The funniest thing about the whole "It's a trolley problem" is, NOT doing anything is also a choice in the trolley problem. These people think they can wash their bloody, bloody hands just by abstaining. They can't. You live in the world. Fucking act like you do instead of running away in rough weather. It's all about posturing how much better they are than everyone else. Beating down everyone else to prop yourself up. There's so much shit like that-- and it's mostly the fascists who do it... and mostly the fascists who benefit. (And let's be real-- a lot of these people were committed non voters in 2020 and 2016. This is just their latest justification.)

I agree that I hate the democratic party, I am still voting for the least evil person down the ballot. Every single time. Here in Alaska, we have ranked choice voting. I'm voting to keep it that way. You can vote and still stand on business and say out loud at every opportunity that we aren't doing enough but at least make life suck less for the most people. What I'm complaining about is valid though. What I'm tired of being told to vote for people and then being told to shut up when I predict the future. That the democratic party is going to betray the working class over and over and over again. I'm tired of being right. I'm tired of pointing out that the rich and violent are going to continue to hurt us. I'm also going to continue to do my part. What I'm not going to do is lie and say that one party is bad and the other is good. I'm going to say that one is evil and the other has consistently gotten into power and then screwed us over because their interest isn't aligned with the working class or with women or with children or with minorities. So stop taking a nuanced discussion and boiling it down to something it isn't. Sure, some people are catching onto the grift and tapping out, and can you blame them? When can we stop blaming people for noticing a trend of being sold lies and acting accordingly? People are tired of being lied to! So yes. I'm voting. But I'm not going to sit here and be told how great the democratic party is. Because the bar is in hell. Being compared to literal monsters doesn't make you awesome. They had the chance time and time again to deliver and chose not to. They chose their decorum and their donors and their money over the people and I'm not going to sit here and have mostly men tell me they did their best to protect my reproductive rights. No you didn't.

Ranked Choice: YES!! I attempted to vote in a Republican primary because there was no Democrat running. One Republican sucked less than the other one. I was told, "Sorry, you can't vote this time." Why?! Every voter should be able to choose the candidates they feel best serve their interests, period. It's not a Republican/Democratic problem, it's a systemic problem.

Voting is like wiping your ass, you do because you have to.

Politics is a industry that regulates itself, and comes with all the associated problems. Just like Boeing.

You're right, it's not "bad" and "good," but it is relative, one party is better for society, even if it is useless. They're like the difference between a malignant tumor and a benign tumor. Both are tumors, but one will kill you.

Our system of governance must be corrected or it will face eventual collapse, or worse, produce a fascist regime before that ultimately leads to its doom. We fix it, which is a lot of hard work and sausage making, or it breaks. There is no self correction about it, except for Newtonian or Darwinian type corrections. You don't want those.
