I'm genuinely curious how you guys pick animes to watch because there have been a lot of anime that have been constantly recommended since basically the creation of the channel and haven't gotten reacted to yet and then sometimes you just decide to watch something completely out of the blue. Like you guys randomly finished Erased at some point?? When the hell did that happen and how was it decided? You guys really should communicate your juicy tier stuff better. Anyway I hope this show is good but its just a bit frustrating that you guys decide to fill the schedule with random stuff that the community hasn't voted for. If you really want to chase the YouTube views by reacting to something brand new at least put up a poll of which currently airing anime to watch.

Didn't expect sakamoto days reactions, but the manga is really good, and i can only pray it will get a good anime adaptation. It has some of the most creative/best choreography I've ever seen.

Is it a popular manga? I really don't know anything about it, only the MC was an assassin and now he is a family man. Never heard people talking about the manga either. I was considering watching just for the sake of it but I have no expectations. Let's see how it goes.

They've said before that currently running shows don't take over one of their slots. Watching Sakamoto days doesn't make a difference for their other shows. They wouldn't post their other content any faster regardless.

This manga is really popular and is supposed to be part of the next big 3 replacing Demon Slayer/JJK. The fights and choreography are absolutely stunning. The problem is that the story is kinda mid and I’m worried if the animation is able to pull off those amazing fight moments. I feel like without a goated animation studio, it’ll be unable to match the original charm :/

The manga is very good and it is still ongoing. It has like 196 chapters right now. I remember reading the manga and binging it in 3 days when it had like 150 chapters so I am really happy it got an anime adaptation finally. Glad you guys gave it a chance!

We took away the pinned schedule because we moved into other shows that weren’t part of that original schedule. We still upload on the same days and we’ve also explained that the last couple weeks have been crazy. We only take part in these “random shows” because they are newly releasing and we do it on our days off, so….. sorry that we’re giving you more 🤷‍♂️

Live airing shows that we choose to pick up dont take the spots of anything we are currently watching and we are almost always going to do a live release to a highly anticipated show because why would we not. The only show that always gets voted is the original patron voted show which is currently Mob. Nothing else gets voted. Sometimes we hold votes to see what people think but the only one that is concrete is the original anime. The live airing shows are ALL extra. And about the schedule, we made a post explaining why things are jumbled right now. It will be back to normal soon

The manga is definitely one of the best among the newer gen. The style, character designs, and comedy are what really stood out to me among the other mangas. Its really enjoyable and has just a great vibe to it, I hope the anime does well in adapting the rest of the story.

@Micah, this is why people have recommended time and time again that they post weekly schedules showing what show and episode(s) they plan to watch that week, so then “surprises” like this don’t happen. Lol. They’re going to continuously get new people and they’re not going to know what the Geks said or didn’t say randomly in a video or comment section to a video they likely have not even seen. Comments like this are going to continue to happen as long as they aren’t transparent on what’s going to be watched and when. It’s to be expected when you’re a channel of this size watching this many shows at once. It’s 100% good they have some variety but difficult to keep up with if they don’t have a schedule that people can reliably refer to.

Maybe they don't know much about this manga, or since the anime just started, the reactions are still uncertain. It seems like this happened because people aren't aware of the exact upload schedule. The reactions might be messy right now, but in the future, there could be more positive feedback about this work. I hope more episodes come out soon. I'm really looking forward to it!

Shins voice actor is Nobunaga Shimazaki. He voiced Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen, Suna from Haikyuu, young Shanks from One Piece, etc... I would say dont expect much from Sakamoto Days in terms of power and ability (and plot but thats just me) in a sense that its very ridiculous. Though I guess its kinda obvious. Manga is around 170 chapters right now. And anime will have 2 cours, so around 23 episodes with first cour having 11 eps.

I feel like the adaptation is not bad but it’s not great. A solid 7/10 which makes me sad since the manga is a 10/10. IMO The manga is the same level as Dandadan but the anime adaptation is obviously way worse as of now :/

I just heard that the composer of this show is the same as Haikyuu’s, Yuki Hayashi, so it should have very good scoring. It seems like Hayashi was introduced into the industry by Sawano the Goat.

I would say maybe more like an 8/10 adaptation but I haven't read much of the manga. The action scenes were pretty good, but as a whole I just felt like there was just an extra 10-20% in terms of quality that other top tier Shonen adaptations have that this one didn't.

I feel the same way, I knew as soon as the episode started that I was about to be disappointed. I'm an artist and huge animation nerd, and while its not the worst I've ever seen it does NOT live up to the source material. The animation had SO much potential with the level of amazing scenes, storyboarding and style that the manga has. Manga is a 9/10 for me but this episode was a 6/10. Just imagining what it could have been is hurting my heart a little bit.

Did they just stop watching the show based off what they heard? Did they record another reaction but they hated the show so much they didn’t want people to see their reaction to it? I don’t know but it fell off for most people, the animation and story declined heavily like half way through the season. So I’m not surprised if they just dropped it cold turkey.
