Jeez this is late! Lol what are you doing up?? And I'm gonna have to give this a listen on my way to and from work tomorrow (today? Yea today) Ok, editing this since I got to listen to it, may miss some things, only got 2.5 hours of sleep last night, and 3 hours the night before, so now that I'm home and relaxing, my mind is all... weird... and wobbly... if that makes sense.. but the way the mic sounds is great like always! ^_^ I honestly hadn't noticed any issues myself... lol and lol funny thing... a regular in another ASMRtist's discord I'm in JUST got the brand of sacrifice tattoo, I myself want to get a scarab tattoo on my shoulder to honor my mom Aw man, yea, I need to start buying physical copies of things, especially with anime, especially since only one or two companies now hold the licenses, and ever since Sony acquired Crunchyroll and axed Funimation, so many animes are dropping left and right, series I never completed? gone, no legal way to watch it in the US, and good luck buying a physical copy, it's almost as if they're wanting us to hoist the ol Jolly Rodger.. And oh man!!! I haven't seen Bludgeoning Angel in so long!! you brought back memories with that!! and I now want to go and rewatch all of the original Pokemon just for nostalgias sake.. I wonder just how long it'd take to watch every single episode of every single series.. As for the book, honestly, I can't say I've ever even heard of that book... but I may have to give it a listen with your recommendation! Also, the sketches look great! Ok, there we go, I'm sure I missed something, but I am so very tired right now... lol

The sketchs look great. I’m happy to be your guinea pig free relaxation if you ask me. The triggers sound a little bit more even and the ear muffs definitely cut down on the white noise. I actually saw a clip of bludgeoning angel Dokuro chan and added it to my watch list like 2 days ago I did not watch anime growing up something I now regret but now that I do I’ve gone back and watched bunch of older anime’s from the 2000s era and I definitely see why you like it so much it’s very endearing and i definitely enjoy it myself. Watching and playing every Pokémon video game and episode honestly sounds really fun I’ve only watched the older seasons of the anime and played a couple of the games mostly heart gold I played that one a ton. Hope your new years is going well mine has is going ok I’ve had some car issues and more denied job applications but my fitness regimen is doing good and overall I’m happy at the moment.

