting some closure and saying goodbye to the past, including their past selves. It would've been very symbolic and much more cathartic imho. Other than that though, it was kind of messy but I didn't mind. Really could've benefited from an extra episode or even an extra act, even though it messes with the structure.

I love this series because it highlights minor characters like the father who got shot in the neck. He may not have a huge role to play, but it goes out of its way to show how his daughter was sent away while he stayed to fight but ultimately lost his life. You also have the blue-haired Jinxer woman and the pianist.

I completely get what carter is saying in the post discuss, yes this could've been better with more episodes but that's because it's what they wrote. They didn't need to go this big in this season, they could've had a way more compact story to end the show and set up the future.

Not a big fan of how they ended the show. My biggest complaint is the obvious one: the pacing and how rushed it felt. I do enjoy bitter endings—I usually get very emotional with those types of moments and cry at almost anything sad. But somehow, all these deaths had no emotional impact on me. There were also a lot of cheesy moments, though that’s more of a personal complaint. I really liked the first six episodes, even though they weren’t perfect, and I also enjoyed episode 7 (it was kind of fan service, but I liked it anyway). Episode 8 felt like the show was just rushing to the finish line, and the final episode reminded me of Avengers: Endgame: a huge conflict resolved with a massive fight that, in my opinion, fell flat. This isn’t to hate on the show—I’m just a little disappointed because I had big expectations. edit: To be clear, I don't hate the ending, It's just that it needed more time imo. At it's lowest, this show is still top 3 oat 🐐

Second season of Arcane for some people is like going back to your favorite restaurant to eat your favorite food. Food is the same, but you are disappointed because there was no BJ for dessert. Not like there is anything wrong with expecting that, but not really realistic. There are parts of the season that are not as good as first one, but there are stuff that are much better. I am certain it would be even better on rewatch, probably could see how/why plot progressed. Great reaction, after every watch I went here to see what guys thought about it. It was as fun as watching it myself for the first time. PS. Ambesa vs Warwick fight would be stupid to show as it was much better reveal when he had to fight Jinx, bc of their history and all. Also, open ending gives more freedom for these characters to shows in other shows, which I hope they will. I am so bummed this is over, but so glad I could be here for this masterpiece.

As a league fan season 2 was more in what i expected magic and world wise and i liked it more. i dont get why people think its worse then season 1 personally. I think what people expect of the show who basically know only arcane and season 1 it might be going to fast, but the powerscaling in the world is crazy. Think people knowing league and not knowing league/lore maybe have different opinions idk. I dont understand people thinking the magic and stuff was going crazy, season 1 had a ton of magic and hints to this. Honestly piltover and zaun has the least "super hero" thing of whole runeterra, the other parts of the world will be way more like that. Its called 'league of legends' after all, legends of monsters, heroes and evil people and their stories. I think for some people there are expectations of how it wouldve gone and those are different then some others and maybe that makes it feel weird for some idk. Also Why the noxus people dont do anything after ambessa got killed has reasons, noxus isnt your typical "faction" of just follow the leader.

I feel like Jinx is alive as Caitlyn was looking at possible ways she could've escaped. There's also that pink line dash just before the explosion, so I feel like it's suggesting she's alive, possibly leaving on the ship at the end. I have no clue what happened to Viktor, Jayce, or Heimerdinger. I know that Yordles (supposedly) have their spirits survive after death, which means that Heimerdinger (and Smeech lol) could still be alive in some form. As for Warwick, we never got to see his more "wolf-life" appearance from the game, but it could've been a purely stylistic change and maybe he is dead. Maybe Vander is dead within Warwick, but the beast is still alive.

I know theres a middle ground out there. But this is way closer to said middle ground than any recent show I can think of. (Except Severence, but not enough people watch that)

The thing is the story is actually perfect. The problem isn’t the magic or the marvel superhero ending or the deaths or even the music montages. The story is perfect…if it didn’t rush the plot. That’s all people are criticizing, the pacing issues that affect everything else. Everything that had happened in this finale is legitimately a great way to end it but the audience didn’t get to engage with what should have been key moments leading up to it. That is what’s missing for people. Story is different from plot. The story itself is perfect. All they needed was more time to effectively resolve the main conflict. Most viewers are satisfied. It’s a great story and a good follow up!

i might actually put s2 over s1. bc i cried so many times. I absolutely love Isha. I also play LoL so i am familiar with the champions. Seeing Victor in his Glorious Evolution, Warwick, and Ekko making his time machine was pretty awsome. Heimerdinger dropping one of his ingame lines : never a dull moment. and the introduction of the black rose was pretty cool too.

For me S2 act 2 was the best Arcane ever was, act 3 was still great but felt a bit rushed and probably would have been better if they gave it 2-3 more episodes to give more closure. Hard to rate it, but I still think S2 wa slightly better than S1 given it's insane peaks.

