The earth is hungry?! Doctor Who always finds new ways to surprise me and I definitely didn’t see this story turning the way it did!

I have tried fish fingers and custard. both tastes are mild enough that I don't really mind the fact that they don't go together. I wouldn't mind eating it again, but I won't prepare it for myself out of nowhere.

Chris. Interesting that you mentioned The Planet of the Apes. The original Doctor Who - Silurian serial, which was written by the late Malcolm Hulke, was in 1970, only a couple of years after the original apes film. The book the film was based on, La Planet des Singes - Monkey Planet - was written sixty one years ago by Pierre Boulle. It is very possible that Mac used POTA as a launching point for his saga of Homo reptilia wanting to reclaim what they see as their planet.

"She's just racist!" XD Man, I love your reactions, Chris. Loved this episode pair when they first came out. The Silurians have a special place in my heart - my first childhood encounter with the Whoniverse was Pertwee's Doctor running into the Silurians. Rewatching this now though, all I could think was: it's 2020 and they're not social distancing!

Not exactly a sequel. More of a contextual augmentation to POTA. The original serial is well worth watching.

have we tried fish fingers and custard? of course we have! back when, in my country, we had neither of those things. I went to London specifically to see the DW destinations but, mostly, to try fish fingers and custard. exactly as disgusting as you imagine it. made my brother try it too (he's just a casual DW fan) - he wasn't amused :D

This is the best! I want to go to London right now and start looking for these items. "Excuse me I'm a new Doctor Who fan and I'm looking for fish fingers and custard"
