I have never understood the whole pulling the chair out thing. I've seen it done, he said it here, but what is the point of it?

I always do it for my wife when we go out to dinner and I always saw it as a way to show her that I want to make sure she’s comfortable and situated before I sit down. She’s the number one priority. But I was also taught to practice everything he mentioned in this recording and I do a every chance I get and much like the chair thing I want my wife to know that I will always go out of my way to make sure she is taken care of.
