Going into this movie the one thing I did know was that it was an original story, so not an adaptation of the manga. I was sure there was no way Anya was walking out of this movie with a Stella. So, I think that definitely tempered all of my plot-related expectations, which definitely let me enjoy the all the nonsense a lot more (e.g. that entire Poop God sequence).

I'm with you on this movie, Sarah. I knew coming in that it was an original plot, so I didn't have much expectations, but overall it felt like it was just cute (and that's it) and certain elements were definitely made with a younger audience in mind.
