Hey friends! How are you? I feel like I am still catching up on life from being sick and then The Poppies! Did you know its daylight savings this weekend as well? Is this the one where mornings will be darker but it will be light later?

Speaking of the Poppies, THANK YOU!! Thank you so so much for coming/watching/ commenting/sharing etc. It means so much. All the work is so worth it for your support and the fun event that it turns out to be every year.....kinks and all! It was fun to pretend to be fancy for a minute and to celebrate the movies and this community!

We currently have 3 polls going on! Two courtroom pools-Poll A and Poll B, as well as a Gene Hackman Poll which ends tomorrow, they are all pretty close!

This week we continue on with the POTA series, hopefully no more skin suited prayers to nuclear fallout ;) We also have my PPOTM, I was deciding between Shakespeare in Love and Collateral for my pick of the month, but then the Now and Then Soundtrack came on my spotify randomly. and it felt right!

March Madness is coming up! How many of you were around for last year? It was so fun! There are a few ideas we are throwing around to change things up but either way it is going to be a blast! So keep that on your radar.

Also we will be doing the PiB Pick-a-Flick drawing tomorrow sometime in the afternoon! May the odds be ever in your favor!

Love your faces!

Cassie

Sean Kay

Yay, first on accident Love you Gene!

Rosario Cicero

I watched most of EFTPOTA on tv and boy was that a bummer

Redrum Ritual

Rest in peace Gene Hackman and Michelle Trachtenberg

MikeLL

OK, all I saw on the post was Escape From the Planet of the Apes so I had to come and comment on that. Nobody tells her anything about this movie, NO SPOILERS!!! Not a word. heh, heh

Neil Varma

March madness was so brilliant

Stick Figure Studios

NOW AND THEN is a nice movie, but I'm so glad you decided to watch the next POTA. For me, it's the best of the original sequels with the following one (CONQUEST) being the second best sequel (and a huge influence on the reboot trilogy), so I hope you give that one a try as well. You can skip BATTLE (ugh). Also, I hope that a great Gene Hackman film wins the poll. I am looking forward to this week regardless, but that will only enhance it. :-)

Jenny_M

Oh my word, Now and Then! I was just lamenting the other day that there aren't any reactions to it, and now one of my favorite reactors is diving in. I must have watched it a dozen times growing up and I'm excited to revisit it with you as a grown-up. Glad you're feeling better!

Bill Maurer

"The Searchers " ???

Sean Kay

Ya very weird reports and a lot of fog around what happened to her...sad any way you cut it tho

Joshua Campbell

I recommend Tommy Lee Jones again in U.S Marshalls. Wesley Snipes (Blade) & Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man). It's a sequel to The Fugitive.

Shad Kanyak

Cassie’s pick of the month streak of lower views than normal looks like it’s going to hold.

Larry Darrell

Thanks again for continuing with the Original Apes films and… Holy Cow!! Now and Then!! Awesome!! About the Gene Hackman Poll… This Poll was created to pay tribute to the Acting Genius that we know by the name, Gene Hackman. If Enemy of the State (1997) wins, watching this film alone does not do this Poll or the memory of Gene Hackman justice. Hackman is not the star of this film, and his character is only slightly above glorified cameo status. What little time he has on screen is magnificent, no doubt, but it just isn’t enough, alone, to give the proper respect that Gene Hackman’s memory deserves. So… I would strongly recommend watching the runner-up film, The French Connection (1971) as well. 8 time Oscar nominated film, Winning 5 Oscars, including… Best Picture Best Actor in a Leading Role for Hackman Best Director Best Writing Best Film Editing The French Connection is the film that turned Gene Hackman into a Star. Special Times call for Special Measures… There is one more film that needs to be seen. We live in a time, when we have the ability to easily experience films in the best way possible. Why should we not allow ourselves to Maximize our Efforts. You only get One First Time viewing. Why not make it the best it can be. If Enemy of the State must be watched, because it wins the Poll, then… The Conversation (1974) really, really, really should be watched First. Just google the names of both films together, and you will see countless articles, threads and YouTube videos talking about how… “Enemy of the State is the unofficial sequel to The Conversation.” The Conversation, written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather/Apocalypse Now/The Rainmaker), also by the way, was nominated for the Best Picture and Best Writing Oscars. The Conversation is a Conspiracy Thriller! We all know how much Cassie loves those, right? Special Times call for Special Measures… Please, Please, Please consider turning this Gene Hackman Poll into a Gene Hackman theme week by watching these three films… The French Connection (1971) The Conversation (1974) Enemy of the State (1997) Gene Hackman was one of the greatest actors of multiple generations. He is one of Cassie’s favorite actors. His passing deserves the Best Tribute possible. One with Maximum Effort.