First off, let me apologize for this fucking essay here. I kinda just tapped along as I listened and uh, well... Didn't realize how much it was until it was kinda too late. >.> God, I feel your pain with the mic. Audio settings have been the bane of my existence, and I respect the hell out of the work it takes to actually properly edit videos. xD It took me basically three whole streams to get my audio mixer dialed in, and even then I feel like I'm always having to fight with little quirks and settings anytime something patches or changes... And I still can't figure out how to make Vtube Studio commit to a truce with my glasses. I don't *really* need them, as they're for light filtering/eye fatigue, but damn does the facial tracking on my model just go full hostility when I wear them. u.u I can't even imagine the precise work that must go into something as sensitive as ASMR. I really am wholeheartedly impressed by the quality and care of your work. Thank you. Listening to your fuwafuwa, it sounds pretty even now! (Though I am basically deaf in my left ear sooo...? xD) I think, when you talk about ambient sound/white noise, it really depends on what you're going for. Like you said, setting dependent, sometimes that little bit of background actually adds to the authenticity. :3 Thanks for the tip about that discset! I will be jumping on that asap. Much appreciated~ ♡ You should definitely join us with the Brand. It's such a fun thing to see on other people, you wouldn't believe how many random conversations mine has started at the gym. (Mine is on the underside of my forearm, since Military tattoo regs make anywhere near the neck a no-no zone. xD) I recognized our spiked club angel immediately from your sketch, lmfao. The tapping seemed good to me, and your voice is clear from both sides even when you swap. The nostalgia of certain shows can be so powerful! Honestly. As the medium has developed, my taste in style has opened up a lot and I definitely appreciate the high quality and super clean animation of a lot of newer works (Frieren went right to the favourites list, for example) but I still have that deep love for shows that won my heart as a young kitten. Rurouni Kenshin, Spriggan, Jin-Roh, Claymore, Berserk... And dare I admit that Madoka Magica is still effectively one of my favourite anime of all time. But see, even that range of shows covers a fair range of styles! At the end of the day, the visuals that make you happy are the ones you should stick with and develop. Like you said; You can do what you want! :3 Oh shit, card abuse?! Haha~ I hope there's no Glaceons in there. Them's fighting conditions. You're absolutely right about the thresholds towards self improvement. Everyone can take control of their lives and exercise their agency in a positive way, even if it starts small. Never be afraid to seize the initiative, don't put things off or wait for that 'perfect moment', it never comes. There will always be one thing or another in the way, and that's alright~ Stand up anyway. Alicats, Fighto! Ganbatte! Good luck and Godspeed on your Pokemon goals, wowowow. That's a hell of a marathon. All shows and all games?! You're gunna be a busy Trainer. The Sandshrew gym! That episode slapped. I did like the fact that, despite having Ash become disgruntled with his 'rough' methods, they actually showed that AJ's pokemon loved and trusted him. It was nice to see the show actually give a fair analysis of the fact that a bit of tough love and hard training aren't inherently bad, and that AJ's goals aligned with Sandshrew's. They wanted to fight and grow, and guess what, blood is often the price of power. Put that harness on and "GIT BACK IN THA' WATER!" *whip crack* I'm familiar with the title, but regret to admit I have never read it myself. Granted despite my introverted nature I am not particularly wallflowery? Idk. I tend to fall in the camp of "socially capable, but just not interested most of the time"... But you're making it sound like there's more depth there than that, so maybe I'll have to give it a look. After all a recommendation from you is serious business~ And no no, you be that person. You tell 'em. Books over movies let's goooooooo! Thanks for the ramble and apologies again for the long-ass response. Being nocturnal both on and off duty often leaves me with long empty hours amongst the void. I'll.. Try to show more restraint in the future. x3

Oh I wont, don't you worry~ :3 **Spoilers below, I guess? xD** Homura is the MVP, nomatter how the show tries to sneakily twist the frame to make you think otherwise. I will forever stand firmly rooted in the "Homura did nothing wrong." camp. :p There's so much about the deep lore that strains my heart in such a raw way. The idea of her fighting so hard for so long, knowing that everything is on her shoulders. That nomatter how long it takes, nomatter how painful it is, nomatter how tired, miserable, and alone she may be, she has to keep pushing forward; Because the moment she quits, the moment she can't endure it any longer, everything is for nothing. She presses on so desperately and faithfully, giving everything she has despite being unappreciated or even hated for her efforts. She kills witches, friends, and loved ones alike, carrying the weight of those memories alone. She knows each of the quartet better than they know themselves, but still can't save them. For *twelve years* give or take a few loops, she endures that battle alone. It kills me. I want so badly to see her win. For her to finally be given some semblance of a reward for all of her struggling-- But... ... At the end of the day, Madoka may be the heroine. Her genuine purity will overtake the cycle... But she never could have stayed so spotless and undimmed without the one fighting in the shadows. I will always, always, always advocate for Homura. xD

Happy New Year to you Ali. I remember being exposed to Dokuro-Chan in highschool along with Hetalia; Dokuro wasn't quite my taste in anime but it certainly leaves an impression XD. You make a good point about owning Blu-Rays of anime you like, because even with pirate sites they may not have the best quality (especially old anime) or they may not be available at all or in full (Haibane Renmei and Lain come to mind for me). Best of luck to you binging the Pokemon anime in full. I wanna say I was the one that brought it up cause I did start my binge back in 2020 due to the Sword & Shield discussions at the time. I will warn you though that the anime has what I call the "meandering the plot" issue, and I think in Indigo League it happens around Ash trying to get to Fushia up to return to Viridian. Best of luck in accomplishing your goals for this year. I agree you don't have to wait for a special time to start something you think will be beneficial to you or what you want, although I think setting goals at this time is good for time stamping in a way.