Quality was excellent, but im very disappointed with multiple things, I feel similar to how I felt with GoT s8... The scope got way out of hands with the whole multiverse thing and it was a bit overwhelming for the amount of episodes they got to explain it. But even if that stayed the same, there was a lot of sacrifice and no payoff to the main plotlines 1. We didn't get Jinx and Vi to fully reconcile 2. Jinx most likely pulled out a Batman (dead but not really just leaves) 3. Vander still died (?) And I could go on, but my point is I invested all this time and I got nothing of the things that I wanted.

Nothing "needs" to happen, but I dont watch fantasy shows for the tragedy genre, I was emotionally invested in the characters and their story and for some reason I didn't get rewarded in any level. I come out of this with absolutely no satisfaction, only cool visuals and an interesting, but under developed time loop plot. Also reminder this is all my personal opinion regarding my tastes. I'm not trying to say that a story needs to be a certain way or always have a happy ending, but I do expect some highs with the lows, it just so happened that this season had lots of long very low lows and very few and short lived highs.

its not a multiverse its timeline. Besides only Ekko can go there and only for 4 secs back. Jinx and VI would never be the same it wouldn't make sense. She saved her sister finally after her failure in s1e3, Silco told her the only way to end the cycle was to "walk away". We saw Vander's mind die in ep8. Most things were explained. People just made their own conclusions before the show even aired big mistake.

If this isn’t a multiverse, how is there a timeline where Zaun is thriving, Jinx is mentally stable, and Vander and Silco are alive? Unless I’m missing something huge, this has to be a multiverse. Also, just because a character hinted at something a long time ago doesn’t mean it had to happen, especially in such an unnecessarily dramatic way. For two characters defined by the loss of loved ones, how does it make sense for Jinx to force Vi to relive the same kind of trauma that broke her in the past? Vi and Jinx could have had a heartfelt final conversation, with Jinx leaving Zaun on good terms while still stepping aside so “the cycle” could end. But honestly, I don’t even understand that argument, Jinx wasn’t the sole cause of all the chaos, she isn't even attached to the main cataclysm of the plot. So, what? is every main character supposed to leave? The more I think about it, the less sense it makes. And considering they’ve traveled across both time and dimensions, and the fact that HE DIED IN SEASON 1, witnessing "Vander’s mind die" ultimately means nothing.

season 1 was peak, season 2 was great but there is just too many missed opportunities to flesh out some plot points better (Mel with her mage thing, the arcane itself, vi and jinx's relationship development, mel and jayce's relationship, etc) It was still a gut-wrenching end especially that my top favorite characters died (Vikor, Jayce, Jinx, Heimerdinger) and my least favorite characters lived (Vi, Caitlyn, Sevika). Ekko being mvp and living kinda made me feel a tiny bit better. Favorite episode is episode 7 for this season. Arcane is still peak, I agree with the geks the visuals, music, cinematography was out of this world but giving this season another arc or 3 more episodes could have made it a masterpiece.

I don't think jinx is dead there are too many things alluding she probably is still alive. You can see her shimmer out top right of the first blue explosion as well as Caitlyn investigating the air ducts probably because of no evidence of a body alluding that jinx probably escaped out through there. in season 1 ep 1 powder also says one day she would ride that ship in the end scene this ties in with that scene with Silco and Jinx in the cell where he says to jinx " the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away" jinx is probably on that ship leaving Vi to be happy with Caitlyn and as Ekko said through out this act "Taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind". I just don't think they would kill off such an important character in the LoL verse in that way or i might be coping. LoL fans: Love the small hints they give of the next characters in the future shows of Swain and LeBlanc with the crows and the vision of swain in LeBlanc's vision with Mel, Noxus looks exciting.

Arcane vs one piece and naruto which is better?

Jinx is alive and hears why, during the jail scene with silco, silco says, “i think the cycle ends when you find the will to walk away”, right after that scene jinx leaves vi and tells her she deserves to be happy, jinx knows vi cant be with Caitlyn if shes around, and she knows if vi thinks shes alive, vi will never let her go. At the end when the grenade explodes, simultaneously as it explodes you see a single pink shimmer streak dash to the side, and the rest of the explosion is blue, during the final scene caitlyn is looking at the hexgate tower and looks at the vents and smiles, she knows jinx is alive and chose to leave to let them be happy and finally, in episode one of the show, powder on the roof sees one of those ships and says one day shes going to ride on one and leave, and the final scene of the show is the exact same ship leaving and, but the only difference on the ship in the end is a blue flag, jinx is 100% alive. The show-runners are chefs, they left subtle hints, theres just no way that was how jinx ended, she is alive, i feel like this is the writers way of saying if you pay attention to subtle hints and foreshadowing, you get some comfort, but if it goes over your head too bad you get to think jinx is dead

no yeah i agree - i think the season is great but it was just a little disjointed for me because everything seemed so rushed. i would sometimes get taken out of the experience and wish there was more time on certain subplots unlike in season 1, but i still cried and loved the experience. Overall a great time though