Mark T

Fantastic job by everyone who worked on the production of The Poppies, I really enjoyed it! Also, so happy you decided to watch "Escape from the Planet of the Apes", besides the original, it is my favorite of all the OG POTA movies. I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction!

Thomas Thompson

If The French Connection doesn’t win the poll I’m going to have an embolism.

William Bryan

Just waiting for October yet again Cass... 😉☠️👹🎃

Joe

She got my hopes up for Collateral...argh. 😭

Seymor Butz

Looking forward to Shakespeare in love when you do get to it.

Mike Lemon

If the pattern holds, it should lose on a poll next month. Then you can join Bjorn and myself with our pushed for movies.:-)

Godzilla Jones

Aww... You're gonna love Now and Then!

Mike Lemon

"daylight savings this weekend" Woohoo, my clocks will be right again. Now if we can only get Congress off its backside and finally end this stupid clock switching. After a quick search, it looks like 75-ish% want the switching to end and less than 20% want to keep it. End it already! "Pick-a-Flick ... May the odds be ever in your favor!" The odds are never in my favor.

MikeLL

I must confess. Now and Then. I'm not sure I ever even heard of this movie? Well, during the 90's, all the movies I wanted to watch were action movies. There are so many movies to which I have to see Cassie's reaction. Off the top of my head I MUST see Cassie's reaction to Gone With The Wind (1939) Sergeant York (1941) The Maltese Falcon (1941) Mister Roberts (1946) The Searchers (1956) Rio Bravo (1959) That actor Ward Bond is a supporting actor in all the above movies is just a wild coincidence. Just a coincidence.

Dean Holt

Oh well you can’t win every week 😂😂, I’ll probably give the Yt edit of POTA a watch just to see what you thought of it. From what I remember it is better then the last one but not by much, as regards to Now & Then it just doesn’t look like my kinda thing. But no worries as you’ve watch quite a lot of great movies over the last few months, but please next time you nearly decide to watch Collateral and don’t please keep it to yourself 😂😂. Just one last thing a massive well done on the poppies to everyone who worked on it. Really enjoyed watching, but don’t worry about the technical stuff that’s all part of live tv.

Happy Hanukkah

" It was fun to pretend to be fancy for a minute" Fancy that! "The Now and Then Soundtrack came on my spotify" Featuring Sophie Hawkins' other song. :-) "May the odds be ever in your favor!" They always are, for I am the oddest of all!

Happy Hanukkah

It is March 2025, and I hereby advocate for *that* version of The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996). [#003]

Happy Hanukkah

In order to do him justice, here's a poster in which he gets top billing! https://tinyurl.com/4rpjt58w [links to Wikipedia] :-P

Just Plain Bob

I would be all for it as long as Cassie did her first ever documentary reaction as her follow-up: “Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s Island of Dr. Moreau.” It’s one of the best docs I’ve ever seen about the insanity surrounding the making of a film.

Larry Darrell

It better not take as long as it took Lana to turn into Natalie. That’ll be the day.

Dan M

Daylight Savings…YES! The second sign that Spring is on its way ( the first being the start of Spring Training for the MLB, of course)! And my drive home from work will now be in the daylight 😁. Thank YOU for The Poppies, Cassie! As usual, the show was great and a ton of fun. Honestly, other than the CMA’s, it’s the only awards show I will watch now. You are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Now and Then! You think the soundtrack just felt right? Wait until you see this gem…nostalgia and giant smiles from beginning to end. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us with this years March Madness. Last year was a blast, and the icing on the cake was my pick winning the tournament (U-Conn/Mr. Holland’s Opus).

Sam Wilson

I enjoyed last year's March Madness here on PIB as one of favorite movies. "Smokey and The Bandit", ended up in the final four with its 'own reaction, a great one at that!

