Hello friends! Today I had some fun making a pretty wild request. I first started with a Tortoise, which is a pretty great creature for your druids to have around as a pretty dope tanking option. But then the request was next and it was BATTLE TORTOISE, the largest mini that I've ever made.

This can house two medium sized creatures behind each harpoon turret and one at the top observation post. The harpoons are separate stl's so its easier to print, as is the spy glass on top.  It can be printed as one piece in a large enough FDM printer. And if... for some reason..  you want to print this in resin, which I don't recommend, here is a tutorial on how to split it up.

Full files are in Appendix A - Misc Creatures. You can find them here too: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/58810-battle-tortoise-giant-tortoise

Onto the next challenge!

Hi, new subscriber and I watched the video this morning which was great. During it you mentioned that you use an older version of Blender and as a beginner I wondered if you would recommend going with an older version or starting with the newer version. If the former, could ai ask which version you are using? Keep up the fantastic work and you are an incredible talent and inspiration for so many people. Cheers, Teddy from Australia

I use 2.79. You can learn2.9 and you'd still be able to make the same models as you could in 1.0 :)

Many thanks for your help and I look forward to building my first model when my resin printer arrives tomorrow 😀. Finding you via Duck Dick Go was a very serendipitous moment for my daughter and I, as we both live D&D and wanted to introduce more miniatures into our gameplay. Take care and have an awesome weekend coming up. Warmest from Brissie

What could I do to cajole you into splitting for resin? :)
