THE ENDING!!! I did not expect the episode with the subterranean creatures to hit so hard in its connection with the broader story. It’s all I can do to not binge the rest of the season right now. 😭

this might be he biology nerd in me, but I was always slightly bothered by the term homo reptilia, because the silurians are explicitly not related to the genus homo at all. but all in all, despite that a very good episode that I often rewatch.

What I find interesting about the bit seeing Amy and Rory across the way at the beginning is that it implies that there is some version of the timeline where Rory doesn’t die, but that the fact that they saw themselves messed with the timeline and caused him to die. (As there’s no other interference from the future I’m aware of that modified that outcome) Not really the standard bootstrap theory of time travel but I’m also not sure that they gave any real explanation for how that changed things in any notable manner.

"Squeaky Bum Time!" A lovely bit of British slang for you there, meaning something like 'cutting it fine'. Think of someone rushing towards a closing door and sliding through just as it slams closed, on their bum, which makes a sound like when you drag your hand down glass =D