Jason Henderson

Yay!! That’s great news!!☺️ So excited and happy to hear!! Great job Cassie!!🍿 so greatly appreciated!! Good luck tomorrow everyone!

Chris Thom

Woah I had a weird ESP thing that you were going to watch Now and Then. Or maybe you just said it in one of the chats but I knew that was coming, LOL. That Escape from the Planet of the Apes poster has me cracking up so hard and I don't know why. Maybe it's because my mom had that same haircut growing up. This is one of the odder couple of weeks on the channel but I did it. Dazed and Confused took us back to high school...Now and Then going to set you back to puberty. Buckle up. Charming cast in that.

Vincent Vega

Regarding Gene Hackman. He is an incredible actor and those are some fantastic films! obviously Superman is a classic and Gene is brilliant in it. Crimson Tide us another fantastic film, especially if you enjoyed Das Boot. Different plot but still on a submarine. The Firm is really good. Tom Cruise is brilliant in it in fact everyone is. Honestly, I can't even call it, Gene was brilliant in all his films. Whatever you go for, will be a great choice.

Louisa Moritz

That was a great reaction! Cassie sure looked like she was having a great time watching it! I wonder if she ever showed it too her boys like she mentioned.

Katie Jackson

YYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!! Now And Then!!!! I guess hacking your Spotify worked🤔😆 Well, I don't have to worry about the PPOTM since I kinda just won. You've definitely made my week. As for daylight savings, the saying is "Spring" Forward and "Fall" Back to help you remember. So longer days, summer is not far now☺️ The Poppies are always great and the only awards show I watch. Everyone did so great, it really does get better every year. March Madness was fun last year, I'm looking forward to doing it again

Erik Locquiao

Has anyone messaged Cassie here and received a reply? I know she’s said she takes awhile to reply, just wondering about how long. I’ve had a couple questions that I sent back in December about and haven’t heard back.

Chris Thom

I remember Christina Ricci being a pretty big deal at the time. And Thora was in Hocus Pocus. Vague memories of these girls doing Ouija in a cemetery.

Joel Wayne

I want Cassie, or almost anyone, to react to Operation Petticoat (1959)

Chris Thom

I've gotten replies but never to an actual question I asked myself. Lol. Hurts my feelings not gonna lie. But I know she's got a lot of s-- to do.

Joel Wayne

I saw it in the theater and thought it was one of the worst movies I'd ever seen.....and I like almost every movie I decide to watch....lol

Joel Wayne

Cassie, congratulations on a very enjoyable 4th Poppies. It wouldn't be an award show without some type of glitch, or controversy.

clutchkman

The Poppies were great. I especially liked the Star Trek song/montage. "Picard and Rikard" 😁

Erik Locquiao

I figured she has tons of stuff that takes priority, but yeah I wasn’t sure if “awhile” for her meant days, weeks or months (which I’m at haha). Thanks

Anthony Carlson

Well, in a few weeks, once all the paperwork is finalized, you’re looking at a first time homebuyer!!!! I can’t wait to own my first house!! Here’s how I feel about it! (https://youtu.be/TEBwq4A1wsU?si=9i755XDdNmc4HFAn)

Happy Hanukkah

Chris, maybe we should compare notes; you might have gotten the answers to my questions! :-)

Chris Thom

Adrien Brody threw his damn gum at the audience at the Oscars. It's a messy business. lol

Joe

I've never received a reply from her here on patreon, or via direct messaging. Here are a couple of better options: - Using superchat, message her during a YT premiere, this has worked for me a few times. - During her monthly hangout with Extra Butter Patrons there's a good chance she will answer an inquiry.

Chris Thom

Aww I got no problems with Rosie. Used to watch the hell outta her show on daytime.

Anthony Carlson

All I can say is it’s a beautiful condo. Heck of a starter home if you ask me…🙂

Bill Maurer

It sure has my vote !! It should and could win a John Wayne Western poll. It better. But he has a wide range of very good to excellent Westerns over 5 decades

Chris Thom

We got Apocalypse Now out of it. That was cool. Really wasn't sure that would ever make an appearance on the channel.

Choof

Good news, she's watched Superman, The Firm and Crimson Tide for the channel already, just search them up and her full lengths are here

Bill Maurer

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is another great John Wayne/John Ford western ..with Jimmy Stewart!

