Japanese Minis: The Kappa! (Patreon)

Hello friends! Jen and I are now in Nagoya after a lovely few days in Kyoto. Its a busier town than Kyoto but still a pretty cool place to visit. I had a little time to do some more modeling last night and was able to finish the Kappa!

The Kappa, also known as a river boy, is a troublesome being if your not careful. It likes sumo wrestling, and can be reasoned with so long as you're respectful. Don't get in the water with it though.. for ... reasons :/ And if you DO have to fight it try to spill the water in his head cap. That'll weaken him.

I made him in a rather friendly pose, but he's rigged if you wanna make something more aggressive. Full files are in Misc Patron Requests - K. For FDM printing I recommend printing it on its back with the spear pointed upward. For resin printing the usual presupported file is up :)

Next up I'm going to work on a Tanuki! I love seeing these cute little guys all over Japan haha. Stay tuned!