Carter I agree with you SO HARD, the animation was great, I loved the music and I loved most of the characters but the narrative really suffered from pacing/lack of time/episodes. It no longer felt as character driven in the end and felt heavily reliant on the arcane plot! I still loved the show and its still top for me but as someone who only watched season 1 in the last few months rather than waited 3 years, it didn’t feel like a match. I was so upset with Jinx’s ending. I wanted this mentally traumatized girl that we’ve seen suffer and fight and grow for 18 episodes to get a better ending, it was a disservice to her character and especially her and Vi’s story together. And the fact that she might actually be alive in the end but far away feels cheap. Still loved the season and the show, but eh. I feel just as confused and mixed as you. It was all these little things building up on top of each other that knocked it down for me.

But I don't think they clocked that Jinx isn't dead, heavily implied that she survives, you see a pink shimmer line escaping the explosion, Cait looking at the vents near the explosion and the blimp at the end which calls back to one of Powders first lines about riding in one of those. She just felt like she needed to leave for the others to be happy. I think we'll see Jinx again in the future, probably in Demacia or maybe even a return to Piltover and Zaun.

Thanks Geks for introducing this series to me like two weeks ago 😭 I don’t think I’ve had a show hit me this emotionally before. The last 2 eps were so fast paced tho that I didn’t think I had time to even process what was happening in the moment. All in all, Viktor and Jayce having their ending, Cait and Vi being happy and Jinx flying off to live a new life makes this ending perfectly fine to me. Also caitlyn was inspecting the ducts in the hexgates at the end thinking she may have escaped through one of them. Hey, I hope the Gek's read this but as another commenter said there was a livestream with the co-creator of Arcane confirming 2 or 3 more shows in Demacia, Ionia, and Noxus. He also confirmed that one new show has already been in the works for a year. I understand complaints about the pacing though I think this season could've used atleast one more Act to flesh out some story lines but in the end I still love this show. I hope Carter can find his love for a very character driven slower story in something like Noxus or Ionia. I bought my first ever Patreon subscription to watch the reaction of all of you to this show and I'll be sure to buy one again once the next show comes out. I will say though the creator also confirmed Viktor and Jayce's stories are not done, neither Vi and Caitlyn. There's so much more they can do to explore other characters in Piltover and Zaun but unfortunately like Christian Linke said in the stream this story was meant to focus on Vi and Jinx, n then Jayce and Viktor and you can't fit everyone in the region in one show. Even Heimerdinger will come back since he's a Yordle, they can't technically die. As a lore fan the teases for another show make me feel estatic and I hope whatever they cook up next can be just as good as Arcane season 1 or better.

There are strong hints Jinx is alive, during the explosion at the top you see her pink shimmer trail speed blitz away. Caitlyn is looking at the diagram of the Hextech area where the vents are to figure out where she could've escaped too as she was holding on to Jinx's monkey head. At the end we see a random airship travelling away that could be a nod to when she said she always wanted to be fly in one, after she that it cuts to a Jinx style "The End" title screen.

Ultimately his goal after fusing with the hexcore was always "The Glorious Evolution", in which he fuses every living being into one mind to make an end to senseless bloodshed, anger and sorrow. After realising that he ultimately just creates an empty world where nothing is worth doing, and ideals dont exist, he realises his mistake and goes back in time to give Jayce the Hexrune, so Jayce can stop him from following through.

I am so torn on what season I like most but I will probably go with Season 2. The Act 2 of Season 2 is a masterpiece and easily the best arc of Arcane for me. It's a tier called Exalted. The skin is gonna have major effects and it's only obtainable by playing gacha. I think for a lot of people, myself included, the expectation of what season 2 was going to be did not match what we got. That's not a criticism of the show, it's just that they decided to go with a way bigger cosmic-level scale for season 2 after season 1 was a pretty intimate, character-focused story. For me, I liked what they did and I appreciate all the character choices they made, but I can honestly understand if people who were looking for a progression of season 1 feel disappointed with this season. I think in the long run though, we're going to look back at this season as another incredibly well made season of the show. Sad to leave Piltover and Zaun behind, but excited to see where Riot takes it next. They have my complete trust

Everyone, be real. The only reason why anyone feels bad about ANYTHING in this season is because you simply wanted more because it is just SO GOOD. The stuff we all want to have gotten more fleshed out and spread into more episodes we can all imagine in our heads since we just didn't get this time. The creators have said they aren't done with most of these characters stories so we are NOT done and they will be coming back. As for looking onward, the new stories that we haven't seen yet - the biggest most obvious new thing that was flat out shown were the ravens with three red eyes. Those ravens are tied to a very important new character you haven't yet seen in Arcane, but is very well known in League lore and in the game. It is easy to know where the story will go next just from seeing those ravens, and if you have paid attention, those ravens have been present in the show for a very long time, keenly observing everything that's been happening, but most people hadn't paid attention to them in the show at all.