Joel Wayne

I knew I forgot something when I commented earlier. Loved the March Madness brackets last year. So many great movies had to fall 😞 I'm interested in the possible changes and wonder if those should be in a poll? Three movies that will NEVER EVER win a poll that I'd love to see you react to star actors that were very young when they made them Better Off Dead (1985) - John Cusack Loverboy (1989) - Patrick Dempsey....though he was slightly older here than in Can't Buy Me Love, which you've already reacted to Once Bitten (1985) - Jim Carrey....probably my favorite of his because he's not "Jim Carrey" as far as many of his films are. Yes, these are all cheesy but such fun. Let's through in Revenge of the Nerds (1984) - Anthony Edwards....you know him as Goose and might have watched him in ER

Jakob Rygh

Need to finish the Cornetto Trilogy, and watch The World's End. Take a break from popcorn and embrace the ice cream!

Robert Evans

It’s pretty bad. The only good adaptation so far was Island of Lost Souls —- precode goodness

Chris Thom

Pretty sure those are both inevitable. Maybe sooner than later.

bgb1975 (Brian)

Congrats, Anthony. Try to throw a few extra bucks towards the principal every month if you can. Pay it down quick!

Thomas Thompson

The French connection aside from featuring one of the most famous car chases in cinema is based on a true story and the two cops involved in the actual case were technical advisors on the film the film also stars Roy Scheider before he appeared in jaws as the police chief

Richard Maurer

Why do we have to wait is my question? Other Reactors are watching horror outside of October now, time for Cassie to copy them for a change.

Richard Maurer

Happy Hanukkah- I thought we were past your temporary (I thought) madness. Desist, before we all pay the price!

Larry Darrell

I’m the opposite. I love the wintertime, so I will be having to add an hour until time gets right again in November.

TheSingulatarian

My vote is for "Paul". Combining Cassie's love of Science Fiction with her love of Simon Pegg.

shaneth138

Aw dang it. I was really hoping you were going to skip the bad Planet of the Apes sequels. Guess I’ll just have to wait a few months for the worth while ones.

shaneth138

‘Paul’ is a fun one too even if it’s not officially part of the trilogy.

Richard Maurer

If the movies are picked from Popcorn Requests again I would like a little more madness this time, like random picks from the top 2000, or even from all 6000+ movies with one or more votes for full on insanity.

Happy Hanukkah

No disrespect intended to Rosie (though "charm" is not a word I personally would associate with her). Offhand, the one movie scene I remember her for is a monologue in Beautiful Girls (1996). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Fbwsh9Iw_w (With Matt Dillon and Timothy Hutton mugging in the background.)

TheSingulatarian

This being a movie channel my vote is for "The Kid Stays in the Picture" and "Easy Riders, Raging Bulls". Both about 1970s cinema.

Javier Hernandez

Good call, maybe a cop true story poll: The French Connection (1971) Gene Hackmen Badlands (1973) Martin Sheen Serpico (1974) Al Pacino The Onion Field (1979) James Woods To Catch A Killer (1992) Brian Dennehy Monster (2003) Charlize Theron American Gangster (2007) Denzel Washington End of Watch (2012) Jake Gyllanhaal

Happy Hanukkah

You know the price - Hard Target (1993). How far will I go? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeTsQQ22Uwc

Richard Maurer

Cassie your next ppotm should be a film called……..Horror of Dracula. It has action, romance, adventure, and ……HORROR!

Ben Schwartz

Ohhh I totally forgot about Now & Then! I think I was around 13 or so when that movie came out and I remember really loving it... sort've a 'Stand By Me' type of story. Good call!

TheSingulatarian

"Under Siege" where TLJ and Gary Busey save Steven Segal even though they are villains in the movie. And TLJ has a sporting part in "Love Story".

Robert Evans

I’m more partial to ‘Conquest’ but I Remember seeing Escape in the theater

Happy Hanukkah

I mildly enjoyed Patrick Dempsey's other movie from the same year, Happy Together alongside Helen Slater (with some sightings of baby Brad Pitt).

Javier Hernandez

I agree that Once Bitten was a "before they were famous" type performance. Carrey isn't as over the top as his other roles and the "good girl v bad girl" trope is fun.

