It really is SUCH A GREAT SERIES. So good to see your reaction, it’s like going through all those emotions again. I read somewhere that they had two grandmasters advise on all the chess set ups, so all the games were totally authentic. All of it was brilliant, the styling and set design in particular were just perfection.

Björn Von Knorring

That’s true. Kasparov was one of them. They took authentic games played by Grandmasters and Kasparov even ”improved” some moves.

Robert Greschke

Great watcher you are (the whole series)! Thanks! A cute movie (with a happy ending!) is Inventing The Abbotts. Several young actors that now have big careers.

Terry Yelmene

Thank You, Cassie! You've given us a wonderful reaction to an amazingly brilliant series! Now that Cassie has finished TQG, many here in PiB Community are offering suggestions of TV Series to consider reacting to next. I have many series I'd love to see Cassie react to, but limited length (lessor numbers of episodes) seems to be a most important consideration. Given this preference, I'd like to Strongly Suggest a short (six episode) series called; 'Stateless.' The two great Australian actors Yvonne Strahovski and Cate Blanchett lead a stellar cast to deliver a brilliant and heart-breaking story of the failings of illegal immigration. This Series is More Significant than it is Short. PiB: Please consider reacting to 'Stateless!'

Dearest Cassie, you’ll recall having a brief exchange with my daughter McKenzie when she caught COVID. It meant the absolute world and made her feel so much better. I bought her a couple of T-shirts and a tumbler from the merch store. Do you have any idea if they’ll arrive by Christmas? The order didn’t say. Even if they don’t, we’d like to send you a photo of her in them whenever they arrive. She’s such a HUGE fan of yours and I know will wear the heck out of them. Thank you, again, for taking the time to talk to a sick little girl. You’re the absolute best!

Lamar Smith

May I just say another general ‘thank you’ to this whole community? Many of you passed messages on to her during her exchange w/Cassie. I’m so very grateful to all of you. Thank you.

My suggestion for next tv series: Pushing Daisies. A fairy tale rom-com lit with bright, mostly primary, colors. Brilliantly conceived, acted and directed. Scored 8.4 on IMDB and 94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Viet Ta

Was very excited to see you watching this series. Can't wait for whatever the next series is! Perhaps... LOTR Rings of Power? Lol

Lamar Smith

Precious Cassie, I can’t believe I forgot to tell you, after my daughter and I watched your ‘Q’sG’ reactions, we went and got her a chess set and she’s really enjoying playing. You had a role in a father and daughter bonding experience. Thank you for that.

Mingo Wayama

Stateless is an excellent suggestion. A series I like a lot is Indian Summers (Prime Video), a PBS offering from across the pond. But it is 20 episodes, and not many here will likely have heard of it, so I don't expect it to get much love. I count myself very fortunate that my favorite series, The Queen's Gambit, appeared on this channel. I have no right to complain.

Thanks, Cassie, for your awesome reactions to "The Queen's Gambit." You mentioned a comment which argued that one reason this show is satisfying is that it subverts certain cliches and tropes. I definitely agree. In particular, I found Beth's relationship with her adoptive mother refreshing. When I watched the show for the first time, I expected the mom to get cold feet about adopting Beth when she realized that Beth wasn't a typical child. Instead, the mom embraces Beth's talent and idiosyncrasies. The show gives us a beautifully quirky, loving relationship between these two misfits. Their relationship is especially moving because they are two types of persons that often suffer from negative social stigmas (i.e., orphans and abandoned wives).

I really hope not. It's not real Tolkien, and would be a huge waste of time. It doesn't do well on YT - with good reason.

Richard Maurer

This is a really good show, I enjoyed your reaction a lot. And If you like shows about people who aren't people-pleasers. you should check out Wednesday on Netflix, even if you don't watch it for the channel - although I wish you would. I didn't think I'd like it but I checked out the first episode anyway - ended up bingeing the whole season in 4 days, which is very fast for me.

Jack Pflieder

This sow is completely historically in accurate.

Reed James

It's so accurate Nona Gaprindashvili sued Netflix for defamation over how they protrayed her in the show and they settled with her.

Richard Maurer

This female pig is somehow inside accurate. Sorry, I don't usually pay much attention to spelling/punctuation errors but this was just too funny.