Lol the last couple of times you posted I was waking up at nearly that exact time from a nightmare. At least I got to listen to this one pretty early :P Buying physical copies of things you like is great advice. I've been rewatching Lain recently and I couldn't find it anywhere. Eventually I found a pretty useful index site that redirects me towards third party sites with anime, manga, visual novels, and some more mature things lol I always try to go about things the 'legal' way, but I think piracy is a sign of a failing market. All these apps don't give a shit about the licenses or their customers. A lot of third party sites have been getting shut down lately too; it's sad because soon there might not be a place where these shows can be found. All art should be preserved. The brand of sacrifice tattoo would be pretty badass. I like tattoos, unfortunately I don't have any lol I've always wanted to get one. I have plenty of friends that say it's kind of addicting, they've all gone back for another one pretty quick. There's a few things I would want, the obvious one would be a Lord or the rings one, the one ring inscription going around my right arm/bicep. The other one I would want is probably a Term mark from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 somewhere on my left forearm. I fucking love Xenoblade. I'm not much of a cryer but Xeno2 and 3 have both made me cry pretty badly lol. If you haven't had the pleasure of playing the greatest Nintendo IP, the Term mark is basically a tattoo that tells you how much time you have left to live. I'm not sure where or what I would want the third one to be, but I think it would be Wheel of Time related because I was in a pretty bad spot when I was reading it and some parts really helped me out, so it's something that means a lot to me. I totally did notice the eyes on the hobbit were different! It flows so well with your drawing, it honestly kinda feels like a natural evolution of it, like you're taking the next step in a way. It's really cool to see you experimenting a bit and keep working on your art style. Hopefully we can see more in the future! And even if it doesn't become part of your style, the experimentation is awesome. I first got into ASMR maybe 6 years ago? Some of the first videos I would watch were Card magic videos (I have no fucking clue why I was looking this up lol) I love the sound of cards being shuffled around. Eventually, that turned into card pack openings and what not. Somehow card magic videos turned into monster girl roleplays, talk about a rabbit hole :P I know we kinda already talked about New Years resolutions but I'm glad you're bringing them up again. You're right, we are all capable of making positive changes in our life at any point. Sometimes some of us can falter or just need someone to give us a reminder and a gentle push. I love the pokemon goal, you're nuts lol I've seen a ton of the pokemon anime, but never all of it. I've had this same thought before, I just never acted on it... Maybe I'm nuts too. Personally, I think that the XY and XYZ anime is actually pretty good. I recommend watching the sub of that one, the sound and music design is so different and elevates the entire experience. One of my pokemon goals has been to complete the Pokedex in every generation. Gen3 and 4 have been a thorn at my side for like the last 3 years, I'm finally at the home stretch of finishing a Gen4 living Dex. After this, the rest of the games will be a breeze. I wish I could post screenshots here, I have so many Pokedex diplomas. I want to print them out one day and hang them up next to my school ones lmao Books and stories in general can mean a lot to people. I can tell it's truly special to you the way your voice kinda changed a little. Sometimes the right story comes into your life at the right time. I'm normally pretty cheery, even when things are bad. When shit is really bad, sometimes thinking about the stories and characters I love help push me forward. Over the years I've turned into a "the book was better" snop too :P Always be that person, Ali. Whether it's in person or the rambles, it's always nicer to hear about what a person truly likes and why they like it. Edit: Shit. I forgot to bring up the quality of the ASMR since you were experimenting with the covers. I thought it sounded a bit soft, I really had to crank the volume on my headphones.