Javier Hernandez

Yes the Poppies were fun! I like that you had other reactors participate. Way to spread the love!

Richard Maurer

HH - would you settle for The Island of Dr. Moreau (77) and Surviving the Game (94(?

Javier Hernandez

No way out - Sean Young....so pretty. Been crushing on her since Blade Runner and Dune.

Happy Hanukkah

RM - I love that song! Kill away, kill away, kill away! (To the shores of Tripoli.) And no. Macro-me or bust! :-)

Happy Hanukkah

Just to be safe: Cassie, please don't confuse Horror of Dracula with Joanna Pacula. :-P

Dan M

Once I saw Now and Then as her PPOTM, I couldn’t wait to see your response. I know you’ve been asking for this one for awhile now. You’ve got some powerful mojo there, Katie. Now if she can remember my two suggestions during The Poppies and somehow work them into the schedule, March will be a ton of fun, even before March Madness begins 🤞.

Dan M

That’s the perfect way to describe Now and Then….the female version of Stand By Me.

Dan M

Love all of these movie suggestions. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve seen Loverboy. And there’s always room for Nerds. I’ll throw in one more 1980’s cheese flick… Just One of the Guys (1985).

Dan M

There’s no place like homeownership. Congrats!

Mark T

I really like Conquest also, those are the two best OG sequels. Ricardo Montalban!

Claudia

No way!!!!! I'm so happy you're doing now and then!!!!!

🚩

Mike Lemon · 4d Any chance of a list of names and/or movies submitted so there is nothing like last time? Popcorn In Bed CREATOR · 4d yes we will post the list on patreon the day or two before the draw! but the drawing is tomorrow and there is no list.

Walter Crockett

I love the third Planet of the Apes. Excited for your reaction

Thoko

Interesting. I had assumed that Cassie had given up on this series after watching the second film.

Rick Rodriguez

I'm over here comforting Collateral after being rejected. "It's ok, buddy."

Mark Vaderr

Cassie, The Poppies were a lot of fun this year. I look forward to the spectacle of the 5th Annual Poppies! Very thrilled that you are continuing the original Apes series. "Escape" and "Conquest" are very good. I'm all set for the Pick-A-Flick, and very excited for March Madness! "Collateral" got bumped by "Now and Then"? 🤢 Cassie, there are times when you frighten me. Looking forward to seeing the results of these polls. Have a splendid week, Cassie! Did you see my little note about John Williams? 😉

Mark White

I agree “Paul” is more of a Cassie movie, you just know she is going to enjoy that one. I love the cornetto trilogy, but I do think the worlds end is the weakest out of the three. But, I would still like Cassie to finish the trilogy at some point.

Vincent Vega

Unrelated but do you happen to know if she's seen Thelma and Louise yet? I only ask because it's a classic chick flick that she and Carly might enjoy but are probably unlikely to have seen before starting this channel. I tried to search it on YouTube but couldn't find it

Kyle

Even as a fan, she should probably skip the last two, but Escape From The Planet Of The Apes is worth watching, especially if you're a Zira fan.

Clarence Newman

Gorky Park has one of the greatest pieces of improvised dialogue ever: A deadpan Lee Marvin: "Man overboard." William Hurt: "What?" A deadpan Lee Marvin: "There's a sliver of food on your upper lip."

Clarence Newman

I'm rooting for you, Richard, but if Cassie Popcorn picks Horror of Dracula, there'll be cats and dogs living together. Total anarchy!

Clarence Newman

Cassie is continuing with the OG Planet of the Apes sequels. Is this not madness enough?

Clarence Newman

I remember that. Will Smith gave him a stick of gum but told him to wait till after the show to use it. When he saw him chewing away on stage, he stood up and shouted "Adrien! Get my gum out of your f-ing mouth!"

Clarence Newman

One of my faves. You know Cassie's having fun when she starts slapping her knee while bouncing up and down on the bed.

Clarence Newman

Bill! Cassie SAID on the Poppies (she SAID it, I tell you!) that she was just gonna watch The Searchers at some point. She's just gonna drop it on us without warning. That's what she SAID, therefore I'm warning you.

