Its a little disappointing to see Vinland Saga always losing space every time. Its a shame that currently it seems to be on the bottom of the list of priorities. For me specially, since im only here for Vinland. Hope next week we get at least some 3 episodes

I'm really only excited for death note and Vinland saga and I'm a little sad about only a few episodes but I think it's better for the growth of their channel to reach more audiences. Plus with 4 series I don't know if they have time to record like 5 eps per show every week. I do hope they find out some sort of way to make a balance of some sort. Because vs, dn, and jjk are pretty lengthy series and I don't see them finishing them till like next year at this pace lol

I might give it a try but my issue with JJK, or at least first season of JJK, is that i dont like any of the characters, so I am not invested in the story. Firstly I thought that I have seen too many shonens already and i am tired of the formula, but i watched demon slayer after JJK and I loved it so Im not sure. My brother will probably force me to watch season 2 and finish it so I might change my opinion after :D

If your problem is that you’ve seen too many Shonens you should hate demon slayer. That’s as Shonen as it gets. Although I enjoy both series I can say with confidence I enjoy jjk much mods.

yes, thats why I no longer think that the shonens are issue, just JJK is not for me. Naruto is show where I fell in love with shonen anime, followed by Bleach and I just love the Villains in those shows (Akatsuki and Espada). Demon Slayers villains reminds me of that so much, such a cool design and interesting characters. In JJK I liked the white three-like curse but nothing else really grabbed me.

People like different shows for different reasons. I have a feeling that Studio Gek were led to believe that VS is like AoT and they went in expecting something quite similar, and are maybe a little confused about the lack of similarities. I think the audience hype ends up creating expectations which may not be met. VS is certainly slower than AoT, but the reason why most of us like it is because of the characters, their background, motivations, and how their actions shape and change them. It is a slow cooked show as someone already elaborated. But you have to really pay attention and keep track of the events, for the journey of the characters is the main essence of the show. The conversations reveal the layers lying beneath them, for they may not seem to be who they really are. The fights are interesting precisely because of the characters themselves. Just keep an open mind and see where the story takes you. In the end, you can judge for yourself whether it is similar to AoT or not, or whether you like it or not! The second half of the show definitely keeps getting more interesting with each episode.

Even in its genre it is far from being comparable to the real good shonens. Agreed, I enjoy JJK and I think for a new gen shonen its probably on the better side. Vinland is by far my favourite they are currently watching. I would love some classics as well (Neon Gen, CowboyB, Samurai Champloo, HxH).

Yeah, new gen shounen actually has some crazy good stuff. AoT could arguably be in there, then there's Vinland Saga, JJK, Chainsaw Man, Hell's Paradise, etc. I wouldn't be so harsh on Demon Slayer tho (even tho I dropped in like s1). Animation is a large reason we might choose to watch an anime over reading the manga, so if a show has great animation, that's a big thing even if it doesn't ultimately trump a great story (imo).

I completely agree!! My friends loved the manga so I watched the first ep when it got animated but was underwhelmed. I think for younger anime fans it’s like their mainstream shounen. I really think the boys should release another poll for underrated anime series that they should watch for their next batch.

I cannot agree with you more on this...I used to enjoy shounen too but maybe after we reach a certain age, they just seem very childish in general. The one shounen that will always stay in my heart is HxH, I think it really stands out from the rest, but others seem more of the same. Though many will not agree with this!

I enjoyed Demon Slayer and also like watching reactions of it. But can’t seem to get into JJK as much. Gojo is defs daddy but that’s as far as how I’ll remember it (as well as the banger ending track from ALI). Second season might change my mind, who knows.

Yeah. I feel like if they wanna see some just amazing stories, instead of dragged-out battles or light on plot shows, they should try some of the movies too like A Silent Voice, Your Name etc. That would be cool
