Re: Alex Jones’ voice - is a major element vocal fry? He has learned to, or just does, use vocal fry to produce deeper vocal tones. Both men and women use/produce vocal fry; women just get more shit when they do it.

Re: QAnon and anonymity on 4Chan. Whenever you make a post on 4Chan, you can include what's called a tripcode in your post. Say I put in the tripcode "goblob" for instance; this then generates a specific code which gets appended to your post. The only way to get that code is to enter "gobblob." It's basically a password. Anyone who has that specific tripcode can thus be verified as - at the very least - someone who knows that password ahead of time. That's what the QAnon troll is doing to establish his identity in these posts.

When I saw "Q" in the title, my first thought was Q on Star Trek. XD

SadakoTetsuwan

That's what makes it seem even more trollish to me--someone picking the trickster god character from Star Trek as their screen name while they peddle conspiracy theories?

Hypatia

Can someone else use someone else's tripod in their post? Or once "gobblob" is used, can no other user then adopt that code?

Dave Ligblurt

They could, but they would have to know to do so. So, you could share your password with other people and they could generate the same tripcode, thus masquerading as you. Theoretically they could guess what your password is, though obviously that would take a lot of trial and error.

Ermahgerd, was that a Neverending Story reference?????