Clarence Newman

It needs to be a Popcorn pick, though, because it would be TROUNCED on a poll by The Sons of Katie Elder.

Clarence Newman

Oh, there's a list, V. It's like the movie Nope list, but with undesirable patrons on it. I believe there are 6 or 7 of us on there.

Clarence Newman

In honour of Daylight Saving, Cassie should watch "Daylight" with Sylvester Stallone (1996).

Clarence Newman

Chris. I am also "pretty sure" that "maybe", "sooner or later", both are possibly inevitable.

Clarence Newman

Speaking of Christina Ricci, "Now and Then" could be followed by "Black Snake Moan" (2006). It's virtually a sequel. 🙃

Clarence Newman

In all seriousness, Richard, it does beg the question of why you stay around here all year, given the glaring lack of your favourite type of movie. Not trying to get rid of you, I'm just curious. I imagine there are a lot of channel hoppers who spend a bit of time here and a bit of time there, maximizing their chances of prime content. Kat Watches Horror Movies seems like it's made for you.

William Bryan

I stay cause I'm gonna support Cassie. She was there for me in one of the darkest times in my life when I was in the recovery room from just having had a microdisectomy. I was incredibly depressed and I happen to find her YT reaction to Ghostbusters, my favorite film of all time. So yeah I'm gonna stay and she's gonna get my $150 even if the channel was to go to all rom/coms.

Clay F

Glad that Collateral (which I highly recommend) is still on the radar, and think it fine for you to select whatever you want for PPOTM. "Collateral" (2004) (neo-noir action thriller). Nominated 2 Oscars including Best Supporting Actor (Jamie Foxx). Tom Cruise is awesome. Also stars Jada Pinkett Smith, Mark Ruffalo.

William Bryan

Plus there is a small part of me I think fell for her. She's pretty and incredibly sweet. When I found out she was married I backed off, but still continued to support. She and Ben will always have my support.

MikeLL

It's hardly going to take a few months to watch two or three more movies. Rise of the POTA should/could be in late March or early April.

Richard Maurer

Clarence - Now if I were asking for her for The Exorcist as a ppotm I would agree with you. But Horror of Dracula is such a little thing in comparison. She might actually like it.

Richard Maurer

Clarence - continuing a series against the wishes of a good percentage of her patrons? When does that ever happen here? /s

MikeLL

I heard Congress might end the switching. But they should have done it by now by eliminating Daylight Savings time so we never go back into it. Doctors have said so. Just saying.

Clarence Newman

I think she's helped a lot of us through some dark times, William. And I agree. We can debate and complain and push movies that don't get watched, but she's getting the money regardless.

Richard Maurer

Clarence - I mostly stay to annoy people who ask me silly questions…… seriously, what makes you think I dislike all the content here? I just want to make a small change, not turn this into a horror channel. I already have KatWatchesHorrorMovies for that.

Clarence Newman

One of those that I'm desperate for Cassie to watch, because she'd absolutely love it.

Archronos

"Daylight" is a fantastic film. Such a great setting for a movie and turned everyday people into a little ensemble all uniting for one common goal of surviving what happened to them.

Archronos

I wonder will Cassie still love Tom as much when she finally meets Vincent? :P Here's hoping we see Collateral surface again in the near future

Archronos

I wish you the best of luck Anthony, hope it all goes well! I'm just starting the legalities to close on my first place as well. Managed to get to my 40s without having a lawyer before, but that's come to an end now :D

Richard Maurer

HH reading your song made me think of Come Sail Away by Styx - Come kill away! Come kill away! Come and kill away with me! Heartwarming.

Richard Maurer

Just in case someone takes me seriously in spite of the / s - I know, a percentage of her patrons will be for or against anything she does.

Richard Maurer

Hey she said she might watch The Searchers as a ppotm, so I figured “why not take a shot?”

Clarence Newman

It's very hard to tell, Richard. I believe you were particularly uncomplimentary about Howard The Duck. And approving of the content because it has thus far spurned Rhinestone doesn't count.

Richard Maurer

Clarence - Not me of course. My comments brighten the days of Cassie and her team! Or so I believe.

Mike Lemon

@Mike- I don't care if it is Standard or Saving just end the switching. If Congress can't decide, end it then throw it to a vote (by each timezone?). But this insanity needs to stop.

