A Personal Goodbye: Thank You for Everything Ok, folks, itâs time to be completely honest, first with myself and, of course, with you. This message isnât easy to write, but itâs necessary. Iâve been postponing this decision for a long time, thinking, doubting, under personal pressure, and today, I can finally put into words what Iâm feeling. More than frustration (although that personal pressure is always there), what really weighs on me is the lack of time. My time is finite, just like anyone elseâs, and Iâm still a human who needs to balance my life. This hobby, at least at the level I wanted to give it to others through paid content, consumes too much time, and sadly, that time overlaps with my downtimeâmy days off: one and a half, since I work 6 days a week, one of which is a half-day. The problem is not the hobby itself, but the pressure to meet high standards to ensure that those who access my content feel itâs worth every penny they pay. That goal has led me to over-exert myself to the point of constantly feeling in debt to myself and to you. And thatâs begun to affect how I enjoy my free time and my life in general. If I keep going like this, I feel like I wonât reach a good outcome. I donât want to fall back into the trap of feeling incompetent because I know where that can lead me. Some time ago, I struggled with depression after very hard personal losses: the death of my uncle, academic problems associated with not being able to continue my studies due to major issues, debts, family problems, financial struggles⊠and, well, although it sounds like a meme, there were times when I even had to go to the supermarket by canoe. Yes, that happened more than once, and even though I laugh about it now, back then, it was all chaos. It took me a long time to pull myself out of that dark place, and Iâm not willing to go back there. I know how hard it was to feel good again, and thatâs why I know I need to protect myself. So, Iâve decided to take a step back. This doesnât mean Iâll be leaving this hobby, but I will stop producing content under a paid system. I want to free my work from that pressure and allow those who enjoy it to access it in a more open way, without me having to meet deadlines or self-imposed standards. I want you to understand this: Iâm not quitting something I love, but I do need to change how I do it to take care of my mental health. If you ever thought that what I did was good, please understand that this decision is part of me loving myself more. I also want to be honest in another way: this hobby, the way I was carrying it out, no longer aligns with the person I want to be. When I talk to friends and mention what I do, reactions tend to be split. My closest ones laugh with me, but those who arenât or who are older question whether itâs okay what I do. It doesnât leave a good impression, and that makes me uncomfortable. I want to live in peace, and I want to have a hobby that allows me to interact more openly with the people around me, something that makes me feel comfortable with myself. Thatâs why Iâm taking this step. RBP will disappear. My Pixiv, Twitter, and Fanbox accounts will be closed at the end of the month, but Patreon will remain open as a space to download my past work. If in the future I create something new, Iâll likely share it there for free. This is not the end for me, but the beginning of a necessary change. Itâs a chapter Iâm closing with gratitude, because it allowed me to learn, grow, and discover a lot about myself. I made mistakes, and I made bad decisions, but who doesnât in their character development? Sometimes I feel like the universe decided to put me in âlegendary modeâ with epic challenges, and even though it pains me to say goodbye to this chapter, I know it was key in my story. Life goes on, and the best thing I can do now is to keep moving forward, freer and at peace with myself. Thank you for everything.
