It's the penultimate episode of the series and OH, things are coming together and simultaneously falling apart! Friendships have been tested, families have been reforged and split, relationships have been mended and left in the dust...as Jayce gathers everyone against the storm, Viktor makes the decision to power forward towards his "Glorious Evolution."

What is going to remain of everyone in the last episode?! I am on the edge of my seat, y'all!

The leg lock, the lip caressing, the face to face "partner" talk, pushing on table, the choking.... Viktor I know you want Jayce bad but damn, you kinky mf. I love the fight so much, not a good yaoi if isn't a bit toxic

Vi finally got to eat her cupcake, and boy did she deserve it after all she's been through. I prefer this version of Jayce that supports Mel and ask her how she's feeling as opposed to the Jayce that was constantly whining, crying, climbing into her lap like a child, complaining, dumping on her, sobbing in her lap, etc. That time in the realm of nightmare actually did him a lot of good.

Isn't it great how everything is going so honky-dory? Lol. As much as I know this is Arcane as, as Jinx says "there are no happy endings" it still sucks to see. Look, I have to say, as much as I think that Jayce is a bit of jinx himself and breaks everything he touches, they do make him a good-looking himbo XD Okay, I'm being harsh, he is acting decisively and thinking for himself, and that is great to see... it only took him seeing the end of the world (?) to make his mind about something. Mel being nonchalant about being a mage... sort of makes sense. I mean, she's always felt different from her family, and her mother only reinforces this idea by vanishing her; so, I guess it only made sense to her that, yes, she is a mage and that is the reason of her not fitting in. She says something to that effect later on in the episode when she says that her blood is "alien" to her now. Plus, she also mentions that she had being feeling queer since the attack, when she probably awakened her powers when she protected herself and Jayce from the rocket. It was like a puzzle piece finally finding its place, I guess. Ambessa vanishing Mel to Plltover, a place that hates magic and has harsh rules about it, is definitely not a coincidence. And, you know, without Jayce having being obsessed with it, she probably wouldn't have had reason to discover her powers in the first place as Piltover was also a place of peace, as far as anyone knew. She even makes her way to Mel the moment that Piltover starts to have major unrest; and while, yes, this was also because she wanted Hex Tech to combat the Black Rose, I think we've been shown that Ambessa is very complicated when it comes to her daughter, and I think both things can be true with her. I remember watching Season 1 and, as someone who had never being in any sort of contact with the LOL games or world previously, feeling uneasy with Viktor when he first showed up. He tells Jayce, "do you think I always wanted to be an assistant?" and his focus on Jayce's research showed his ambition, even if he demonstrated he had a good heart as well. So, his transformation doesn't come out of nowhere, even when it's aided by Warwick's blood mutating him, and is brilliant progress to his arc. That whole scene with the breaking of the cycle of violence gives me chills every time. Vander spoke to that effect way back in Season 1 to Vi, when he takes her to the bridge after she starts getting restless with the way the Enforcers were acting in the Undercity, how terrible violence is and if Vi is ready to pay its price; and while not exactly the same conversation, or words I think it's clear how this is something that the show has being trying to say from the beginning, how that cycle needs to be broken and not perpetuated, and how that is not achieved easily. Now, what actually will come from it will only be known in the next episode, the last one, but I do love the set-up. After the Caitvi break up in arc 1 I remember seeing people saying that they needed a spicy scene to make up for it, and it blows my mind that the show actually gave them one *lol* Weird location, but I guess you gotta take whatever you can get. Jinx's Rapunzel hair is so shocking to me; like, I knew it was long, but seeing it all spread out like that was something else. Caitlyn talking to Jinx was something that was needed. No, they don't solve anything, not really, but is a good step taken, with both of them recognizing their wrongs, and how the only path forward is plowing ahead as they can't erase or rehashed anything already done. I particularly loved Jinx telling Caitlyn that she didn't know that her mother was in the Council Room, even if that wouldn't have truly matter to her, because... yeah, Jinx didn't know *anyone* was there because it was at night, and I don't think the Council met at night; I think she thought she was just firing to an empty building and destroying a symbol of Piltover's power, but not murdering anyone as it should have been empty.

RIGHT?! That entire council room scene? I've dissected it and been obsessed with Viktor and Jayce in Act III now -- I love itttttt -- and Dom Viktor emerging in S2? We live! Thank you for the comment!