Richard Maurer

If you’re counting Howard the Duck then a majority of the patrons don’t like the content here ;-)

Bill Maurer

I did hear that, and for the record ... that wasn't me who brought it up. Honest

Clarence Newman

Cassie and Ben are standing together in a room with no windows and no lights. It is midnight in the dead of winter. Ben: "I can't see a thing." Cassie: "Hold on. What's that slightly darker patch over there?" Ben (squinting): "Oh, that's Richard's Pick-a-flick." Cassie: "Dear heavens. What have I just stepped in?" Ben: "Yeah, that's Clarence's." It's the way I tell 'em, you know.

Joe

Hopefully, Collateral is her PPOTM very soon. It's #6 in the popcornrequest app, and has been heavily requested for as long as I can remember. Just do it!

Brodie Vickers

Really appreciate that you're carrying on with the original Ape movies, mostly because no one else other does 😂 These next 2 coming up are my favs behind the original, much better than Beneath in my book. My own review of that from the other day https://letterboxd.com/bro96/film/beneath-the-planet-of-the-apes/1/ . Thanks for the free membership Cass!

kaiielle

Truly cannot express how excited I am for Now and Then and am happy to see you picking it for PPOTM. I showed it to my three girlfriends last year for their first watch and they all loved it. I'll comment more when the reaction drops. It's one of my childhood favourites.

Jon Johns

Hey Erik! Sorry I'm so late to reply to this! I am one of the moderators for the channel. Just one question for you: how many messages per week, on average, do you think Cassie gets? How about YouTube comments? Instagram dm's? Discord? Now, it's natural to think that paying a membership fee should get you at least some direct access, but, you know, Cassie gives about 20 hours a week to this channel only. Most of that is watching movies, posting on various platforms, planning polls, etc. zero of that time is spent replying, just so you know. And the answer to my questions? Over 1000 YouTube comments per week, about 35 Instagram direct messages, and 175 Instagram comments. 200+ Patreon post comments (sometimes MANY more!) and about 100 Patreon direct messages. All that, plus, she is months behind even reading any direct messages. Cassie dedicates her life to her family. This is a side-hystle, and her husband Ben, and all us moderators handle as many questions as we can. That's how this particular Patreon account operates. You can ALWAYS direct message me ANYWHERE or email me directly (JonJohns65@gmail.com) if anything you need is urgent, or can be answered by me. If you're just sending Cassie DMs with requests, or a wishlist... That is futile. We have systems set up for all that. I hope this explains the situation, even if it is completely unsatisfactory. -Jon

Brent Petty

Collateral for the win. Carly would love it also.

Chris Thom

Was thinking that was a vampire movie. But I must be thinking of something else. Don't think I've heard of this.

Chris Thom

I think I was 12. Definitely a pubescent kind of movie that I saw at puberty and it makes me cringe a bit to revisit those years...but here we go. Should be interesting.

Chris Thom

Once Bitten sounds interesting. Never seen that. But someone here on the channel made a collage video of 80's vibes movies and I think that was part of it.

Chris Thom

I think she was in that kids' movie with Michelle Trachtenberg back in the day. (RIP)

kaiielle

No, this is a movie I've seen numerous times since it released.

Canadianant

Somehow I'm not on here. I was pretty sure I entered for last month and then right after that drawing I entered again for this month but maybe not? At least someone else is going for the Blues Brothers some call around great picks on here guys

kaiielle

Hey there, you'll want to leave this comment on the Pick-a-Flick post. They've been replying to members questions' in the comments throughout the day.

Chris Thom

They forgave Harrison Ford...because he was in Working Girl and Shrinking. lol

Mark Vaderr

The more important question is, will Cassie, and possibly Carly, still love Tom when they meet Frank T.J. Mackey in "Magnolia"? 🤣

Well it would be 4 if she watches the Wahlburg one which I am sure a bunch of you will talk her into watching. So that's over a month right there if she does one per week. It will be longer if there are any set backs in her schedule. But yeah it's whatever, I'm over it. She will get to them soon enough.

Good question. Lol. Probably if they stick with it until the end.

Have you seen THE Day The Earth Stood Still

Blasphemy! "Now And Then" is nothing like "Stand By Me". They aren't even in the same galaxy.