Oh I agree lol The revelation that Homura did so much in order to save someone she loved is quite beautiful. Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but the show makes it hard not to cheer for her :P I'm very excited to see how they handle the story since the new movie will be coming out this year. I might have to trick a friend or two to come watch it in theatres with me haha

Damn, didn't expect the post to be at night, what are you doing, staying up late, because I already do that anyway :P Dokuro Art by far is my favorite out of the three. It gives me the stereotypical bat of "Lucille" along with the look of a tsundere character from ZZZ(Lucy). Also, I've got some big news as well. I'm going on a trip Friday to head to a festival over there from one of my relatives is gonna happen. You bringing up the ear sensitivity issue just made me double check and realise that my right side headphone has been broken for weeks... guess this guinea pig was not ready for the guinea pigening. That solved the triggers sounded great (odly enough they seem to sound clearer than your voice in the video, but i might just be tripping) Thanks for the vibes and all (^m^)

I've actually been starting my own Pokémon journey, I just finished Pokémon yellow. I finally managed to get my favorite Pokémon as well, that's right the legendary Ditto. I'm also trying to find a tcg that I can get into, but most of the big ones have been around so long that it feels pointless to start now. I know it's not a very hot take but 1997 Berserk is my favorite on screen Berserk. I don't feel like anything else really comes close to it. I know you said you hadn't finished it and I wont spoil it but there is something they cut out that bugs me to no end. Still it's a great rendition, and always remember... Put your grasses on.

I ended up staying up so I took advantage and posted :P I’ve been wanting to get another tattoo for a while now but wanted things to calm down first (moving, getting a place, etc.) So now that it’s settling down I thought it would be a good time to consider one ^_^ I’ve always been the type of person to enjoy physical copies of things. You never know what may happen and there’s nothing more upsetting than not being able to watch a series that we so comfortably got used to always being around. That’s why if I really like an anime I try to buy it just in case! As for Pokemon, I know it’s definitely going to take a while haha! I do pride myself on being a person that’s watched One Piece though so if I can do that I can do Pokemon too! >:) I’m glad you enjoyed the ramble though and hope you were able to get some sleep!

Those things aren’t cheap so if I could fix the issue myself I definitely wanted to do everything I could first haha! Oh man, soul silver/heart gold are such sentimental pokemon games for me. Where do you stream if you don’t mind me asking? And do you mainly play games or do other things? I’ll be sure to post a pic when/if I get it! :P I’ve been wanting to get a new tattoo for a while so I’ll have to see about setting up an appointment at some point. I did get a tattoo by a girl here a few years back so I’d love if she was still doing them! I gotta agree with Moy here too- Madoka Magica is a FANTASTIC series. I love it so much ❤️ The old anime styles will probably always be my favorite but I definitely enjoy the new stuff too. Frieren is a perfect example of that! The artstyle and animation were very unique and I really enjoyed it ^_^ What’s so funny about Ash is that he threw a tantrum about AJ’s tough training methods but then like 10 episodes later he was willing to eliminate some tentacool simply for money 😂 The contradictions and jokes/puns of old series are really funny and I’m loving it! I think Perks of Being a Wallflower is a story that almost everyone can enjoy. It definitely falls into that category of overall just good movie/book. Kinda like you never hear anyone say Forrest Gump is bad, ya know? XD It’s just a wholesome/human thing I think we can all appreciate.

Oh man, I remember Hetalia. I loved the dynamic of Germany and Italy in that anime 😂 Another anime that’s hard to find on a streaming service is the first FLCL. They have the newer ones but not the original. For that reason I’ll probably be buying the blue ray of that too! It’s definitely worth it to get them if you can. As for Pokemon I was referring to you! :D ❤️ I still remember when you said you watched them all and I was like, “Damn, that’s awesome!” I can see what you mean though. I had a suspicion that there were probably going to be moments in the anime like that.

