Redesign part 7 (Patreon)

For Zero Zivan. When I googled for this, there’s a seahorse and a sea horse and the sea horse with a space is basically the half horse half mermaid in a nutshell. There’s different takes on what to with the hooves and I opted to keep them rather than a webbed foot design. Idk it just looked weird on a horse even if it’s functional but whatever. Anyway. I based this redesign to that of a seahorse. The ”scales” or platings on the body seems rougher than the fins and I like that. Rougher platings - spiky shapes. Flowy fins - curves. Even made a “skirt” where the tail starts.

I get to do some gradient coloring design with this. The idea here was to keep everything cool tones but separate the lighter shades apart, like how the bright fins and underbelly are separated from the darker blue of the rough platings.
