Happy Wednesday everyone- halfway to Friday! I hope you are all doing well. I'm feeling pretty good since I've finished all my audio recordings this week, all of which were very fun! This Friday's youtube video will be a story theme request by one of you! :D You all had some really cool ideas so I'm really looking forward to writing more of them in the weeks to come.

So this week I thought I would ask this: Coolest place you've visited or want to visit?

I would say the coolest place I've visited is New Orleans. I really enjoyed sightseeing and seeing all the cool stuff there. Naturally I had to stay in a "haunted" hotel :P As for where I'd like to visit someday- Japan of course!

The coolest place I visited had to be Washington DC way back in Jr High as a special summer school trip. It was awesome getting to see all the monuments, the Declaration of Independence, seeing the memorials, etc…! For me I would love to go to see Japan too! I want to see the giant Gundam and visit a cat cafe!!!

Look forward to the future stories. One of the coolest places I visited was the town of Nikko while I was in Japan. I visited during the fall, and the general atmosphere was very fitting. I got to spend the night at a hotel with natural hot springs, and the following morning visited a special marshland that was dubbed the battlefield of the gods.

I don't get to travel often it's actually rare I get the opportunity to do so but the coolest place I've got to visit is red wood national forest and the little town I stayed at which was eureka. As for place I'd want to visit hmmm kinda hard since I have alot 😭 but I think first on my list would be japan or Alaska

This week has really been dragging on, the weekend can't come fast enough... Coolest place I've ever had the privilege of visiting was Heron Island for a university research trip. We got to swim through beautiful coral reefs and there's even an old ww2 shipwreck you can explore. Japan is definitely high on my travel list but I'm also planning to go to Iceland one day.

Wow New Orleans! That’s crazy because it’s both so close to me yet I’ve only driven through there once or twice. I haven’t traveled the country much, but when I was younger my family always went to Orlando, much fun. There’s So much out there to explore even just here in this state!

The coolest place I have visited is a place called Whittier in Alaska. However the actual town is pretty normal, but to get to it you have to drive through a 2.5 mile long tunnel that is one way and a claustrophobic's nightmare lol. It's called the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel if you want to look up pictures of what it looks like in the inside. For places I want to go to; Hamburg, Germany seems really nice from what my dad has told me when he went there for business and in general I already wanted to go to Germany. Japan also seems nice but I'm not so sure my height would be compatible for all things lol.

I think the coolest place I’ve visited was the Grand Canyon. It was just so awe-inspiringly vast and I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing it the first time. Berlin was awesome too, absolutely beautiful city and the Christmas markets were just so fun and cute as hell. But my bias will always be for natural wonders so the Grand Canyon takes the cake for me. As for places I’d love to visit, the Acropolis of Athens is definitely top of my bucket list.

I've never left Europe before, but I really hope to do so before my 30s. Can't decide on the #1 coolest place, so I'll list a couple of honorable mentions... Rhandirmwyn, Wales - the first time I ever shot the Milky Way. Austria - the Alps are just some of Earth's most beautiful sights. And this really cool aviation museum in Germany 'Technik Museum Speyer'. As for places I want to visit; Iceland, any state in the US (feel free to drop recommendations for natural sight-seeing/camping/stargazing), the Atacama desert in Chile. And for a little more ambition; I would love a tour of Antarctica. I've never been to a polar region or a desert - I wish to see both in my life someday. I somewhat agree with the rest of you on Japan, but I have this fear of feeling severely out of place in a country like that. Like, everything about that country seems so harmonious and in and of itself. For that reason, it's admirable but also kinda of intimidating. Is that just me? XD

That is really cool! I bet that was a lot of fun to get to see all the cool sights. I've never been there myself, but I'd love to see it sometime :) And it's a must to go to a cafe while in Japan- I hope to do that myself too!

Wow, that's so awesome! I can only imagine how beautiful that was, especially in the fall which is one of my favorite times of the year. I'd love to go to a hot spring, I bet that was really relaxing ^_^

Kai Zomei

Indeed it was beautiful. So many colors and still quite mild. Hot springs are a great and relaxing time

I haven't traveled very many places either so I can relate! I bet the national forest was very pretty. I always loved walking and exploring in the woods growing up ^_^ I imagine Alaska is very nice too. The pictures and videos I've seen of it look like a relaxing place to visit.

I'm sorry to hear about your week, I hope you have an amazing weekend to make up for it! I had never heard of Heron Island before, so I looked up some pictures and my God, that place looks beautiful. Is the water really that clear and blue in real life? I can only imagine how nice it was to swim through the reefs and see the ship- so cool!

I've been to Orlando before as a kid to go to Disney World! :D It was many years ago but I remember it being a lot of fun. I'd love to visit New Orleans again. I fell in love with the sights and atmosphere. Not to mention the food- just thinking about it is making me hungry xD

alichuart

Oh God...I looked up that tunnel and I'm not sure I'd enjoy that ride haha! I'm already claustrophobic as it is and that seems really tiny xD Maybe if I just keep my eyes closed the whole time lol. I didn't mention this in my original post, but Germany is another big one for me! My Grandpa is actually from there and being close to him as a kid I always wanted to know what it was like. I still remember eating chocolates and sweets sent from there growing up and damn were they good lol.

alichuart

I'm sure the Grand Canyon is a beautiful sight to see for sure! I'd love to see it myself sometime. The pictures alone are breathtaking, I can only imagine what it's like in real life. I bet Athens is amazing too. It would be really cool to see old buildings and structures. Be sure to take lots of pictures when you visit! :D

Similar to your post I've never left America and I am for sure dedicated on doing that! I may be immortal, but I want to do so soon haha! I think all the places you've mentioned sound really cool. I'd love to visit Germany also since my Grandpa was from there. I don't think you're alone in feeling that way about visiting Japan! I've had some friends say similar things. Let's see...as for states in the US...I don't think you can go wrong sightseeing in California. There's all types of beautiful sights and I'm sure there's tons of places to go camping and stargazing :) Since I'm from the south though, I feel I have to recommend Virginia and the Carolinas.

Artilleries

Funny you mention California, I actually had my eyes on Death Valley for a while. The Carolinas looks interesting too. Yeah, I've read from your other replies here that you have some ancestry from Germany. That's awesome! (and they do indeed have goood chocolate! 😛) Life is short, I hope I can make it before I die. Yes, I know you have all the time in the universe to explore the entire 510.1 million km² of the Earths surface if you wanted to. No need to rub it in my face. 😤 😂 pmsl I forgot to say, Have a good day!

JokermanTalon

I'm not really claustrophobic but I don't enjoy caves so even for me it was a little unnerving. You would have to keep your eyes closed for awhile if you do that, I think it takes around 10 minutes go through all of it. My family as a whole, on both sides, is from Germany which is why I've wanted to go. However I never had any immediate German family members. My dad would bring back some chocolate from business trips though so I also got some and it is really good. I bought a box of various German chocolate around a year ago and had it shipped to me cause I wanted some so bad

codytachi

It really is stunning! The most memorable part of that trip actually wasn't the reefs or the wreck, but one day they took us far offshore to swim in the open ocean. I don't know how deep the water was at that point, but it's' such a surreal experience to look beneath the water and see nothing but dark blue below you.

alichuart

Random reply here but I had to look up what you meant by "pmsl" xD I had no idea that was another way of saying lol. I thought that was really cool haha!