Exactly, I 100% agree! I normally don’t like the idea of watching things on “totally legal places” either but sometimes it’s unavoidable. I can understand physical things being unavailable after so long (manga, card, etc.) but when it comes to visual entertainment I think they should definitely be preserved and easier to find. Maybe one day in a perfect world. We can only hope 🙏 I can confirm that tattoos are definitely addicting lol. Once you get one you WILL want more. Money and time have prevented me but now that things are settling down I’d like to get back to getting a couple more at least ^_^ I also want a LoTR tattoo. I was thinking about the inscription around my ankle or maybe a cute silhouette of the fellowship walking :3 I’ve never played Xenoblade but I think someone else may have mentioned it to me at one point! I’ll have to check them out sometime because if I remember correctly the music/soundtrack of the games are really good ✨ I appreciate the comment on the art style, thank you! :D I’m having a ton of fun playing around with it so it means a lot you like it so far. Oh no, I’m sorry about the headphones Thok 😭 I also need to buy myself some new ones. I know it may be a little silly but when you wear glasses 24/7 finding a set of headphones that fit comfortably can be very tedious. Hey, if you get ditto in a way you kinda have all the pokemon lol :P You know what’s sick as hell though? A shiny ditto. That way when it transforms it will be a shiny of whatever pokemon you’re battling! ✨ As for TCGs, I feel you on a lot of them being around for so long. But hey, let me just say that I took a REALLY long break from collecting pokemon cards and got back into it around the sun/moon era. Most TCGs come out in sets so you don’t have to feel behind since they are played in that block if that makes sense. It’s never too late Skelly. If they seem fun or interesting you should give it a shot! If you’re looking for a somewhat newer TCG though, Shadowverse, Union Arena and Flesh and Blood may be something you can check out :) I’ve only read the Berserk manga and I’ve already noticed some differences between that and the anime. I remember catching some of it years ago but not enough to say I watched it in full. I’m curious how it’s going to play out though! I love the old anime style ^_^

Haha~ Well, thank you (And you too, Moy) for that kindness. I just don't want to impose too much is all-- I already am quite impressed by the level of attentiveness you show to your members/audience. Currently I do pretty much everything via Youtube live! Though to be blunt I'm not really far enough along for it to actually matter. I could go anywhere. xD But-- I decided on Youtube initially for a split reasoning, namely that; A. Twitch has been pissing me off with poor choices regarding their platform. B. Youtube makes the management of VODs/Clips and the like much simpler for an amateur like me. :3 At the moment I have primarily done longform Let's Plays with a fair deal of yapping. In the future I'd like to branch out in a few directions, but for now I'm still basically in my 'practice stage'. I'm not great with the software, notoriously bad with my audio mixer, and basically just having fun streaming for a small handful of friends. It's crazy how nervous it can still make me though, I swear. Like... I can go to work and take point in a stack to breach without a second thought, but I have to sit in my chair and center myself for 15 minutes before booting OBS? Sheesh. Still, I love the Vtubing medium and am enjoying interacting with it however casually. :3 Im sure all the Alicats will be eager to see your Brand once it's in effect! Don't rush into it though. Since you're already part of the tattoo culture i'm sure you know, but seriously take your time with studios and artists. Even with simple things like static symbols and linework. Establishing a rapport with someone you like is great if you're in one place long enough to do it. I'm quickly approaching the juncture where I could almost say I have more tattoo than skin, within the limits my work allows, (Which funnily enough is almost Yakuza rules lmao, since I have to be able to wear my service blues without letting any ink be visible.) and I've had probably 80% of my work done by the same Artist. Since the first time I came to see him, he's become a great friend to me and I've become his portfolio. Hahaha~ ♡ So many good, distinct artstyles. I love when I can immediately tell what something is from purely by visual alone. Madoka Magica is a perfect example, but even things like Fire Emblem or Arknights. I can't even count how many times i've stumbled over character art for one of those and without knowing them yet, been able to say "Ah yeah, that's XYZ". I think that distinction is a big mark of authenticity when it comes to individual design. (For what it's worth, I always know your art is yours at a glance, too. :3) Another of my personal favourites with a more unique animation, particularly in the background canvases, is Ashes of Grimgar/Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. ...To be fair, the Tentacool were kinda being a menace. I love how that episode almost becomes a Kaiju scene when Tentacruel comes to clean up. The original show was so good, honestly. I have really fond memories of watching random episodes of it every morning, cuz they ran on TV around the same time I would be getting prepped for school. xD I get where you're coming from, yeah. Certain depictions of the human condition can strike a ground where, as long as someone isn't in a place where they're closing themselves off, anyone can draw a little from it. Everyone is unique, but you learn the further you go that many of us are far more similar than we want to think~

