In regards to your modem trouble. Don't let Comcast rent you a modem. Just buy the correct one on Amazon. If you could buy it locally at a Walmart, do that but make sure you keep the receipt. After being a customer for over 15 years and owning two modems, Comcast sent me a bill informing me I owed rental fees on the modem. Apparently they do this a lot "by mistake". Every few years they switch their database software and they fail to record the "Customer provides his own equipment" bit or something. Luckily I bought my modem on Amazon so I had proof but it took months of back and forth with them saying "Our records show it's our modem and as a gesture of goodwill, we won't charge you past rental fees and late fees". Just buy your own modem. It pays for itself in a year.

Also, if you accept a Comcast modem, they might give you one with WIFI built-in, which you don't want because they will configure it to act as a public wifi access spot (for Comcast customers).

(Bozo was on WGN which was a "superstation" so we got to see that across the country along with the Empire and Lincoln carpet commercial jungles. But "Suzie Snowflake," and "Hardrock, Coco and Joe" not so much thank the friggin lord because when my NWI wife showed those too me I freaked out.)
