Tom, your reading of this book is commendable and truly enjoyable. This chapter presents the argument that shook me from my teenaged dogmatic belief in the Christian bible and faith so many years ago. It was when I asked myself how I could convince someone that believed in another god to change their minds (and believe in my god) that I saw the fundamental problem that Carl explores in this chapter.