Only if you don’t mind sharing that of course ❤️ It really does mean a lot that you can recognize my art! Finding a style has definitely been a journey for me (and continues to be), so when others say they can tell I drew something it really does make me feel good- I really do appreciate it 😊 I don’t have many tattoos yet and thankfully the only one I don’t like anymore is the first one I got (surprise, surprise lol). I don’t regret getting it but wish it was something that looked better. I’ve been thinking about getting it covered up with something else. Same meaning behind it just better design! :) I do 100% agree with making sure the artist for a tattoo is a good fit though. The artist who did my Mimikyu tattoo was so nice and chill, and the tattoo still looks so fresh and clean! I’m hoping they are still around doing work so fingers crossed ✨

Yes and no? :3 Though, I am *also* Shadowkitty on youtube, the moniker for my streaming channel is KonekoKage! I wanted at least a little separation between my everyday personal account and all the other stuff I use for streams. Thus far I've been sticking pretty well to my little goal of accomplishing one streaming session a week for now, but I also have no idea what I'm doing half the time. Everyone is always welcome to come by! Just uh.. Please be patient with me, I am.. ...A mess? xD Finding that signature 'look' is one of the true struggles haha~ Still, maybe it's partially because I see your work regularly, but I feel like I always know it's you. Particularly when it's coloured. You have a really telling way of doing your shading that always stands out visually to me, I wish I had the artistic knowledge and vernacular to properly describe what I mean. At my totally instinctive, untrained amateur level, I usually say that I'm drawn to a sort of 'softness' when it comes to characters/art/animations. Many of your pieces hit this nail right on the head for me. ❤️ Ahh, it's always the first one, eh? :p That's alright! It's the meaning that's important, and you seem to have that on lock. Of course I'm not coming after people who pursue aesthetic based tattoos, but that's never been the intention I would advocate for. I will also cross my fingers for your good fortune with your artists. :3 Does your Mimikyu (Cute!) have colour? Due to the style and nature of my pieces, I've done everything in pure black with the exception of my Brand of Sacrifice; which I edged with small details of red to give the impression of it being cut/raw even after it healed. But I've seen some strong yellow inks look and last really good! It's so fun to see the unique choices people make with their ink.

Very cool! I’ve been really busy lately with work and trying to keep a healthy schedule with things but if I happen to see you streaming I’ll try and stop by ^_^ I love watching people play games and what not so it makes me sad that I haven’t been able to do it much lately. Hopefully that can change though! As for my Mimikyu tattoo, he’s black and white with just a bit of color as an outline to make him pop. I prefer black with my tattoos but color is so tempting! But if I ever were to get a sleeve I’d definitely want it in black :P

I wish I had something more constructive to say than just “sounds good” but I genuinely don’t really hear anything wrong with the audio. Only thing I could think of is that the water bottle sounds were a little quiet, maybe getting closer to the mic for those would help that? I only know Bludgeoning Angel in name, saw it in a bookstore and thought the art was cute but that’s the extent of my familiarity with it

Keeping control of good habits and a healthy balance is a hell of a never ending journey, but you can do it! I believe in you. (And in you, Alicats.) :3 Great choice. Classic black is honestly the way to go. :p All the new fancy colours are certainly impressive, but there's just... A very raw sense of *time*, and almost lineage, in the ever humble black~