Also, with everything we've seen so far in this show, I'm surprised that people are so sure Ambesa is actually dead. She may very well be in a coma, and could have had her soul sucked out by "You-know-who" and put somewhere as a token for future blackmail or to otherwise manipulate future events, as a sort of ace up their sleeve, because that's EXACTLY what "You-know-who" would do. If you actually look at the scene, the "You-know-who" drained something out of Ambesa's head with magic, and if they wanted to kill Ambesa, it would have been much easier to kill her faster by simply snapping her neck with magic, but the "You-know-who" specifically went in super close to perform whatever that was. And we all learned in Arcane many times now, no detail in this show is an accident. I wouldn't write Ambesa off so quickly just yet. She was also just released as a brand new champion in the game. It would make zero sense to immediately kill her off in a show that cost 250 mil to make and is literally the biggest promotional material for their main game. LMAO

A video was released a bit before Arcane season 2 that showed a lot of Ambesa's backstory, which includes important context which might clarify some of your feelings about Mel and her powers and many people here have asked you guys to look at it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhTZTy1rZhw ...at some point you just have to take into consideration that when a universe/lore is at this grand scale, things like these will happen - lore is being built in bits and pieces throughout different pieces of medium, so take a few minutes to look at relevant videos from time to time if you need clarification. There is plenty more if you care to take the time to get a broader picture. It will enrich your love for the show exponentially. Necrit's videos about the whole lore of Runeterra for example or any of the official League animated story videos.

After gathering my thoughts I came to the conclusion that season 2 was better to me. Yes season 1 had better pacing but that's all that was better to me. Season 1 was amazing. But it did not bring the emotions that season 2 did. I was scared during act 2 like how are they gonna wrap this up? And they surprised me. The ending was great and it made sense for every character. Episodes 7 from each season were fav episodes but after 9 that is now over both those 2. Episode 9 had me experiencing each emotion happy,angry, sad. I didn't know what was gonna happen and I'm glad I didn't. Also I'm pretty sure these characters will be back in the future. Everyone's story isn't over. I was sad about Jayce,Viktor, and Jinx but I was satisfied. Like idk what else i could ask for. Or what would of been better. I feel like at the core arcane is Vi and Jinx's story. Their story is probably done for now. But the rest of the characters no. Also personally for me all I truly wanted from season 2 of Arcane is for Vi and Jinx to fix their relationship and become sisters again. And they did and that's the main thing I wanted from this story. And it gave me that. My top 5 Vi Ekko Mel Silco Sevika Jinx moved up a lot for me after season 2 so she would be 6. My top 5 has been the same since season 1 I always loved Jayce and Viktor but they fell off a little after season 2

I think they showed Mel had powers at the end of season one when she glowed. Also I don't think she is a God just a mage. She still doesn't know her powers which is why the next show will most likely be about her and a lot of questions will be answered. But personally, I feel like after letting it process a couple days, and watching back the highlights, I'm really pleased with season 2 and how it ended. All the theories about Jinx being alive still are definitely not delusional. The voice actress for Jinx, Ella Purnell was asked in an interview "Is Jinx actually dead?" And she gasps dramatically then answered “Ummmmm....We don’t know” and shrugged. “We’re gonna leave that up to interpretation” She’s known for being terrible at keeping secrets and spoilers haha. She basically hinted at the fact that Jinx isn’t dead lol. The way she answered the question was super suspicious which makes me believe she’s alive!

There's 169 characters in league of legends why cant the next series be better if it has better characters? Many other popular characters like Lux, Ahri, Morgana, Katarina, Akali, Ashe etc that people love from the game.

I don’t think jinx is dead. You see cait looking at the schematics and there was an air duct or something. I bet last second Vander pushed her into, saving her from the blast. Plus the blip thingy and “the end” in a classic jinx font. I think she lived and “walked away” as silco said.

I agree with this! I will say, I had no idea there was only gonna be 2 seasons. So I was living under a rock 😂 I felt disappointed because I just wanted to know so much more. But I guess some of the point is, this is one story in a huge world. After watching it myself and then taking some time and then coming and watching this reaction, I appreciate it so much more.

Also I think we got information overload as far as powers and what not. But if you think about it that happens in every show, except it stays with the same characters, where as this is gonna be the same world. So whatever the next project is, we have so much more information of the world we are living in.