Yessss, good for Vi getting some happiness (and sweets ;) )! She definitely deserves it! And YES - I'm so glad that Jayce (after realizing he's an idiot sandwich) is giving to Mel her flowers and support -- I definitely prefer that than him dumping on her before and them just being intimate -- everyone gets growth in this series!! :D Thank you for the comment!

*NERVOUS LAUGHTER* Right? Everything’s going perfect, right?! I can totally agree Jayce is a Jinx himself, but dang, he has an amazing himbo look! I agree that about Mel as well! I like that concept of “puzzle pieces” all falling into place for her now that her mage abilities have activated. And yessss, that makes SO much sense about Ambessa taking her to a place that wouldn’t want her to be near magic – and thennnnn came Jayce and Viktor! ;) I really like Viktor’s arc as well and yesss, I agree that it makes sense with his evolution overall! I love that tie back to Vander as well! So true on the callbacks in this series and everything connecting so well. Yes, I love the set up as well! And hey, you know, I give Arcane for giving us spicy! I’m glad that Vi finally got some happiness. But YES, Jinx’s hair it’s soooo long! And that scene with Caitlyn was so good! It felt like conversation between them that needed to happen. It’s such a good realization to see what Jinx was “expecting” out of a moment and what we the audience as well as Caitlyn and others thought conversely. Thank you for the comment! I can’t believe that this next week is the final episode!!

I saw your post about your weather problems, i hope everything has worked out and you now have reliable access to electricity, internet and all that good stuff that makes our comfy modern lives possible. Mel always had good style but did her captors put her in those new clothes or did she magically create them? Either way she never looks unfashionable. Well Vi, Cait is a police officer and Jinx is a known mass murderer, a terrorist and the one that killed her mother, so putting her in a cell doesn't seem that an extreme action to me. Did Cait break up with Maddie somewhere? Otherwise Cait is more of the trollop at this point in time. :P Hmm thinking about it, Cait is a posh police officer from the upper city and Vi is a butch tatted up jailbird from the undercity, that location might just be a part of Cait's kink... just saying. Speaking of that, making it risque? When one factors in that the studio making Arcane is french it makes much more sense. I agree, Mel's storyline feels a bit rushed and as i haven't seen the last episode yet i don't know how they'll use her there, but i did see a movie/trailer for upcoming content for League of Legends making it seem more of a tie in for that than anything else. If that is how it goes it feels a bit off as the first season was perfectly fine to watch without any game knowledge, and i might argue in fact even better without it. Now if they do some spinoff show that will continue Mel's story i'll allow it. But that trailer might be something to react to (or just watch on your own time) as it does tie in to things that happened in Arcane.

Thank you for the consideration and kind words! I have power at home after about three days, so that's great! However, still working on the Internet getting back, so hopefully that will get resolved by the end of the month. Mel will always be fashionable! I feel maybe it was a combination of her own design and magic? I'd like to think that anyway. But yes, I haven't watched the cinematic yet so I'm avoiding the rest of the comment after the "Mel's storyline," because I plan to react to that when my Internet is back #nospoilers - You know how I work on this channel! :) And yeah, Cait's actions do seem justified, no matter what state Jinx is in - and Cait...well...yes, she may be more of the trollop than Maddie at this point. BUT, I 100% support the kinky scenario with the cop and the jailbird you propose here! :D I hope you like the last episode! Curious to know your thoughts! Thank you for the comment and stay safe!

I don't really live close to any friends or family so when my internet goes out for just a few hours i feel really isolated (as it is my main way of staying in touch, especially with my brother), going without for weeks doesn't sound appealing. And i guess for you with reacting and patreon stuff not having reliable internet is a big hindrance/annoyance. Yeah haven't watched the last episode yet but i'm sure i'll have time for it this weekend, then i'll share my houghts on it and the season as whole. I thought about how to be as vague as possible about the cinematic but seems you were already aware of it and that is all i wanted.

romaniablack

I can definitely relate to that isolation! It's mainly an "annoyance" for me but nothing life-threatening - just finding a work around at least helps somewhat! However, it has made me behind on checking comments, so I will definitely get to your other comment here soon! Thanks for the reply!
