The Murder of William Moore [Noble Phantasm]
Fatal Blow that Sealed Kidd’s Fate

A single, devastating blow. A projectile attack wherein Captain Kidd throws a weapon at his enemy, and the damage dealt depends entirely upon where the attack lands and what is used as a weapon. The more improvised the weapon is, the more effective the attack, and if it strikes the enemy’s head, then the damage dealt reaches its maximum.

The blow is instantly fatal if the weapon used is a wooden bucket.

This Noble Phantasm is born from Captain Kidd’s single most famous act, the one crime for which his guilt was never questioned, the murder of his gunner, William Moore. Although the exact extent of his criminality as a pirate has since become murky, no mitigating factors have ever been presented to acquit him of this crime, and so it remains the one he is most guilty of.

According to accounts from Kidd’s crew, Moore attempted to egg Kidd on into a clear act of piracy, and when Kidd refused, an argument ensued. Afterwards, Kidd dropped a bucket on Moore’s head, fracturing his skull, and Moore died the next day.

Recreating that act, this Noble Phantasm is the one Captain Kidd despises the most. The situation must be truly desperate for him to attempt its use at all, let alone at its utmost efficacy.
